Jessica Sent on 10/27/2016DJ TIC was alright. He played most of the songs on our "must play" list, and I love the online platform for planning. It was really helpful. He was great about staying in touch. He did mispronounce our names during the introduction, however, though our families tried to teach him how to say them beforehand. He also had the music a bit too loud for the space we were in, especially since more of our guests were interested in talking more than dancing (though dancing did happen frequently). Otherwise, he kept the timing going pretty well, and people had fun.DJ TIC DJ and UPLIGHT SERVICE's reply:
Dear Mrs. Björedahl,
I have been in business over 20 years, and I serve dozens of satisfied customers each month, I strive to create the best possible wedding ceremony and reception experience for each client. At this time, I would like to address your two concerns.
First of all, I would like to apologize for mispronouncing you and your husbands surname. I have been a English Teacher for 6 of my 15 years as a teacher, so I'm more than capable of correctly pronouncing surnames. However, it was challenging for me to pronounce a native Sweden surname that was taught to me by your family members 30 minutes before the wedding. Normally, I like to meet a hour or more with my clients the week of the wedding to cover all details such as correct name pronunciation etc. In this case, we never meet. We only talked on the phone for 20 minutes the day before wedding. I know that there are a million things going on during the week of the wedding, however, it's imperative for my clients to make time to meet and cover all major and minor details because when things go wrong during a wedding, it all falls on DJ.
Secondly, I would like to apologize for having the music a "Bit Loud", however, when you informed me it was too loud. I immediately turned the music down. It was challenging for me to determine how loud the speakers actually were with both front and back doors open to outdoor noise.
