    I love this place! It is beautiful, romantic, and historical. It fit all our family and friends.

    The Drexel Hall was very accommodating and easy to work with. They were affordable. A beautiful venue they keep in good shape.

    Michael and Richard were so easy to work with. They let us come in Friday at 9:30 the day before the wedding and set up so that we could relax that afternoon before the rehearsal and not worry about decorating the Saturday of the wedding. I came to the hall multiple times to get an idea of where to put things, how many tables I would need, etc. They were SO accommodating. It saved us so much money being able to bring in our own food and alcohol, and overall the value was excellent! They helped make our beautiful vintage new years eve wedding a huge success! I highly recommend Drexel Hall to any Kansas City Bride!

    Beautiful venue!! I had my wedding and reception in their great room. Everything was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this location for wedding and/or reception. I was very pleased!!

    Richard is extremely efficient and takes pride in owning and renting this ballroom. Drexel Hall was a timeless and elegant venue and was absolutely perfect for us. You can rent white chairs and tables from Drexel Hall for a small price and that saves a lot of worry with rentals, etc. Our pictures of Drexel came out beautifully and we are so glad we had our reception there. It fit about 300 people beautifully. The balconly is classic...what a fairytale.

    Drexel Hall is a beautiful and classic place to have your reception or ceremony. It's large enough to accommodate a bigger event but also intimate. When you rent, it is building only, so depending on the size of your event you must have a good team of vendors, including caterers, bartenders, planners, etc. to run things. That being said, the venue is beautiful and a historic KC landmark. The owners and managers of the hall were also accessible and friendly to deal with. It was also very affordable for the size.

    This venue is so unique, elegant and a great deal for the cost. It's a steal compared to other places in KC, but the main place we found we saved money here is using their suggestion of Affordable Catering and us getting to provide the alcohol, so we avoided all the mark up with that. I think a lot of people thought our reception cost much more that it actually did- which is great :)

    Drexel Hall was a beautiful setting for our reception. Richard was great to work with, very timely and professional. He allowed us to come in early the day before to decorate which was very generous and to return the next morning to finish our clean-up. We brought our own alcohol and hired bartenders from Affordable Catering to serve which saved us a bunch compared to other venues. The balconies are gorgeous and I love that the building has its original hard wood floors. We did have to seat some guests upstairs and some downstairs for dinner (150 guests), but it wasn't much of an inconvenience for our younger friends to go upstairs. I would recommend Drexel Hall to brides looking for an affordable and beautiful reception location.

    The hall was gorgeous. If I could do it all over again, I'd still do it there. Beautiful space and every memory and photo shines because of it.

    We were extremely pleased to hold our wedding & reception at Drexel Hall. It's a charming place where we've attended several other events. Its upstairs balcony overlooks the main floor and was a big selling point for us. Tables and chairs are available as part of your contract. Economically, their fee even for a Saturday was one of the most reasonable of those we checked. There's not much of a kitchen though, which was cumbersome for our caterer. They were familiar with the location however, and were prepared to work with what the venue did offer. There's a list of "preferred" caterers (ours was not one of them), and we were not pushed to use their recommendations. Overall was a pleasure to work with Drexel Hall and I would highly recommend them!

    Beautiful venue!! Really enjoyed our reception, however, setting up and decorating was difficult as the site is a Historic building. Several electrical outlets don't work or short out. Other than that, the setting was amazing!

    Drexel Hall is a beautiful venue that was large enough to hold over 300 people. The owner was not very friendly or particularly helpful until we chose a caterer. Apparently we chose one he liked because he suddenly became very helpful! Keep in mind when you choose Drexel, you are just getting the space which means more management for the planners (bride, mother, etc). It was a beautiful space and in the end, my reception was perfect!

    We had a beautiful wedding reception at Drexel Hall. It was difficult at times to wait patiently for the staff to slowly respond to emails as we were told this was their preferred communication preference. We felt that the set up of tables and chairs and or tear down of, should’ve been included in the rental price/agreement. Overall we were happy with this venue.

    Drexel Hall was perfect for our reception. I loved how we could decorate the day before. I also loved that it was affordable and we could bring in our own liquor.
    The reason I give them a "just okay" review is because of the owners. I felt like they were rude 1/2 the time. If I am paying someone almost 3 grand for one night... I think they should treat me with more respect.... Just saying.

    The hall was beautiful and we enjoyed our wedding very much. The only problems I had was that every time we called, we felt as if we were disrupting and bothering them. Also, be aware that they nickel and dime you. You can't get in a day early, have extra chairs, or even enough tables without paying extra. If we had known how much it was REALLY going to cost, we could have gotten someone who decorated for us and provided linens too. We still enjoyed the day and it IS a beautiful venue. Just pricier than originally thought

    The site is very beautiful but having to deal with the management is not worth it. Never in the office. Thinks its a bother to answer your questions or to plan a time to meet with you. I wish I would have picked a different place just so I wouldn't have had to deal with the management! I am warning any brides out there go some where else!
