  Y'all. Stop what you're doing right now and hire Paula. She is so professional, experienced, and organized. She has a wealth of knowledge. She made us feel so calm and prepared in our pre-wedding conversations. She REALLY listened to us. We knew exactly what to expect on the big day. She was so helpful in any area we weren't sure about. She has great ideas. Trust her to do her thing. She reads the crowd so well and really knows how to keep the party going. She DJ'd our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Each part of the overall event was flawless.

  No words.... just dancing!!

  Paula was the absolute highlight of our wedding! I have had multiple, MULTIPLE, people say that there wasn't a single person sitting and that they have never seen a wedding dance so much! I am legitimately SORE from dancing so hard. There was never a dead spot! Paula was an absolute joy to work with and had required little to no direction. We gave her a few ideas of what we wanted and she perfectly understood the vibe and mood we wanted.
  
  The ceremony songs we picked and the fade-outs we wanted were executed perfectly and we just let her fly with the rest and it was perfect! She was extremely professional throughout while also keeping the party bumping! We love Paula and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a great DJ!

  Dj paula shrum in. The. House.

  Paula was everything you could have asked for in a DJ and MC. Her set list was well rounded and she gave us the flexibility to add songs we really wanted and remove songs of hers that didn’t fit our preferences. She was also able to facilitate connection for us to a duo who performed at our ceremony and cocktail hour. Paula was attentive to the flow of the reception in all its various aspects, and got the entire crowd to dance all night.

  Absolutely fantastic!

  Paula was amazing, she knew exactly how to get the crowd on the dance floor and keep them entertained. I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to have not only a DJ but somebody who invests in the night to make it special!

  Such a good party

  Paula is a amazing!! She was right on beat throughout the day and I didn't have to worry one bit. She was understanding of song requests throughout the night and had everyone on the dance floor all night!

  Incredible!

  I can’t say enough good things about Paula. When I began planning I called a few different DJs but she instantly caught my attention with how fun, easy-going, and efficient she was. We honestly think a DJ can make or break a wedding and she exceeded our expectations! We all had so much fun with the music she played and she is by far the best DJ I’ve ever heard!

  kept the dance floor lit!

  DJ Paula Shrum is the best of the best! Organized planning from the beginning, very easy to work with, professional and had a great playlist of songs. Kept us all on the dance floor the whole time and we had an absolute blast!! Highly recommend!

  DJ Paula Shrum is the Absolute BEST!

  DJ Paula Shrum was amazing from initial contact through the wedding day! She was very responsive, flexible, and had GREAT recommendations for our reception. We had told her what times we wanted to fade out our first dance and parent dances, but we gave her a look and she took our cues perfectly! All we really wanted for our reception was to have one big dance party all night long. She delivered! Our dance floor was packed all night, and we had the best time dancing. All of our guests kept commenting about how good the DJ was (they've all been to weddings with bad ones). Some of our friends commented that our wedding was the best they had ever attended and a big part of that is because our DJ was so great. We couldn't have asked for a better day and are so grateful to have hired DJ Paula Shrum.

  Paula was amazing!!! She made the music aspect of planning a wedding so easy. We started off with a phone call to go over the basics. Then, closer to the wedding, I filled out a sheet that basically summarized the wedding that acted as a “blueprint” the day of. I was able to pick songs I for sure wanted played and told her songs I did not want played—and she honored both! I got so many compliments on the music and the atmosphere of the wedding. By the end of the night, when Paula announced the last song, the dance floor was still full so she played one more song. I highly recommend Paula for your DJ needs!!!

  Paula is seriously the best in the biz. She captured our personalities so well and delivered the exact right vibe for all stages of our wedding (ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing). People who I'd never seen out on the dance floor at a single event were out there all night!! She is seriously the best!! We would have a whole other wedding just to have a party like that again!

  Best DJ Around!

  If you want to have a fun reception, then book DJ Paula! Once the music started, no one sat down the rest of the night. She plays a mix of the old and new that everyone can sing along and dance to. Not only does she play great tunes, she is extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with. I’d recommend her to anyone for their wedding!

  The dance floor was never empty

  My son and new daughter in law had Paula DJ their wedding today. The music was spot on, the dance floor was packed and her handing the announcements and timing of the toasts was perfect. Easy to work with and fun to have her involved.

  Best Wedding DJ Ever!

  Paula was an absolutely amazing DJ for our wedding in November. She was so easy to work with, kind, flexible, and professional. She worked with us to make sure our playlist was exactly what we wanted for our big day! She kept the dance floor packed the entire reception! Everyone had a blast dancing the night away thanks for Paula! She even provided lights for the dance floor to make the celebration and dancing even more fun! We had so many guests compliment her and go on and on about how much fun our DJ was and how great the music was! We would recommend Paula over and over again!!!

  Paula was awesome and a perfect fit for our wedding. My guests are still talking about how much they loved the music. My wife and I were very particular about the playlist and Paula accommodated us without seeming the least bit annoyed, and was actually excited about our requests. All of the music flowed perfectly, everything worked, and there were no weird feedback noises ever. I've been to several weddings where the dj was weird and car salesman-like. I was nervous about being able to find a wedding dj that wasn't like that. Paula was anything but that. She was casual, pleasant, and played great music that flowed well. It was so nice to know that the music was something that we didn't have to worry about at all. Thanks again Paula!

  Paula Made Our Wedding Unforgettable

  Paula did such a great job with our wedding. Timed the processional music during the ceremony perfectly, and played great/appropriate music for the cocktail hour and beginning of the reception. Once it was time to start the dancing, Paula did an amazing job getting the crowd into it. Played most of the songs on our request list (I had a long one) and played a great mix of songs for a broad audience. A bunch of people told us it was one of the most fun weddings they’ve been to, and we definitely have Paula to thank for that.

  Paula was incredible! Picking songs was such a smooth and easy process and our friends are still talking about how much fun the reception was. She picked a great variety of current songs and party classics that kept everyone on the dance floor. Can’t imagine our day with anyone else!!

She was super flexible with our outdoor ceremony and reception and made me feel at ease (our ceremony was about 200 feet away from the reception tent and it was raining...She still figured out how to set up the speakers so you could hear them from the ceremony for our precessional music).   Paula was the DJ for our wedding at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Paula was wonderful! She had a great system and communication was fantastic. We were more than pleased without experience with Paula and would recommend her to anyone!

  Paula was amazing, she made sure everything ran smoothly. She was incredibly professional and flexible. She played great music and made sure our wedding went off without a hitch. :) I would definitely recommend Paula!!

  Paula has been a lifelong friend of ours, so we knew exactly who we could trust to DJ our wedding, but we had no clue just how amazing she actually is as a DJ!! During all the wedding planning, Paula made our lives easy and fun, and she was so organized with her Google doc specific to our wedding songs. Since I didn't have a wedding planner, I was freaking out about the actual day-of timeline, but Paula provided a timeline that she knows works well. In my eyes, the wedding reception was flawless, thanks to Paula keeping everyone on track and playing songs she knew my guests would love. Paula was so flexible and efficient that we actually finished dinner and speeches early, giving us an extra hour of dancing (the most important part of a wedding celebration). We had a large wedding with 200 guests, and everyone was dancing non-stop from 7:30 until 10:30! Couldn't have asked for a better DJ...not to mention Paula is hilarious! Thanks again for everything!
