    DJ Marty was awesome!

    Loved how fun Marty was! He also met with us prior to the wedding to make sure all was in line. I would highly recommend Marty for your DJ on wedding day!

    The best DJ!

    We loved have Dj Marty Medlin at are wedding! We was funny and kept the party going! Would highly recommend him!

    Fantastic!

    When we were searching for a DJ, we not only wanted someone that was reliable and we could trust, but played the music we imagined and desired (because everyone will remember whether they had fun busting a move or not). Not only that but we were located a state away and I in an intensive graduate program. Marty was flexible with hours and made discussing reception topics/music super easy! Most importantly he understood our need for a good mixture of music as we had guests from all different generations. My guests continue to tell me what a fun time they had at our reception and that is all thanks to Marty! It was a great time for all!

    Marty was great to work with! He has a very detailed timeline of events that makes knowing what you need super easy if your unsure. It also assures that you are both on the exact same page. He's a great person and has a wonderful personality. He kept the party going all night long! I had so many compliments after the wedding how much fun it was and how great the DJ was able to keep it going! Loved working with him! I will definitely go to him for any future business!

    Wedding reception

    Marty dj'd Our wedding reception. He took the time to come sit down and talk to us about what type of music we wanted to hear. Answered all our dumb questions with a smile. He was on time and set up when we arrived and kept the dance floor hopping all night. I would recommend him to everyone.

    Yall. DJ Marty was amazing. He worked with us to set up a sound system to have our own musicians during the ceremony and then rocked it OUT for 5 straight hours during the reception. Once the dance party started, it was literally packed for the rest of the night. This guy can run a party. He's also tasteful, funny, engaging and great at what he does. We loved every minute!

    DJ Marty is an incredible personality, and so wonderful to have behind the mic and music! He is so much fun, plays what we wanted to hear and even surprised us with some tunes that really made the night! He knows what to play, and when, and gave the night a really carefree tone. EVERYONE was out on the dance floor, even my little ol' grandma! Really an incredible night, couldn't have asked for more! And as for working with him, he was as fun in person as he was voicing over our wedding. Thumbs up all around!

    I have known DJ Marty for over 10 years and have seen him at several occasions over those years, from work functions to parties. When our daughter started planning her wedding in 2014, I immediately knew who we had to have as the DJ!! On 5/17/15, our daughter got married and of course we had the best DJ around. While Marty is very professional in his responsibilities of being a DJ, he knows how to ensure the whole party has a great time and that he gets everyone up dancing at some point in time. I would recommend Marty to anyone without a second thought.

    I am a photographer with Summer Herlocker Photography and words can NOT begin to describe how much we LOVE working with Marty! We always recommend him to our couples because he has an amazing personality, great at getting the party started and keeping it going, works amazing with the bridal party, guests, and vendors. His equipment is wonderful and the sound and lights really keep the reception going. I know as vendors we can not please everyone but it truly breaks my heart to see a negative comment about Marty Medlin. I can not say one negative thing about him. He loves his job and it shows in all he does for you for this big important day. If you have any questions or would like an unbiased opinion please contact Kristen Herlocker or Summer Herlocker. We would gladly answer any questions you have concerning Marty. We love it when we get the opportunity to work with him.     Marty was recommended to us by our photographers as they have shot many weddings and knew the vendors that were the best of the best. They weren’t wrong about Marty! He was such a pleasure to work with. He has a great personality and really knows his stuff. He is easy to contact and gets back to you in a timely manner. Our meetings with him were more like having coffee with an old friend…we felt like we had known him forever after one meeting. He was also great at our wedding…he kept the party going and our guests loved the music! He also played all of our guests requests as well as my 90's boy band/spice girls requests which I definitely appreciated.

    I would totally recommend him to anyone as a DJ…you won’t be disappointed!

    Marty was a fabulous DJ at our wedding at Dennis Vineyards on March 14, 2015. Great communication and planning with a schedule of events laid out by Marty. Super easy to reach via email, text or phone. Marty worked beautifully coordinating with our Reverend for the ceremony and music and made the party fun for everyone after the ceremony. We can't say enough great things about Marty! The price was excellent and the value could not be beat. We are so glad we booked with Marty...took the worry out of the music and the entertainment.

    I have known Marty personally before I got engaged, so when I began planning my wedding he was the first person I contacted. I was actually worried about my wedding through the planning process because I had only been to 2 weddings before, but Marty assured me that I would not have to worry about anything. Marty was very personable, understanding, and calmed my nerves! He accommodated to all of my needs and requests - even last minute ones! He did such an amazing job at the wedding, and we had SO MUCH FUN! I honestly could not have asked for a better experience! I will continue to recommend DJ Marty Medlin to anyone looking for an awesome DJ!

    I have been working as a photographer for almost seven years, and we have worked alongside Marty many times. When I got engaged, he stood out in my mind amongst all the other DJ's I had encountered over the years. Marty has this unbelievable ability to keep guests engaged and excited about the party. He understands what song to play at what time to keep from having dull moments on the dance floor. I appreciated Marty's attention to detail. I gave him a list of what I did and did not want, and he stayed true to my requests. I also had several things I wanted him to add during the ceremony and reception and he executed them all flawlessly! He has such a fun personality that is contagious. I am so thankful we hired him as our DJ and I will continue to recommend him to my future brides. Thanks for such a fabulous night, Marty!

    My wife and I have photographed over 200 weddings over the past 6 years, so we have seen our fair share of DJs. Because we are one of the few vendors who actually gets to meet and see other vendors at weddings, we are very particular when it comes to recommending our clients to hire someone for their own weddings. We have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly over the years!
    We see DJs as one of, if not the most important vendor you can hire for your wedding because they have total control of how your ceremony will sound, and how the reception will flow.
    Marty will happily work off of a playlist, but he truly will get to know your personality and style enough that one will not be needed. He feeds off of the energy of the reception to have it fit you perfectly.
    Marty provided us with brilliantly clear sound for our ceremony (out in the middle of the woods) and phenomenal MCing during our dinner and cocktail hours. We had a band during a majority of our reception and Marty worked with them to seamlessly transition from their music to his music while they were on breaks.

    Being able to trust your vendors on your wedding day is integral in making your day as stress free as possible, you can certainly trust Marty!
    Whenever we pull up to shoot a wedding and we see him, we know we are in for a great night of partying and fun!
    He's simply the best!

    DJ Marty Medlin is phenomenal. Our wedding was perfect in every way and Marty played a huge role in that. Ceremony music: perfect. reception music: even better. if you are looking to have a big dance party at your wedding DJ Marty Medlin is your man. He has great song suggestions and knows how to judge a crowd for the right kind of music to play. He is professional but knows how to have a great time. We ended up paying to have him stay an extra hour because the party was going so strong! On top of everything, he is VERY reasonably priced for the quality of service you will receive. My husband and I joked that of we could afford it we would have him DJ our day to day lives because we loved him so much! You cannot go wrong with Marty!

    Dj Marty Medlin did everything we asked for our June 14th wedding; I could not have imagined our big day going any better. He carefully selected music to match our audience and he was even able to be flexible with us when we changed our wedding date.

    When my daughter started planning her wedding and reception, I knew there was only one DJ we wanted. My husband and I have known Marty for a long time and immediately contacted him to DJ the reception on April 19, 2014. While Marty is very pleasant and funny, he was so professional and easy to work with and helped to give our daughter the reception she dreamed of. He provides a huge song list, makes helpful suggestions, listens and provides what you want, and is very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Marty and will definitely be contacting him again. Thank you Marty for an awesome job!

    Marty is the only DJ I would ever recommend to anyone! He was so great to work with. He did DJ'd my wedding reception on April 19th, 2014, even though it was Easter weekend, he had no problem accommodating us. My parents have known Marty for a long time, but I had never met him. When I first sat down with him, he felt like family. He is so nice and so easy to talk to. He is hilarious and really knows how to get the party going. He made our reception so much fun! He had people dancing as soon as they were done eating. He provided us with a checklist to pick songs out by. He was so organized. There were moments in the reception that he had us pick out songs for that we never would have thought of, like cutting the cake and our exit song. He also provided us with the top 50 most requested songs for different dances and the bouquet toss, etc which made the decision on those songs easier, because when it gets time to picking out songs, it can be very overwhelming! Marty is extremely reasonably priced and I will hire him again any chance I get!! Thank you Marty for being so awesome!!!

    DJ Marty Medlin did such a wonderful job for our wedding. It was super easy to work with him and made it stress free for us. He met our expectations and more with the type/style of music we were looking for. The guest just wanted to keep on dancing...it was so much fun. I highly recommend his services and will look to use him again in the future.

    I can't say enough good things about Marty. From the start of our wedding planning process, I knew one thing: I wanted the reception to be a party. I contacted Marty about DJing for us. Not only was he easy to work with, but he provided everything we hoped for. He listened to the choices that my husband and I wanted played, and went out of his way to find the semi-obscure songs we wanted for our dinner music. The quality of his service was amazing, and we couldn't have been happier. We even had him DJ another family event because we loved his service so much.

    One of the things I really liked about Marty is that he kept the party going. He had games that could be thrown in, and he was really able to read the crowd to see what should be played when. If you are looking for a fun, energetic, professional DJ, Marty is your guy!

    DJ Marty is awesome! It’s been just over 3 years since our wedding and we still have people say “That was the most fun I’ve ever had at a wedding!” I attribute this directly to Marty! He has a unique ability to really read a crowd and give them exactly what will keep them moving. I told Marty at our first meeting that I didn’t really think we had a dancing crowd – boy was I wrong! Marty sat down with us before the event and asked questions that helped him get to know us and our musical tastes. While we did pick some specific songs that we wanted played, we really didn’t have to give him much direction. The night was SO FUN because of the great music he chose. His rates are really reasonable compared to others in the area. His set up is tasteful and doesn’t take up a ton of space – he even provided some nice lighting that we hadn’t thought about. I would recommend DJ Marty to anyone for any event – if I ever have an event where I’ll need music again, he’ll be the one I hire.

    I'm a wedding photographer and I've worked with Marty Medlin on numerous occasions. As soon as I see he's the DJ I'll be working with I automatically get excited and know that we're going to have a GREAT time!!! Being in the wedding industry, you see so many different vendors. Some vendors are awesome and some aren't so much. I've worked with some horrible Dj's in the past that really struggled with working the crowd and keeping things going. Marty is the man! He always knows exactly what song to play, has a great voice for the job, is very upbeat and funny, and is just overall an absolutely phenomenal DJ that isn't cheesy like so many others! I highly recommend him and know that anyone that books him is sure to have a great time! Your wedding day is such a special once in a lifetime kind of day....Marty will make that day a party that everyone will be talking about for years!

    Marty did a great job at our wedding and was able to get people up dancing who normally aren't that into it. He's been doing this for years and knows what he is doing for sure.

    If you are very particular about what is played, lay that out in detail. He provides a "do not play" list for a reason, and if you don't put it on there, there is no way of him knowing what not to play.

    I'll start with the negatives, since that's what you want to know if you're reading this review: In terms of professionalism, I have 2 concerns. One is that both of the meetings we had with him, DJ Marty Medlin contacted me at the last minute to reschedule, which was frustrating when planning a wedding. I felt it was inconsiderate of mine and my fiancé's time since we had planned other things around those meetings, and he wasn't very accommodating to our schedules when rescheduling. We ended up having to rearrange other plans to meet with him. My other concern (the bigger one for me) is that we had a photo booth at our reception, and DJ Marty Medlin went to the photo booth to take pictures. The fact that he enjoyed the photo booth was fine -- several of our vendors did this, and I thought it was cool to have them in our scrapbook. However, in one of his photos he was flipping off the camera. I was less than pleased to find this image of one of our vendors (whom we were PAYING to provide a SERVICE for our event) in our scrapbook. I thought it was extremely unprofessional, inappropriate, and distasteful. I was embarrassed that the vendor running the photo booth had seen him do that. I was pleased with the services DJ Marty Medlin provided at our wedding; he kept the guests entertained and the music was great. Since those are the only things that our guests would have noticed, I guess I recommend him in that regard, but I would not have booked him if I'd known I was going to have a picture of his middle finger.
