Excellent Venue to Work With
Sydni, who is the head of catering at this venue was the reason why we had the most, smooth beautiful wedding! She went out of her way, even adding her own details! Any question we had any thing we wanted to do- she made it happen! She was so kind and easy to work with. Not mention the day of event staff were also so amazing and kind!
Some unique things we did that stood out was that we were able to do our cocktail hour outside in the courtyard. It was set up beautifully, weather was unmatched and it accommodated our guests perfectly before going into the main ballroom. We also had personalized mocktails which was Sydnis idea! She made sure everything was elegantly done.
For a venue we have never been to everything was handled way smoother than weddings we've attended at other popular hotels around the city! A big perk was also the free parking and airport shuttle!
All in all I truly think when planning a wedding it starts with the director of catering and the staff day of and we couldn't have been happier. Great experience from a great venue!
Cyndi is great to work with and made it easy for us to plan our wedding! She has so much experience with fusion weddings that she did a phenomenal job of helping us think through details from her end! Would definitely recommend.

We walked though roughly 10 wedding venues in the south metro and the Minneapolis Marriott has the best options for an outdoor wedding which was important to us! Also the overall cost of the event and what you get for your money is second to none! We would highly recommend planning your event at the Minneapolis Marriott! Cindy was our wedding coordinator from the hotel. She worked with us from beginning to end to ensure that everything would take place and be perfectly coordinated to help my wife have the ability to relax as much as possible and concentrate on the things most important to us.
I recommend this venue for a number of reasons: the price was very reasonable, it was convenient since the majority of our guest where coming from out of town, great proximity to tourist attractions (we had a number of guests who had never been to MN) and Lat, but certainly not least, the entire staff was outstanding!Cindy was our wedding coordinator from the hotel. She worked with us from beginning to end to ensure that everything would take place and be perfectly coordinated to help my wife have the ability to relax as much as possible and concentrate on the things most important to us.

Wow! I cannot even begin to explain how amazing our wedding was at the Marriott!
We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there.
Cyndi (the event coordinator) was great to work with and received many compliments from not only me, but many guests as well! She had every detail perfect. It’s obvious that she has been doing this for a while and loves her job- always great to talk with, get ideas and insight from and help whenever needed. She thought of all the little things that most brides probably do not. There was never a request that she wasn't happy to assist with.
While most brides have something that went wrong or to complain about from their wedding day-I did not. I was walking around on cloud 9 for weeks because everything was so perfect and exactly what we had dreamed of.
The day of the wedding, we were set up in a conference room to get ready. We had hair and make-up stylist come in, so it was nice to have so much space to get ready, drink a mimosa and relax!
The night before, we had our rehearsal dinner at the hotel in the hospitality room. The dinner was small and private and the room was set up wonderfully. They had linen covered tables, centerpieces - it was more than I was expecting. Cindy (the caterer) and her staff served an amazing buffet. I am still craving the feast. The wedding dinner was just as delightful! I have some friends with allergies, I let the Marriott know ahead of time and they made special changes just for these guests. One friend said it is the first wedding he has ever been to that he was able to eat his whole plate.
The hotel staff was delightful! Everyone was so helpful and did every interaction with a smile. From guest check in to check out, I never heard one complaint - nor could I say one bad thing about my whole weekend.
Cyndi was there every step of the way, making sure that everything went just as planned. I would more than definitely recommend this hotel for weddings or any event!!Wow! I cannot even begin to explain how amazing our wedding was at the Marriott!

Cyndi Secrest was a great wedding planner and I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for a very detailed planner and excellent venue for a wedding. She was so responsive to our needs and she presented our ballroom to look amazing. I have already recommend this location to lots of people and the price of the event was very reasonable. The Hotel itself had amazing food, a great ballroom (No drop ceilings! Thank god!), gorgeous place settings, and amazing staff... I can't say enough good things! The price was super reasonable for twin cities and we got lots of perks for doing it on a Friday. Did I mention the huge block of rooms they let us reserve for our guests? We had an absolutely beautiful reception at the Marriott! We worked with Cyndi Secrest, and she really went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. The venue was convenient for out of town guests, the food was great, and rooms were very comfortable. I would do it the same way if I had it to do over again, and would recommend the Airport Marriott to anyone looking for an outstanding reception location!We had an absolutely beautiful reception at the Marriott! We had both a wedding ceremony and reception for 150 guests and were very pleased with our Marriott experience. There was a staffing change from the time we booked until our event but most of our time was spent working with Emily who was professional, pleasant, responsive and did a great job handling our event. We liked the ballroom and I believe the high ceilings really helped the acoustics so we were able to have dancing and table conversation simultaneously. Our contract included a hospitality suite which was used as a central location for staging the wedding and to host some simple food and beverages for the wedding party and family. The suite allowed us to gather together without being in someone’s hotel room. We held our ceremony in the central courtyard and had chairs for 150 people but I believe that would be about the maximum you could seat. No airplanes flew over the hotel during our Saturday evening ceremony but there was a constant hum either from traffic, or air-conditioning. It did not interfere with our ceremony but you need to take into consideration you are going to have some background noise if you use the courtyard. The day of our event, Emily was readily available and made sure that all the last minute details were handled. The lobby has a nice presentation and the wide hallways gave our guests lots of room to mingle during cocktail hour. Dinner service went well and the food was tasty. We had many guests stay at the hotel and everyone was pleased with their room. Everyone who worked at the hotel was accommodating and helpful and not just the people who were working on the wedding. I booked this venue after reading all the rave reviews about the wedding coordinator (Cyndi Secrest) and being impressed by her at our initial meeting. So it was a huge bummer when Cyndi left the Marriott only 3 months into my planning! We ended up working with 4 different wedding coordinators from the Marriott, which made us extremely nervous! There are so many little details that you are afraid something will get missed! However, this venue's staff & management made this 4 person transition flawlessly! Emily is the new (hopefully final!) wedding coordinator at the Marriott as of April (ish) 2016, and she made sure that every last detail was followed up on - without even asking me to repeat everything! She really took the time to go through every email and piece of paper in our contract and knew what was going on so that we didn't have to spend time telling yet another person what we wanted. On top of that, the food was delicious, the staff was super nice & accommodating, the rooms were very comfy and the ballroom was so easy to decorate! It is a great location for out of town guests being so close to the airport & the MOA! There was not a single request of my 230 guests that the hotel did not meet! Overall, we were very pleased with our experience at the Marriott and would certainly recommend this venue to any couple looking to accommodate out-of-town guests with a central location close to the airport, light rail, and Mall of America. Also, the $94 room rate was hard to beat! Our initial wedding coordinator, Emily, left several months in, and we worked with the new wedding coordinator, Molly, for the remainder of the process. Although there were some inconsistencies with what Emily told us and what the hotel ultimately provided for our wedding, there were no major changes, and Molly did an excellent job familiarizing herself with our wedding requests. The Marriott was able to accommodate many of our specific requests for the wedding, such as gluten-free entrees and free Wifi for our guests. It took some time to sort through the final total of our bill, but Molly was patient as we adjusted it to a fair and final payment. The food was great! My family appreciates good food, and even though hotels have the stereotype of not great food, our guests were very complimentary of the food! We also used the outdoor courtyard for our cocktail reception, which was beautiful. I would say Marriott charges a moderate fee for weddings. While some costs are a bit excessive, many things are included complimentary, and they do not "nickel-and-dime" you as many places too. Plus, they take care of all of the set-up and clean-up AND provide a free room for the bride and groom the night of the wedding. As a bride who wanted a classy wedding that was nicely done but not excessive or "break-the-bank," I was more than pleased with our whole day and the planning process. Don't use!. Worse wedding planner ever! Late for rehersal, late for wedding , had the happy hour in the hall way so guest had to walk throu the people who attended. Meal was not very good and then had the nerve to say oh we forgot to charge you for meals, and 1/3 of the guest didn't get correct food! Just not impressed.
Don't use!. Worse wedding planner ever! Late for rehersal, late for wedding , had the happy hour in the hall way so guest had to walk throu the people who attended. Meal was not very good and then had the nerve to say oh we forgot to charge you for meals, and 1/3 of the guest didn't get correct food! Just not impressed.
