    LOVED our Indoor/Outdoor Wedding reception!

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding reception at Double Creek Crossing! It was everything we could have dreamed for -- great location in close proximity to College Station, a beautiful and unique combination of an outdoor/indoor venue, and an incredible experience with Leah the Venue Owner. Leah was so kind and hospitable and truly helped bring our vision to life from helping me with the floor plan to where to hang up decorations, she really helped make all that I dreamed of for my wedding reception possible! We were initially hoping for an entirely outdoor reception but with weather being unpredictable, we decided to look at other indoor options. I was SO overjoyed when we found DCC because it was the best of both worlds -- entirely covered and sheltered from any possible bad weather while also having unique window whiles that can open up almost entirely to allow for a beautiful breeze and outdoor feel! We were so happy with how everything turned out and could not recommend Double Creek Crossing enough! Leah was a delight to work with and we will cherish this beautiful day for the rest of our lives

    Amazing Venue and Owner

I got married on March 12th, 2022 at Double Creek Crossing! Leah (the owner) worked with us so that we could come out several times to view the venue due to my mother getting covid and not being able to go the first time! Leah made the process super easy, when tensions were high. Although we had a lot of issues with the wedding including the day of Double Creek was never one those issues. We reserved the venue for the day before and the day of and it was amazing. We were able to meet with Leah before the event to configure the layout and everything was perfectly placed when we arrived. On the day of the event I had a couple of questions and I was able to text her and get a speedy response. Choosing Double Creek Crossing as my venue was the easiest decision in the wedding process and if I had to do it all over again I would choose Double Creek again!!

Leah and Double Creek Crossing were just AMAZING

It was pretty much love at first sight when we visited Double Creek Crossing for the first time. This venue is gorgeous, not to mention VERY reasonably priced! We loved the ceremony area, but the reception area was what really sold it to us. Being that it is outside but covered and partially enclosed, you felt like you were outside, yet still protected from any inclement weather. My then-fiance and I just knew as we drove away that this venue was the one. Leah (the owner) was an absolute joy to work with. She is so kind and laid-back and was always very responsive when we had questions. She was incredibly understanding when we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID shutdowns, and she did everything she could to make the change in dates as painless as possible. For our wedding ceremony (and then our sweetheart table!) we used her "wedding ring" and it turned out SO beautiful. She was also there on our wedding day to see if anything was needed. Leah and Double Creek Crossing were amazing and we highly recommend them!!!

    Amazing Venue

I seriously cannot rave enough about this venue! We had our ceremony under the GORGEOUS arch and our reception on the patio, and both sites were absolutely perfect. It poured during our reception, and the siding on the patio was able to keep all my guests dry while not holding in humidity. If I got one compliment about our venue choice, I must have gotten a hundred. It was so, so beautiful - both during the ceremony and after dark! And the owner, Leah, could not be sweeter or more accommodating. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone!

Double Creek Crossing is a gorgeous venue. We wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception to be held all int he same venue, and outdoors. They have it all. The ceremony area is outdoors, in a beautiful garden. Cocktail hour and reception area are just a few steps away. The reception area is a big covered porch, so you get the best of both words, that feeling of being outdoors, but protected from whatever Texas weather you may get at your wedding day :) And what can I say about Leah, the owner? She is the sweetest person! Very accommodating. She'll make sure your day goes by perfectly. Beautiful venue! Just 20 min from College Station/Bryan.

Double Creek Crossing was an amazing outdoor venue. Everything about this venue is carefully thoughout to make the perfect wedding. The ceremony is held under huge beautiful oak trees for amazing pictures, and the reception is under a covered pavilion area just a few steps away. There is also a small building connected to the pavilion for the bridal/groom suites and a hall for the cake, gifts, buffett. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful, and we are so happy we chose this venue. Even in June in Texas, the fans help keep the heat out, and Leah is able to drop down the sides in case of rain.

    Less than stellar

The owner did not or would not provide the wedding couple what they paid for. No air conditioning, guests left early due to the extreme heat. Wedding couple was advised they would have venue till 11pm the day of the ceremony. That never happened. Owner came in at 9:30pm and told everyone to shut it down and clean up. So much heartache for the wedding couple. Imagine having to shut down a wedding you paid for and having to clean it up too on your wedding day. So much money was lost because food and drink purchased was not used. Oh and did I mention the owner called the police because several people complained to her and made her cry. So while the party was just beginning, guests and wedding party had to scurry to get the venue clean.
While the venue is beautiful but the kitchen is too small and disorganized to prepare food. Refrigerator and freezer was too small as well.
Lost money, sweltering heat, owner not accommodating and keeping the bridal contract and calling police for no reason is reason enough to think twice before using this venue.

    So unprofessional!

There is no doubt that the place is beautiful. When you visit to book, you will find a spacious enclosed reception area that is rustic and romantic. You will be happy to see exposed duct work and thermostats (and assume your special day will be nice and cool). But when you arrive, it'll be a scorching 98 steamy degrees...INSIDE... You will then be informed "there is no a/c" and you need to "open all of the windows (without screens)"...in TEXAS?? After fighting a wasp nest, a scorpion, moths, flies and lizards, it became a HUGE problem. If you rent the place for your event, expect the doors to be locked at 9pm so you can't receive deliveries or resume decorating until the next morning, which was our "day of". We were unaware. Our send off for the newlyweds was to be at 11pm, but the owner arrived at 9:30pm and told us to start shutting down. She previously told the bride and groom that they could clean up and pick up vendor rentals the morning after if nothing was booked. However, she did not communicate any other bookings until sneaking in and demanding the space back 3 1/2 hours before the end of the reception. She left the bride in tears, and the groom scrambling to get GUESTS to do breakdown and clean up! Then proceeds to cry, herself after being told how unprofessional she was and that she had ruined the bride's special day. She then told the photographer that she called the police , while telling her to email her a copy of ALL of the bride's photographs for her own promotion. That's BIG NO! Not after making her cry on her wedding day! WHY call the police??? There were no threats, no arguments, no one acting out. We simply tended to the bride and did our best to accommodate her demands. Wedding events can be stressful. You don't expect this kind of hassle and stress after paying $6000 for the venue only. To be honest, there were some things that didn't end up getting cleaned up, as we ran out of time before the doors were locked that night. Like I said, the space is beautiful, but the owner has poor communication skills, sneaks around the event, causes a scene, makes threats, pisses off guests, then cries. So unprofessional. She needs to hire an assistant, take lessons in effective communication, or find another hobby.
