    Wedding 10/10/20

Doc was great at our wedding! He was flexible and was just a pleasure to work with. The music was just perfect! We had a covid wedding so there was no dancing other than the first dance and bride and father and groom and mother and just a small gathering of people but you wouldn't have even known it was a covid wedding. The music was just perfect and people who felt comfortable danced anyway and it was just a perfect wedding. Thank you Doc! I highly recommend!

    Wedding 1/20/19

Doc was amazing start to finish. He was very professional and very responsive. I was very specific on certain veraions of songs and man was doc spot on! He was very good at making sure allnour requests were covered.

    Doc's Feel Good Music's reply:

It was a great wedding with a great group who were very easy to work with. I personally had a great time. They picked a wonderful mountain venue. The Silverthorne Pavillion was a great venue and the staff was extremely helpful and easy to work with.

Doc Lee was great. We started looking for a DJ at the last minute. He replied the same day I contacted him. We booked him right away, he was the best bang for the buck. He brought great music AND lights! He had us fill out a sheet with song we wanted and helped us make a schedule for the reception, thank goodness because we had no idea what we were doing lol. If/when we need a DJ we will be calling Doc again!

I would not book him again. We are from Oklahoma. We got married in Keystone, CO on top of a mountain. We met with him 6 months before our wedding. He gave us an information sheet to fill out and told us to make a playlist on Spotify and send it to him and he could download our music. (Which was done months before the wedding) He called me 3 days before our wedding and asked me for all the information I had already given him. The day of our wedding my husband and his groomsmen helped him load up all of his equipment up the mountain. He made the comment to one that he would never do this again because it was too much work. At the ceremony the speakers were backwards so the wedding party couldnt hear the music. The song I chose to play before i walked down the isle was not played. The correct song but wrong artists was played during my walk down the isle. During cocktail hour he tells us he doesnt have any of our music because there was no wifi. I asked him why didnt he download the playlist like he said he would and his response was "i thought i had" He told us we could choose a song on his laptop for our first dances. Luckily the venue was great and hoped into action and saved the reception. One nice thing he did was he stayed during the whole reception so we could still use his speakers and microphone.

    Doc's Feel Good Music's reply:

Unfortunately Tia has a lot of valid points. the event was a mess from the start. I could not find any of the staff to get any questions answered and they did not return my phone calls prior to the event. Luckily I had the over 100 foot of extension cords to get electricity to my equipment for the ceremony. Oh and the facility would not let me drive up the mountain to unload. so it was two gondola rides having to load and unload my equipment to get to where I needed to be. There was no cell reception a d no wifi. I did make the mistake of not making sure I had all the music downloaded.

The reception was a mess as they facility put me in a area that was walled off from the diners. to their credit, they did arrange for me to hook up to their in house internet connection after they had told me to leave. I offered to say and play the music I had access to tna let them use my mics. As I said it was not a good experience but I tried my best to make it right.

I feel very bad about they way this turned out. I learned several lessons from this job and I hope to heck these problems don't occur again. Plus I will not accept a job at the Keystone resort again because of the wedding staff and the pain in the butt logistics. I reception staff was exceptional tho.

    Stay Away!

Do not use this guy. I’ve been to many weddings and I’ve never seen a guy screw up a wedding like this guy did. Literally sat in a chair most of the time. No charisma, no energy. Sat there like he was having a bad time. Played wrong songs. Stopped songs in the middle of them to play other ones. Didn’t announce anything properly. Was an indoor/outdoor wedding. Think he’d set up a speaker inside? Na. Wasn’t until we requested that he put one inside so people could hear the toasts or announcements. I truly wanted to yell at him because I felt bad for the bride and groom whom had to keep correcting him. He mentions in this right up that he has “wireless mics” and “lapel mics” as part of his setup. I don’t know if that’s an upgrade thing but from what I saw. He had all antiquated equipment or he didn’t want to use his “good” stuff because I didn’t see any of that being used. Doc should be ashamed of himself and give the couple their money back. After that he should retire or stick to karaoke but not weddings. That’s for certain. Left him a review on wedding wire and his response was. “We all have bad days”. Are you kidding me? That’s what you are going with? It’s the biggest day of people’s lives. Typically something people do once and you have the audacity to say “we all have bad days”. I’m not in the wedding DJ business but I would suggest even if you’re having a “bad day” maybe fake it and get through what you got PAID to do. Was it a bad day when you cashed that check? Bad day. DO YOUR JOB. Unbelievable. People, stay away! Just look at the bad reviews and see how he responds. He can’t even write a legible paragraph.

Do not hire doc's feel good music for your wedding

DO NOT HIRE DOC’S FEEL GOOD MUSIC FOR YOUR WEDDING. I don’t even know where to begin with this review, that’s how bad of a DJ Bruce was.

I guess the only place to start is from the beginning. The first red flag which went unnoticed was the horribly outdated aol.com email which is also an unprofessional and misspelled email ‘lokn4anrs’. Not using his name or the business name stood out but I looked past it at the time.

The first red flag I picked up on was about 2 months before the wedding. My wife had indicated on the knot that he was our DJ. This must have alerted him because he reached out to her saying that dates were not secure until a deposit was paid. I had to then reach out to him confirming that we signed a contract and paid the deposit over 6 months prior.

A week before the wedding I submitted a work sheet he had provided with special songs for the evening, names of our party members. A few days later he asked me to resend it because “his computer ate it”. Mind you this was just a pdf attachment in an email and he was responding to the same email I had sent, so he could have just downloaded the attachment again if somehow his computer “ate” the previously downloaded copy. It took 4 attempts for him to finally be able to open the pdf.

In addition to filling out the form he provided. We also shared spotify playlists with him of ceremony music, dinner music, and dance music. I don’t know how much easier we could have made that for him. Prior to our ceremony he was not playing our playlist. His excuse was that he could not connect to the wifi. Excuse but that is why I made sure you had the playlists previously and you can download them to your computer. This was already an issue on another review that he claims to have learned from.

He played the wrong song while my wife walked down the aisle. He didn’t play the processional song we wanted. He announced us before the rest of the wedding party when doing introductions. He stumbled through reading the names of our wedding party pairs. I literally had to tell him each pair, since me and my wife were already done since he announced us first. He almost played the wrong song when I danced with my mom, good thing I was in front of him and corrected him.

When he had to deviate off of the playlist for any of these special songs he did not go back to the playlist and instead just kept on with the songs the spotify algorithm came up with based on the one song. When I brought this up to him he tried arguing with me that this was my playlist. Really? You’re telling me I don’t know what we put on our playlist, and you have the audacity to argue? I later. Watched as he managed to get signed out of spotify and sat there for 10 minutes attempting to log back into his AOL account with an incorrect password error that kept popping up.

Finally at the end of the night after getting paid the balance of what I owed him, he decided to just cut the night 45 minutes short. This was an absolutely awful DJ experience. Do not make the same mistake we did, stay away from Doc’s Feel Good Music.
