    Best Decision to work with Karen!

    I already started planning for our wedding when I hired Dolce Amica so I went with partial wedding planning. Karen was wonderful to work with. We started talking right away once I sent in my deposit. I lived in Canada and my husband was in New York so we were planning a wedding in Canandaigua, NY. Karen was SO helpful in recommending the best vendors and coordinating with them. There were a lot of little things that I never thought of that Karen brought up. She also made me less anxious overall with the planning and was so supportive leading up to the wedding. Our wedding day was honestly so amazing and so stress-free all thanks to Karen and her team. She made sure everything went smoothly and I am so thankful for her! I highly recommend Dolce Amica Planning!!

    Karen goes above and beyond

    I had an incredibly positive experience working with Karen Hite of Dolce Amica event planning. She started working with me as soon as the deposit was submitted with my venue. Karen was thoughtful from the start. I was not quite sure what her role was going to be besides the day of coordinator that the venue hired her for as part of my package. As I reflect on the past year of wedding planning, I realize that she went above and beyond for us. Karen is very personable. She was consistent with emailing me for updates. When it was time to look at rentals, she met my aunt and I at Nolan’s rental and walked us through the process. It was clear she had worked with that company in the past and had developed a working relationship with them. The process was very streamlined, and she sent the Nolan’s quote to us fast. When changes needed to be made, she went ahead and contacted them to adjust the rentals. We did not have to do any of that which was a relief to me. Karen invited my aunt and I to her house to continue getting to know each other and talking about my wedding vision. She made me feel comfortable and confident that my wedding ideas would become a reality.

    Another thing that was helpful to us was that she connected us with Christopher’s catering which was one of the preferred caterers that the venue recommended. She set up meetings for us and Paul to discuss food and bar. Again, she emailed me the quote for catering and helped adjust as needed. She acted as a good resource between I and the vendors that I was working with. On several occasions she held zoom meetings to work out any kinks and answer any questions we had. Then the unexpected happened. Covid 19 hit and our world was turned upside down. I fell into a deep depression thinking that my dream wedding was over. There were several weeks where I could not even fathom thinking about wedding planning. I was just too nervous to be heartbroken. Karen gave me the space I needed to brainstorm a plan with my now husband and family. Once I was ready to talk again, she reassured me that she would not be dropping me as a client but would continue to work with me no matter what happened. We talked on the phone about a plan B when I was on the verge of tears. She helped calm my nerves.

    Karen stayed up to date on all the rapid changes of the wedding industry including restrictions being made by the governor. There was so much confusion and this feeling of guilt that I had as a bride who wanted to continue forward with my vision but still stay safe. Some people judged me for difficult choices that needed to be made. I was reminded that nobody planned for this and we were put in a unique situation. We held out hope for a long time that my venue was going to allow it and Covid would end. Then, in August (2 months out from the wedding) we were informed that the wedding would have to drop down to 50 people. This was crushing and Joe and I at this point had decided we were not going to wait another year to get married. We also did not want to cut back our guest list by that much so close to the day. We decided to email and try to cancel our venue. Unfortunately, our deposit was not going to be granted back to us so then we decided to move forward with 50 people because we could not afford to lose the money already put down. This period was an absolute whirlwind. Not only were close family and friends of mine starting to reach out wondering what was going to happen, but there was a sudden death in my family (not covid related) and I was ready to give up. Karen helped keep my spirits up when I started to feel like my wedding was meaningless in a world that was grieving.

    Karen and the venue helped come up with a plan to do 50 people on Saturday night and then a different group of 50 for a “brunch with the newlyweds” on Sunday morning, since we had the whole weekend to celebrate and could stay socially distant. We decided to jump on this plan, so I quickly ordered more invites for the Sunday brunch. THEN, about a week later the plan changed back to the original plan but with 50% capacity. I was so tired of the back and forth but also happy. I was upset for spending extra money but now that things were back to normal there was a lot to get working on! Karen contacted me every step of the way. She was a godsend. Before wedding weekend, her and I already had the timeline in order. She knew when all my vendors were showing up, all the personal items I was bringing and my table layout. I had no doubt the day was going to be perfect. It was a literal miracle that we were able to pull this off together with all the hurdles we had to jump through.

    Mine and Joe’s wedding day was a dream!! Karen organized the rehearsal, and then on the day of she worked so closely behind the scenes that I barely knew she was there. I heard from everyone else that whenever they noticed her, she was working hard on something. Karen delivered on all my requests which included bringing some of my personal items into the venue that were set up at the ceremony site. As the bride, I walked around my venue in complete Awe of how it turned out. The food was great, and they cleaned everything up for us as well. Masks and sanitizer were provided along with a safely distanced layout. I cannot thank Karen Hite enough for the time and energy she spent with us in wedding coordination while also living through the largest health crisis in history. I highly recommend her to other couples!!

    Planning at its finest!

    The LeChase team is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Karen Hite, Dolce Amica, in the planning of our 75th Anniversary. Karen came in with an open mind and positive attitude, in an effort to make our celebration the way we envisioned it. We came to the table with vendors we wanted to use and she suggested her preferred vendors, together the mix of the two made for an epic event! Karen took care of coordinating vendor meetings and making sure everything was in order. She was a responsive and kept us up to date every step of the way. Karen was also on hand the day of our event, making sure everything was running smoothly. The event was extremely organized and all the details were well coordinated.
    We've had so many compliments on how much fun and creative our event was!
    Dolce Amica comes highly recommended from us. We hope to engage with her in the future.

    Excellent Experience handing a Large Party

    Dolce Amica managed a large 500+ person corporate party for use with over 10 different vendors. The event was a big success and the event ran without issue, very professional.

    Wedding Planner Extrordanaire!

    The was THE best decision to hire Karen Hite from Dolce Amica. Without her expertise, connections and attention to detail, we would not have been able to pull this wedding off. I highly recommend her and have just retained her for next year for my son's wedding.

    Pandemic Wedding

    We hired Karen and her team to plan our wedding - she was flawless, but then came Covid19 into the picture, still flawless. Then our venue decided to not disclose their new rules and nine days before our wedding everything blew up. Within 18 hours Karen had a new venue with a chef to reenact our menu from the previous venue as our guests had already responded with their meals. 18 Hours!!! All of our vendors were able to be notified and we kept our same date. I truly do not know what I would have done with our expertise. She not only brings her talent, but all of her connections - We had the most perfect day!!!

    Couldn't have said "I Do" Without You!

    There is no way I could have made it through the wedding planning experience without Karen! From the moment we began working together until the end of my wedding day, she was right by my side. Her connections in the industry are incredible and she has a solution for any possible hiccup that could come your way. She goes over the top to make you feel important and taken care of. Her eye for styling is incredible and she knows just what a space needs to elevate the entire wedding experience. I knew I could trust her completely and was in good hands. Most importantly, she allowed me (and even my mom) to enjoy the wedding process and have the most stress free wedding day (even in midst of a pandemic). I highly recommend having her for any big event in your life! I can't wait to see the magic she creates for my brother's wedding next year!

    Thank you for everything. I can't remember if I told you, but I was a wedding photographer for around 15-years (Jim, our photographer, used to work with me). Of all the weddings I have photographed or attended, this was by the far the most smooth. Lisa and I had a great time and it was exactly what we wanted. Planning an East Coast wedding while living on the West Coast is tough, but you made it hassle free!

    Perfect Wedding

    We hired the team.at Dolce Amucs and they took care of each and every detail you can imagine. We had one od the hottest days and Karen made sure.bottled water was iced and waiting for us after the ceremony. We would have all melted. We never had to ask for anything. Karen and Rachel were there for all of our needs. Hire a planner. And hire Dolce Amica!!!!

    We could not have fulfilled our dreams without the Dolce Amica Team!!! They were amazing and made everything run so smoothly through the entire day! I was not sure if I even needed an event planner, but once we met Karen, we knew we had to hire her and her team!! Our wedding was absolutely perfect! If I could give a thousand stars I would!!!

    With our daughter living in California and our family in downstate New York, we knew our desire to hold a vineyard wedding in the Finger Lakes required the full services of an experienced and knowledgeable event planner. Karen's recommendations and strong relationships with top-tier vendors were instrumental in making this vision a reality. When inclement weather forced changes to the ceremony site at the last moment, Karen was unflappable, coordinating a solution that worked beautifully. The wedding day events flowed seamlessly, with the Dolce Amica team working behind the scenes to ensure all details were executed without a hitch. We received many compliments from our guests about the relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, beautiful florals, table designs, service and unique details. Karen's priority throughout the planning process was a focus on creating the wedding our daughter and fiancé envisioned.     We hired Karen Hite (Dolce Amica) as our day of wedding cooridinator and we could not be happier with her service! Each time we met with her prior to the wedding she was organized and confident. Karen's patience helped both my daughter (the bride) and myself stay calm during the planning process. Karen worked closely with the bride and groom - she was efficient and always returned phone calls and e-mails quickly. She was an angel in disguise when some of our plans needed to be changed on the day of the wedding due to rain!! She was at our wedding site at 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., when her assistant took over, but then checked in at midnight to make sure all was going well at the after party which she helped with. No wedding should be without Karen Hite and Dolce Amica!!!!

    Coming from Colorado we needed to find an event planner who would know exactly what our vision was and who would be able to communicate from afar. We landed on Karen from Dolce Amica. She not only had the entire day coordinated she also went and did our tasting for us. She chose the the food for our reception and it was all outstanding. It took a lot of trust to have someone take that responsibility. She was beyond professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of coordinating a wedding. We cannot thank Karen enough for helping make our daughter's wedding the most special day for all of us.

    When we looked into hiring a wedding planner my bride and I wanted the best and Karen at Dolce Amica Event Planning is the best. She stands behind everyone and everything she suggests. To her this isn’t just a paycheck it is something she loves and is passionate about and it shows.

    Wedding planning can be incredible stressful and Karen made the planning and the day feel as stress free as possible.

    We hired Karen to do our day of coordination. Our venue was a restaurant space which she transformed I to a gorgeous wedding venue. Karen made sure all vendors were on point and that the day ran completely with no snags.     It is one thing for someone to be an Event Planner, but it is another thing for someone to also become your confidant and negotiator. That is exactly what Karen did for us. She helped my bride and I plan our wedding on a budget and still make our dreams come true with gorgeous décor and attention to detail. We cannot thank her enough. For anyone who is planning a wedding and has a strict budget....GO TO KAREN!!! She works with you and truly cares about your wants and needs! She took the stress out of all the planning for us and our family!!!

    WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I cannot say enough good things about Karen. We hired Karen as our day-of-wedding coordinator/planner since we were hosting the ceremony and cocktail hour at my in-laws home. Karen was beyond helpful and there is no way we would have been able to pull off this event without her and her staff. We met and spoke with Karen on numerous occasions so that she could organize and prepare for the perfect day. However, she went above and beyond and even ended up being somewhat of a personal advocate for us when we had issues with our reception venue. When you hire Karen you get way more than you ever expected.
    Karen arrived the day before the wedding to set up and to help us run through the rehearsal. The day of she was at the house hours early to finish setting up and preparing herself for the day. Her staff arrived and then they all got straight to work, too. Unfortunately, right after the ceremony we had a major downpour of rain and although Karen had set up a beautiful spread of food and drinks, all our guests were stuck in the tent. That didn't stop Karen and her crew. Karen immediately filled trays with food and drinks and the staff started personally serving the guests in the tent. By the end of the hour her poor staff were soaked through and through but every single one of them still had a smile on their face. They were so professional and polite. After the cocktail party ended we all left and went to the reception but when we returned home that evening the place was spotless. Again, I cannot say enough good things about Karen and Dolce Amica, all I can say is when you hire her you will understand why I can say with 100% confidence that you will not be disappointed. AMAZING!!!

    Karen was an amazing event planner. She took our ideas and turned them into the amazing reality that was our wedding day. She guided us through the whole process keeping the budget that we gave her in mind. The connections she has saved us thousands of dollars. My wife and I would use Karen again in a heartbeat to plan any future events we might have!
