  Our favorite part of plannin!

  As a long time Birmingham resident and foodie I knew my dream wedding would include a Dreamcake! I was wary that Dreamcakes might be beyond my budget but regardless my fiance and I booked a consult...and to my delight they were totally within my budget!!! I also already knew what flavors of cake I wanted but we went through the tasting process all the same. Let me tell you, me and fiance talked for weeks about what a fun date/experience it was to have such a fun consult at Dreamcakes, try all the different flavors of cake, and then we went next door and ate at New York City Pizza. The least stressful vendor selection of the entire planning process. Get a Dreamcake!

  DreamCakes is an absolute must for both Wedding and Groom's cakes. They take the time with you to assure your choice of designs and flavors will be exactly what you need, and will do their best to match a design you want, even if it isn't in the book (which is exactly what they accomplished). Samples of different flavors was extremely helpful. Delivery and setup was flawless. We were amazed how perfect the cakes turned out, and well beyond our expectations.

  We got married in Tallahassee, FL, but we met in Birmingham (where my husband is from). While living in Birmingham Dreamcakes was an almost weekly tradition with us, and once they introduced their cake made with Good People Coffee Oatmeal Stout we knew we had found our perfect cake. Once we got engaged, one of the first phone calls we made was to Dreamcakes to see if they could make us a grooms cake that could travel to Tallahassee. They were awesome- didn't even blink at the idea, and worked with me and my bridesmaids to make sure that the cake arrived safely. They told us the best way to transport the cake and how to store it so that it would look perfect for the wedding. I am just so impressed with them. The cake was SO good and I was asked all throughout the reception what kind of cake it was because our guests loved it so much! I loved having a taste of Birmingham at our wedding, and I'm so glad that Dreamcakes was able, willing, and eager to work with us to make sure that everything went smoothly.

  Dreamcakes made the cupcakes and cake for our wedding. They were AMAZING. My friends and family raved about the cupcakes all night. We wanted variety for our guests so we got their 5 most popular flavors. Almost everyone went back for a second cupcake!

  We went to Dreamcakes for a taste testing session and every sample they gave us was absolutely delicious. We had come to Dreamcakes often to get a cupcake treat and I knew what my favorite cupcake was there (Chocolate Cheesecake).   They did a great job and everything tasted AMAZING! We used Dreamcakes Bakery because Andrew, my husband, does not like cake but he LOVES key lime pie. So he wanted mini key lime pies instead of a cake. The people at the Sonnet House told us that they make the best mini pies in Birmingham. I'm sure glad we took their advice because they were delicious. They also made my cake which was a Star Ward wedding cake and they did an awesome job! I was so impressed and pleased with how it turned out!

  Dreamcakes was unbelievable! We are still getting compliments on the beautiful work that they did. The only problem in our wedding was that the cake was so delicious, people went for multiple pieces and we ran out! My cake was very simple and clean, and they really listened to what I wanted. My husband's cake was something they had never done before, but they pulled it off perfectly. Absolutely recommending them to any Birmingham bride!

  Dreamcakes provided excellent customer service and a wonderful wedding cake. We also booked the cupcake truck for the rehearsal dinner and it was a big hit. Everyone was bragging on their cupcakes and cake all weekend long. You have to try them if you don't know the best secret in all Homewood.

  The cakes were delicious and beautiful. Dreamcakes delivered the bride's cake and groom's cake to the venue and decorated the bride's cake with flowers from the floral designer. They were easy to work with and very professional.

  We chose to go with multiple desserts rather than one wedding cake, and Dreamcakes was the perfect vendor for what we wanted. They created our five cakes (including the maple bacon which was a HUGE hit with guests) as well as our cobblers and banana pudding, and everything looked perfect and tasted phenomenal. Katie Moon arranged everything so perfectly and was so fun and professional throughout the process. Recommend them very highly!!

I think the only problem was that the Strawberry cupcake was a little sweeter than usual, but still very good. The bakery also made our groom's cake (caramel sea salt mocha), which is ALWAYS delicious. They said it was their first time making it into a cake and they did it so well. Everyone at the rehearsal was talking about how delicious it was for the rest of the night! Everyone there is always so friendly and accommodating. Such a great place!

  We used Dreamcakes for our wedding cake and cupcakes for our groom's cake. I was able to bring them a photo of a cake that I really liked off of the internet and they replicated it perfectly. They were great to work with my budget and very nice. We loved their wedding cake flavor compared to all of the other cake places we looked at. It was delicious and beautiful!

  Oh my goodness - what deliciousness if there is such a word. Absolutely fantastic. While I didn't meet Jan Moon (my daughter did), she took my daughter's vision and simply made it happen. She wanted it simple yet detailed and the wedding cake was that and more - far exceeded my daughter's expectations. And all our guests simply raved about the taste and how moist it was - not the standard wedding cake at all. The groom's cake was done with an Alabama theme and again, exactly what he wanted. We had a special cupcake for the bridal luncheon and again, the taste was awesome. It's a good thing I live 2 hours from her shop - I couldn't resist visiting it every day! One of the best choices we made and I would highly recommend Jan Moon and her staff for any bakery needs.

  My experience with dream cakes was so easy and wonderful. I’m gluten free and they made the most delicious and moist wedding cake. My husband got a Game of Thrones groom’s cake which was so unique with great detail. The staff was very sweet and easy to work with. We were overwhelmed with compliments about how tasty and beautiful our cakes were at the wedding

  Our wedding cake was SO delish! We did layers of traditional wedding cake and strawberry cake with their PERFECT buttercream icing! YUM

  We went with miniature cupcakes for our outdoor picnic wedding, and Dreamcakes was the perfect choice! The coconut, strawberry and lemon mini cupcakes were heavenly, scrumptious, sweet endings to the perfect evening. Thank you, Dreamcakes, for completing our evening in the sweetest way!

  We used Dreamcakes for both our bride's and groom's cakes. I had a traditional white cake with almond buttercream icing, and my groom had a strawberry cake. Katie was great to work with and was able to help me choose my designs over email since I was planning from out-of-state. The cakes were similarly priced to elsewhere in town but tasted phenomenal and looked very professional. All our guests loved the cake, and we had just the right amount with only a few pieces left over!
