Halloween party
We chose Marie to help plan & set up our Halloween party. At first she was good. Had good ideas & was excited. She requested we pay entire pricing beforehand. (We know better now!) the DJ (500$) never showed up. said he was outside but was never coming. We never got our money back & she does not respond to 1/2 our text. When she does, she has excuses. If you use her, do not pay first! We feel lied to & used. $500 is ALOT of money to just ignore.

If we could give negative stars we absolutely would.
Marie Walker has done the absolute worst job imaginable as a wedding planner/coordinator. She caused so much extra stress leading up to our wedding day, and even refuses to give us back money we are rightfully owed.
Here is a list of some of the things she did (or failed to do):
1. Refused to pick up the phone or even call us back the WEEK and even the DAY of the wedding.
2. Left us to deal with last-minute questions the vendors had, something that we hired her to manage.
3. Told us she would run our Rehearsal ceremony and then said she couldn’t make it a few hours before. She didn’t bother to send an assistant or even send us an outline of things that needed to be gone over.
4. Showed up to our wedding day for LESS that two hours, providing no assistance outside of building a sweetheart table arch and putting flowers on the cake. She cited a family emergency as her reason for leaving early but failed to leave behind any of the assistants that were with her to fulfil services that we paid for.
5. Didn’t even bother to come greet us when she arrived at the venue, and our officiant informed us she had no interest in doing so.
6. Completely failed to decorate the cake how we had asked, despite being very clear in text and via pictures of what we had in mind.
7. Has failed to refund us money for one of the vendors that canceled over a MONTH ago.
8. Has failed to refund us money for non-delivery of services as outlined in the contract.
Marie has come up with excuse after excuse as to why the above happened and has even flat out admitted that she did not deliver as expected on the services outlined in our contract. Marie kept saying how our experience was an anomaly and that “I have given excellent service to everyone else” and how “This is not the character of my business” (both direct quotes from her) but has still failed in every way to make things right. While we understand some things are unavoidable, she continues to deny us a refund for her failure of services.
If it weren’t for us taking over her duties dealing with the vendors and the vendors going above and beyond to make our wedding happen, the wedding could have been a disaster.
