Amazing Experience
Lea is the wedding planner everyone needs. I’ve never been to Jamaica before my wedding. My planner Lea took every effort to make sure I was comfortable with every detail before I arrived 2 days before my wedding date. She delivered everything we discussed and more. From making sure we got to our hotel, making stunning flowers and suggesting the best vendors for our wedding we could not be happier with our experience.

Thank Dolce Decor for making our dream wedding a reality!
My husband and I have been over the moon since our wedding day. From our first consultation, Lea was invested in me and the vision I had for our wedding. My partner and I had never been to Jamaica. We did not go to Jamaica until the day before our wedding! So everything was selected sight unseen. This is where the dependability of Lea and her team shined. Her descriptions were accurate and her contract management was on point. Lea was attentive, professional, empathetic, kind, and a true go-getter. Plus, she also had the respect of the other vendors I worked with. I can not express my gratitude enough! Thank you Dolce Decor for being our wedding planner, day of coordinator, and florist!!!

An Amazing Blessing!
Social media was a huge help in finding a wedding planner. Honestly brides-to-be you should meet with your wedding planner prior to making a decision on a planner. Just having a conversation to make sure the vibe it right is important because they will be a huge support for you for the months leading up to the wedding not only the day of! Lea was my event day coordinator but the role she played could not be put under that one umbrella. She was involved in EVERY aspect of the planning for my wedding. Her attention to detail and genuine responsiveness never went un-noticed .
I was extremely lucky to have the wedding planners I had and I know it was destined because finding a wedding planner was not an easy task; between availability dates and vendor restrictions ! My wedding planners were honestly a gift from God! They will forever have a piece of Kamar and I’s heart and now they are apart of our village. A three thread cord not easily broken! We had so many special moments. So many ways God reminded us He was in our mist from start to finish and it all started with my wedding planners! When Kamar and I plan our 10 year anniversary celebration we already have our coordinator; hopefully the date is available! Lol.Dolce Decor Weddings, Florals and Events's reply:

They were very helpful with their recommendations of floral arrangements and decor. I wanted real flowers, which I got, but I had no idea how I wanted the bouquet to look, they took the lead in that and I was pleased.

Excellent and detailed work done by Dolce Decor Wedding. The CEO, Ms Lea Barrett invested time and care to decorate the bride’s dream wedding. This made the bride stress free on her beautiful wedding day. I will highly recommend DDW all year round!!!!!

Helpful and Capable
I found Lea to be very helpful and capable in fulfilling her duties. She was always present to help . Our wedding was well coordinated and beautiful, just what I wanted. -

Of all my vendors, the only one that I truly had a bad experience with—enough so to write a negative review was Lea.
Aside from the fact that I had a very specific and detailed moodboard and was told by Lea that things would be as pictured, they weren’t. For example, my 1238 USD arch as pictured vs as delivered is attached. Can’t deliver the look on the budget? Fine, say that and go, find a different solution but don’t say you can and then deliver nonsense. Also my flowers… I had asked for some gold colors in part of my color palette but instead Lea put bright orange flowers in my bouquet when nothing else in my wedding, or other flower arrangements was orange.
These were all issues that I just accepted as “weddings are never perfect” but I have to draw the line at Lea’s lack of transparency and dishonesty when it came to pricing. My original quote for a wedding of 60 people and 10 person bridal party (so bridal party flowers etc) was under a little under 8,000 USD. My final quote for my wedding of 50 people and no bridal party was 8,500 USD…? When I looked closer at the invoice nothing had changed (no inflation) except that now there were undiscussed 'specialty flowers' added throughout... Again, I said fine again, because these vendors like to play on the psychology of it all and I said am I going to fight for 500$ out of 8.000$? The answer is yes, I should have but I didn’t. Now the wedding has since passed and I was waiting to get my security deposit back. Not all of it because I was aware that 2 candle cylinders were broken at the reception but immagine my shock when I found out my entire deposit was gone because the two 10USD cylinders cost over 100USD to replace. It was also claimed that 3 tablecloths were damaged by candle wax (?????) and wine stain, both easily removable, but I was charged 45USD to replace them (never saw the damage you know, because she took the linens with her🙃) and to top it off 269$ worth of shipping and customs because I guess you can’t find glass vase and white table cloth in Jamaica… I had even asked for cream and they were even white but hey💀no proof, no receipts, just vibes. Again, in the grand scheme of a wedding which is already a huge money grab, does it feel ridiculous to lose time and energy over 500$, yes. But we wouldn’t be here if people were honest and if despite over charging me, Lea delivered what she said she would.Dolce Decor Weddings, Florals and Events's reply:
