So I hosted my wedding block here. I spoke through email and on the phone with...someone, I really don't remember his name, however he was patient with me and set everything up. I requested 2 rooms that were the oversized king rooms. My family had 0 problem setting anything up. They all checked in early though which put them at different floors than me which was a bummer but not a deal breaker. Valet was always on point and responsive. They were truly awesome. Front desk, upon my check-in the girl kind of did not explain slow enough to me that the charge was the total price plus the downpayment of $50 a night, I figured it was just the $50 a night going onto my card, because she said i could change it to another card later. This I think was miscommunication on both of our parts because I was in a rush to check-in. Either way, it was fixed. but she kept asking me which room I wanted, but when booking the hotel block I specifically NEEDED the oversize king, and needed fresh bedding and no feather pillows so I did not understand that part of it. It was really confusing and unnecessary. So I went upstairs to my room and the door wouldn't open, completely dead. I go back downstairs and let the man know and he walked up with me just incase it was me, and not the door. Maintenance was called and we waited for a bit. They came with a attitude asking about the other door (apparently i had 2 doors). So I walked around opening all the doors to see what they were and accidentally locked the working door. As I left, the maintenance worker HAD to tell me "um, you know you locked the only working door? why did you do that?" Seriously?! I'm late for my rehearsal dinner and you're going to scold me like a child? I did not like that at all. The bar tender wasn't as pleasant either. But my family was VERY excited to be there but kept making jokes about how tiny the chicken wings were (they were comically small for the price) so, maybe she overheard and took offense. I'm unsure. However, the day and morning of my wedding was amazing. Went to the little Starbucks area and the girl was SO nice. Told me I needed to eat something for the big day, talked to me about it and everything. Seriously, so sweet. Then all my vendors parked with no problems, and got room keys so I did not have to escort them up and down the elevator. THAT truly was amazing. When we got back from our wedding the desk staff clapped for us. It was honestly so special to me and that touch was nice. THEN in our room was a champagne bottle with 2 glasses and a card signed by staff. 10/10. That was exactly why we picked this hotel, luxury, being treated kindly.

My view was gorgeous. The bed was clean and comfortable, the shower was nice and hot with amazing water pressure. The furniture was new and nice looking. Just so so worth the money. I just stayed at another hotel for our small honeymoon before our big one and it was TERRIBLE. This proves the only place I will stay from now on especially for our real honeymoon next year will be doubletree hotels. Thank you so much for everything and providing a top of the line experience for us.

The Doubletree Downtown Orlando was our host hotel for all of our out of town guests for a full wedding weekend, Friday-Sunday. The location & price value were perfect for us. The staff was flexible, responsive & accommodating to our needs. We had a recovery brunch there the morning after the reception.

The DoubleTree has the whole package! The rooms for my guests were nice and clean, check in was a breeze, and the market saved the day for me multiple times! My suite for my wedding had just enough space for me and my bridesmaids to get ready, and the view of downtown was awesome from the pool deck!

If you're looking for a stunning ballroom, for my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, the ballroom was truly gorgeous. We loved the light fixtures and the decor that was already in the room helped making decorating that much easier.

The food from the in house catering team was amazing too! The steak and chicken dinners came out beautifully cooked and seasoned and all the drinks served really helped round out the night! My compliments to the Chef!

If I had to put one specific deciding factor on this whole venue, the best part was Kelsey, our coordinator. Seriously hands down the most wonderful person to work with for all your wedding needs. She helped out in any way possible to make our wedding successful, and my husband and I are eternally grateful! I've never worked with someone who was so thoughtful and honest and professional. Thank you Kelsey!

I would highly recommend the DoubleTree (& Kelsey) to everyone. From the first time we met Kelsey, we knew we would have our event at the Doubletree. She was so welcoming, quick to respond to any and all questions we had, even coming up with ideas we ended up using for our wedding. The whole event was beautiful, we had no issues with the Doubletree at all.

Kelsey was extemely helpful as the event planner. Coordinated with the Father of the Bride very well, was extremely responsive to questions, provided that personal touch needed during a wedding. The venue itself worked out very well in that we had all parts of the wedding in one place and that there was no need to set up for the next phase of the wedding.

Kelsey was absolutely amazing! She walked with us from beginning to end and was very flexible to meet our needs. We were beyond pleased with everything for our wedding reception.

We chose this hotel for our wedding party and family to stay as well as to have an afterparty since our wedding was scheduled to end early. On our first visit the staff was extremely accommodating and were happy to answer all of our questions. Kelsey Balmer was our point of contact for our room rental for the afterparty and she went above and beyond the call of duty. She answered emails almost immediately and was extremely helpful. There were multiple events going on in the hotel during our wedding weekend which caused the hotel to be fully booked yet the staff handled our requests flawlessly. Highly recommend this hotel for any events. You will not be disappointed.

I had my wedding at the Doubletree by Hilton Downtown Orlando and it was better then I could have ever imagined! Kelsey went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and was always there for any question or concern I had. The employees who helped set up, worked the event, front desk employees and anyone else who participated in helping my wedding were exceptional. I will recommend this location always and for any event, big or small.

The DoubleTree in Downtown Orlando was an amazing hotel! We chose the this hotel since it was very close to St. James and had a ballroom that could fit us. The newly renovated hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the chandeliers are especially what sold me for their ballroom! Kelsey was such a pleasure to work with, she was very responsive and on top of every little detail. We had a lot of out of town guests and the DoubleTree took great care of them! Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant to the catering staff was very pleasant to work with and I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding! On the day of our wedding Kelsey and her team did an amazing job and everything went smoothly. The food was great, the service was great, the entire experience was great! Thank you DoubleTree & Kelsey!

Very easy to book room blocks for our wedding weekend and a suite for the wedding parties.

We had our wedding at the Doubletree by Hilton Downtown on Jan 21, 2017. Initially I was not looking for my wedding venue to be at a hotel, but since we were getting married at St. James Cathedral I wanted a venue that was not too far from the church. After other locations we considered were booked on the dates we were considering, at my fiancée's request I decided to take a look at the Doubletree and I am thankful I did. It was amazing, Kelsey Balmer, the coordinator at the Doubletree was so easy to work with, she helped us find outside affordable vendors for other rentals and florist. She always responded to all my inquiries and for any request the answer was almost always "yes I'm sure we can do that". I did not have a wedding planner or day of coordinator so Kelsey went out of her way and set up my place cards and guestbook when I was not able to find someone to do it as everyone was going to be at the church at my ceremony. We had a plated dinner. The food was amazing, all the guest commented about how great the food was from the appetizers to the main entree. The servers were great as well as the bartender. We had a specialty cocktail drink created by the hotel's bartender and everyone loved it. I can not say enough good things about the staff and Kelsey. They say everything happens for a reason and had the other venues not been booked I don't think we would have ever had the wedding at the Doubletree Downtown Orlando but am so thankful that we did because it was such an amazing day and everything turned out beautifully.

The DoubleTree in Orlando at Lake Ivanhoe helped us host the wedding of our dreams. Clinton was amazing to work with and he was very responsive and flexible. He helped us keep our costs in check while providing us all the luxury. The staff was great during the event and the Chef was great. He even came up to us during the reception to make sure everything was satisfactory. They all helped us have the best night. Highly recommend this venue. All my guest were pleased as well.

We only used the Doubletree to reserve blocks of rooms for our wedding, but chose it for its close proximity to the venue. They were easy to communicate with, and no guests had issues booking rooms that I or my family heard of. All of our guests made use of and appreciated the shuttle to and from the venue. The only issue we had was when they happened to be overbooked the night before my wedding, and I got bumped. However, when they called, they already had made arrangements with a partner hotel for my night's stay, in a room that turned out to be slightly nicer than the one I had originally booked (bonus!) and everything worked out without any fuss.

The DoubleTree was very accommodating for my wedding that was held in April 2014. There was no issue blocking out rooms for out-of-state guests who were 90% of the attendees. There was no fixed number for the rooms to be blocked out, once 10 rooms were booked they blocked another 10 rooms.

They provided a shuttle at no extra cost to take friends and family to and from the venue, and back to the hotel. After the wedding the bar in the lobby was opened for normal hours and was a secondary congregation area.

The morning after we had planned a breakfast buffet in one of the ballrooms for friends and family to come together before leaving. The food was great and there were several different plans and options available. Everything from a basic fruit and coffee arrangement to normal catered breakfast stations.

Mr. Tom Edwards was fantastic when I worked with him! The DoubleTree's quality of service before our wedding was outstanding. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to have the actual wedding at this venue; however, I worked a lot with Tom prior to our wedding, and he was fantastic.... highly responsive and quality customer service. A pleasure to work with!

We chose this hotel for our wedding ceremony and reception based on the excellent rapport we built with Tom from day one. We felt very confident that he could deliver everything we needed for our Indian fusion wedding. Tom was very timely in responding to any questions or concerns we had, as were his staff. They made sure every guest felt at home and taken care of! On the wedding day, we had nothing to worry about as Tom and his staff worked with all of our vendors flawlessly to deliver a memorable wedding. Tom, we thank you and the team at the DoubleTree for a wonderful experience!

I had my wedding downtown and loved this venue for the reception. The food is amazing and the cooridinator, Becky, is hands down the best cooridinator! She made everything so easy and she is very flexible to work with! The Double Tree by Hilton in downtown Orlando makes sure that everything is as easy as possible for you!

We had our wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful and a ton of fun! Our guests were having so much fun after the reception ended they didn't want to go home so they went down to the bar and then walked to a local bar to continue the party. The staff at the hotel are wonderful, very attentive, reasonable, and the food was good.

Loading dock ramps are old and inoperable. Behind venue rollup door would be exceptional if it were not for the height restrictive makeup of the building.

Working with Kelsey specifically was very easy and always a pleasure! I mainly chose this venue becasue of all it included and the convenience of having all my events in one place. I loves the idea of no on having to drive. In the end, even with some changes in my original plans due to weather, it was a beautiful day!

Although we didn't get married at the DoubleTree, we used the them for our wedding block for our guests (roughly 27 rooms). We were impressed by the quality and cleanliness of the rooms and definitely happy with the bar, as many of our guests gathered there after our reception.

Our only issue was regarding our gift bags that we put together for our guests. We paid a $2 per bag fee to have them handed out by the front desk when our guests checked in, but noticed after our first guests arrived that they weren't being given out. We notified the front desk and they promised to hand deliver the bags to the rooms where guests were already checked in, and distribute the rest of the bags as our guests arrived. While they did deliver the bags to the rooms where guests were already checked in, they did not continue to hand out bags, which we only discovered after our wedding, when it was already too late to hand them out. The bags contained an itinerary inviting them to a farewell brunch the day after the wedding, and it's likely that some guests did not attend because they did not know it was happening. The staff ended up comping our room which was much appreciated, but we were disappointed that we paid extra for a service that we did not fully receive.

Overall, we were happy with the rooms but it would be hard for us to recommend the wedding block services that they offer, given our experience.

My only complaint regarding this venue is that they decided to change our catering manager in the middle of planning our wedding. We had one person during the entire beginning process and then 5 months or so into it, they changed our person and gave us a whole new catering manager. It was not because the person left but because he got a new role. I didn't understand why he wouldn't just finish the projects he was currently working on. We really liked our original catering manager and they didn't even ask us before they made the change. Also, as it seemed she had no experience with Indian weddings, it made the process much more difficult. I would advise confirming with this venue that you will have the same person all the way through as this change made things difficult (as if planning this event without a planner was not difficult enough!).

My final event manger was great to work with. However I went through 3 before him and a point where no one was there... "That’s the nature of the business" I was told. There were so many things promised that never came through that I cannot recommend this venue to anyone. We are 7th day and cannot eat any pork products. Although I specifically asked that none be in our food and also saw in BOLD PRINT - NO PORK PRODUCTS, there were trays of every pork cold cut you could find at my cocktail hour... And the event manager had the nerve to state, "they didn’t eat a lot, I wonder why". I didn't know until I saw the pictures. Parking was included into package, yet they charged guest $15 a car. They tried to charge us for our hotel rooms that were part of the package. SO many other issues were noted and they offered no form of compensation! Still trying to speak to a Hotel Manager.
