  September 2020 Bride

  I can't wait until my big day! This is the best venue in the state of TEXAS! The owner Mrs. Barbara is so kind and sweet and I'm looking forward to working with her.

  Fantastic Venue and People!

  Barbara is just amazing! She has been fair, kind, and understanding through all of the covid fiasco and the planning process. Her venue is absolutely gorgeous! With beautiful scenery to set the mood for any type of ceremony! I’m all about deals... where can I find the best deal... and I set out to my wedding planning with the same mindset. You will not find a better deal than her venue! And it’s not just the venue you’re getting...it’s her. I don’t feel like I’m “working with a business”- I feel like I’m talking to a friend. She has made this whole process pleasant and I look forward to chatting with her because she is such a warm person. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home away from home with down to earth people, this is your venue! You will love working with her! Oh...and there are horses. It doesn’t get any better! The venue offers cabins for a weekend stay with friends and family. It turned our wedding into a weekend getaway full of memories and experiences, which is exactly what we wanted.

  Beautiful venue, Very helpful owners

  Barbara has been the best since we met her at the bridal show. She is super sweet and responsive. The venue is gorgeous AND the cheapest venue we were able to find, not to mention we had the place for the whole weekend. Barbara helped us set up for the wedding for no extra charge as well as borrow decorations and stuff. It doesn't really need any decorating, but some of the few decorations people use they leave for Barbara to allow other weddings to use them as well. Our wedding turned out more beautiful than I would have ever expected. They have raised their prices since we booked them, but it is still the cheapest thing I have seen and WELL worth the amount they are asking.

  Gorgeous venue, sweet hosts

  The Double Bar B is an absolutely beautiful venue! It's more than a wedding venue. It's acres and acres of STUNNING natural beauty, with 3 cabins that can fit your family and/or wedding party. Our entire wedding party and significant others (21 of us) stayed on site. It was more than just a wedding, it was like a camp-out wedding weekend that we all enjoyed so much! Barbara and Paul are the sweetest and most hospitable hosts. Barbara let us come out and see the property as many times as we liked to get a feel for everything and plan for our big day. She was so easy to communicate with, and quick to respond to all of our questions. Also very flexible. She did everything to prepare the space for us. Paul helped us move the patio heaters back and forth so we could use them both nights- by the big cabin for the rehearsal dinner, and at the reception area. There are also two giant fire pits- one by the big cabin, and one by the reception hall. We had the most perfect outdoor Fall wedding on 10/26/19. There is also a beautiful lake with the ceremony island, and some great hiking trails. This place is gorgeous! In the middle of nowhere in the woods. So peaceful! You could see the stars and hear the coyotes. Thank you for everything Barbara and Paul! We really enjoyed our stay :-)
