We used DJ Connection on a friend's referral and our experience was fantastic. They had well-timed meetings and a very easy-to-use music selection platform. I appreciated the call the week of our wedding to review each song and it's placement--along with our notes.
For example, for the MOB entrance, we played the first few beats of "The Imperial March" and then switched back to earlier instrumental tracks. The DJ was very flexible and the joke was perfectly timed (and well received).
The DJ got on the floor to help lead some line dances and let us end early when we felt we'd done everything. Since my husband I met at a dancehall, music is a big part of our relationship and they captured it so well. -

I cannot express how happy we were with our experience with DJ Connection and DJ Austin here in KC. setting our playlist was a breeze, the whole team was extremely communicative through every step of the process, and our DJ, Austin, took our vision and elevated it to new heights with his professional, but fun attitude and excellent ability to read the crowd and keep the party going. It’s 2 months after our wedding, and our guests are still raving. We only wish we could do it all over again! We are so thankful for these guys! -

Would (and already have) definitely recommend DJ Connection!!! They did a great job matching us with a DJ. We loved using the client portal to hand pick all the songs that would be played during our special day! Our DJ Tasha even got out on the dance floor with us to try and help bring more energy to the dance floor!! We had a great reception and owe a huge thank you to DJ Connection and especially Tasha for helping make our day so special!!! -

Everyone I talked to while planning everything was absolutely amazing and kind! Johnny was our DJ and I couldn't have asked for anyone better! He was one of the highlights of the night! He went out on the dance floor and was dancing with us, truly amazing! Everybody loved him! -

Our ceremony was outside and they made it work WONDERFULLY!!! Due to the rain, they could not bring all the equipment outside, so they left it inside but turned it up super loud so we could hear it clear as day. The only negative was our DJ occasionally said some cringy things, but that was such a minor setback. Our dance floor was PACKED the entire night! Amazing job! -

Our DJ, KB, was awesome. Our wedding was a mix of family and friends, many reluctant to hit the dance floor. But KB smoothly conducted games and music changes that made it an approachable space.
He handled all the announcements we needed clearly, and thought outside the box to get his tech situated so he would be audible throughout the entire venue.
He remained flexible when we made slight changes to our schedule, and was just all-around helpful.
Leading up to the day, the DJ Connection crew held our hands through some pretty efficient meetings to get our song requests and overall vibe for the event. In short, we strongly recommend 'em!' -

The DJ they sent had no personality did not talk did nothing he was supposed to. Wasted money! Look elsewhere if you want a good non stressful wedding or event!!DJ Connection's reply:
Thank you for taking a few minutes to speak with us on the phone after your event. After speaking to the DJ and other vendors, it seems we did everything we could on your wedding day to help you out based on your requests. After you guys declined the equipment required to do the intricate setup requested, we did what you asked us to do and to the best of our ability with what we had. Speaking to other vendors, it seems you were unhappy with several of your vendors and asking for several vendors to refund you money. I'm not quite sure what is going on or why it is that you are looking for money back from... -

I wouldn't touch this company with a 10 foot pole. The absolutely ruined my wedding day. Like how can you play the wrong first dance song. And then when this was brought to their attention they said that would give me a refund and then never did. Absolute trash. If you don't want to be crying on your wedding day find a better company!DJ Connection's reply:
Hey Jasmin, we’re sorry we didn’t have the correct expectations. We never played off a “Spotify” list, only your must play list. After speaking with you after the wedding, our inflexibility was due to not listening to members of your bridal party that wanted different things than yourself and your wedding planner. As well as we are sorry that we could only refund the card we had on file, which was your mothers who you said “Ruined your wedding and you don’t want her to have the money" -

Our DJ was good! However he kept asking questions which I wish he would have taken authority with that instead. I know that is not something he can control personality wise as most would probably prefer him to ask and make sure his executive decisions are ok but because we were so short on time it seemed like everything we did had to be asked and oked and it took away from the total experience. -

Our DJ experience was fantastic! We had a small wedding of under 50 people and were worried that a DJ would be too much. Ours turned out perfect! He was accommodating, kind, and hyped us up the perfect amount, plus he played all our songs we wanted to hear! -

DJ Connection was the perfect fit for our wedding day. From the day we booked all the way up to the week of the wedding, we were able to curate the vibe and songs we wanted to play for our family and friends. The staff at DJ Connection were so fun to talk to as well. They take the time to get to know you and then find a DJ that will fit your vision perfectly. We are still getting compliments from friends and family telling us how fun our reception was, even some have said our DJ is the first to ever make them want to dance at a wedding! They also do awesome deals on their packages throughout the year. 100000/10 recommend them! -
