Highest possible recommendation. Michael and Brit were absolutely exceptional. They were nothing short of incredible. They are meticulous, cutting-edge, professional, timely, and always go above and beyond. Michael and Brit never settle. They are constantly thinking of new, creative ideas to film taking the stress of creativity out of the bride and groom. However, if you have anything that you want, they will bend over backwards to make it possible. My advice: contact Michael. If they are available for your date then schedule a meeting ASAP. As soon as you meet them, you will be sold. If you don't want to rely on my review or any other, fine. Spend 30 minutes with those two and you will be sold immediately. They make you feel like friends that truly care about you and your day. Because they do. I literally had guests commenting on how much they liked our photographers. Despite the fact my family was not paying attention, socializing, and being difficult during pictures, Michael and Brit did an outstanding job of keeping everyone ready without being rude or pushy. They were able to find that balance which is so difficult especially with people you do not know. They handled the situation incredibly professionally. Bottom line is photography is one of the most important parts about the wedding once it ends. It is one thing that will allow you to relive your day forever. Do not skimp out. If you hire Doerman Photography it will be the best decision you have ever made. They receive my absolute highest recommendation.Highest possible recommendation. I used Doerman Photography for both my engagement photos and wedding photos and I could not be more happy! Michael and Britanie were amazing to work with and made our wedding day even more enjoyable. When I received my wedding pics, I was blown away! They are so beautiful! Every single shot is fabulous and they truly captured the atmosphere of the day! Michael and his assistant Britanie were great to work with! They were very professional, made me and my wedding party feel at ease, and of course captured some great photos.
To me, one of the most important photos was the kiss. Michael's portfolio showed several kiss photos and that was a big impact on my husband and I choosing him. He fulfilled my expectations, even though our church didn't allow the photographers to move during the ceremony! Priceless photos!
I also really appreciate that he was willing to travel several hours to our wedding and he was available all day!
The turn around time was great as well. We had a second reception in another state three weeks later and Michael was able to get me a sampling of photos to show for that. The rest of the my pictures were available within two months!

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Doerman Photography. Michael was extremely responsive throughout our time working with him, which is something I really value in a wedding vendor. Plus, he and Britanie take AMAZING photos!! During our wedding, he opted to come at 9:00am to capture our whole experience until nearly 11:00pm.
It's extremely important to find a stellar engagement/wedding photographer, and Michael is one of the best in Nashville. Michael and Britanie are so, so, so GREAT. From the moment they showed up on the wedding day, they were fun to work with and extremely accommodating. I am a photographer, and finding my wedding photographer was the hardest decision I had to make during my wedding planning! Michael and Britanie were amazing!! They covered our entire day from getting ready to pumpkin bowling at the close of the reception. They made everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and managed to include almost everyone from the wedding in our photos. We had our pictures in record time!! We were truly amazed by the quality, quickness, and kindness of both Michael & Britanie. We will treasure our photos forever and will never forget everything that Michael & Britanie did for us on our wedding day!! Michael was highly recommended to us. Though he is based in Tennessee, he agreed to travel to the Chicago area to photograph our wedding, and he couldn't have been more accommodating about it. He quickly responded to all of our e-mails, he met with us in person while he was in town for the holidays, and when the wedding weekend approached, he accepted our offer to come up the day before with his assistant, Britanie, to partake in our family picnic festivities and scope out the site of our upcoming nuptials for good photo-op locations.
Michael and Britanie were on time (if not early!) the day of the wedding, and they stayed with us for more than 10 hours, until the very end of the reception. They were great sports about being pulled aside by people all night, asking them to take a photo. They even got into the spirit of the night and seemed to have fun!
We just got our photo disc in the mail, and not a single moment was missed - we couldn't be happier with the results. Michael's creativity shines in his photos. He has a true appreciation for simplicity, he always finds just the right angle, and he makes every element look gorgeous.

Choosing Doerman Wedding Photography for our wedding was the best choice we could have made! In fact it was the only vendor who did exactly what they were paid to do: take beautiful pictures of our special day! Our wedding was a wedding of vender mishaps: wrong color flowers ordered by the florist (which we did not find out about until the friday before the wedding - after three design consultations), rental companies renting us faulty equipment and ruining the reception etc. Doerman Wedding Photography saved the day and did not miss a beat- or a shot- amidst all the chaos.
Not only were we impressed with the accommodating and enthusiastic nature of Doerman Photography, but the caring attitude of the company as well. It was evident that both photographer's really cared about us as people; they cared about taking pictures of our special moments that we would love. In a market full of fancy equipment, overly- edited images and enormous price tags we wanted genuine images (of people we could recognize as ourselves ha) that were shot with skill, creativity and passion.

Michael and his assistant were an amazing team. He has an amazing talent for capturing special moments on his camera. He was so laid back and made us relax on our special day. I only wish he did shoots other than weddings as we're expecting our first child and I wish he could be the one to capture images of our new addition! If you are lucky enough to be able to book Michael for your wedding, you will be amazed at the results.Michael and his assistant were an amazing team. Working with Michael was one of the best things about our wedding day! My husband and I got married on a Friday evening, and on the Tuesday before our wedding (yes, just 2.5 days before) our photographer cancelled due to injury! She reccommended Michael, and this was the happiest accident I have ever had.
Michael had never met me or my husband, had never been to our venue, and knew absolutely nothing about the details of our wedding. He agreed to help us out, and was the biggest rock star. He went and spent all day Friday with our wedding coordinator and learning the venue and plotting shots. By the time I got to the venue, he was ready to go with great shots in mind. He made a lot of great suggestions for shots, but also was flexible letting us come up with our own shots and do things we wanted to do as well. He was completely professional and fun to work with.
After the wedding when I had questions and wanted some of our pictures cropped professionally and changed a bit, he was quick to respong and help out! Everyone that sees our pictures just loves them! Michael was there for every part of my wedding day. He met me at the hair salon and was with me from that moment until we left the reception that night. He brought along a second photographer that followed the guys around while he stayed with me and the girls. They did an amazing job at capturing every part of the day and I couldn't have asked for anything more. He was great to work with and I'm so happy we found him to be our photographer :)Michael was there for every part of my wedding day. Michael Doerman is an amazing photographer! My big complaint is that on the day of our wedding, they arrived over an hour late. As a result, I have two less-than-stellar iPhone pictures of me getting my hair & makeup done. Bummer. I am sorry you felt let down.
We arrived a bit late and did discuss this with you when we arrived - the address for your getting-ready location did not pull in correctly on GPS. We were to arrive at 10:00 (2 hours before the contracted time) and our first photograph was taken at 10:12:43. Yes, we were late, but we were 13 minutes late, not an hour late. We were in constant contact with the planner about our location and assumed she was doing her job with updating you? I was told by S in an email you were scheduled to be completed with hair/makeup at 11am, but you were completed prior to us getting there (approximately 1 hour earlier than scheduled). We were definitely bummed about not getting these photos as well, as they would have rounded-out an otherwise amazing wedding day.
