When we were looking for a wedding photographer, we knew pretty quickly that Eastbrook Photography was going to be our top choice. Having just celebrated our wedding, we could not have been anymore pleased or impressed with Mike. His photography style and his technical expertise are second to none, and some of the shots that he took were absolutely incredible. Mike is also very friendly, and was a pleasure to work with during the planning process. We could tell during our wedding day that he takes a lot of pride in his work, and was prepared for all of the standard wedding photo shots as well as unique ones that required some pre-scouting. He even pivoted a couple shots due to rainy weather to take advantage of the conditions and snap many stunning photos. We got our photos back in two weeks, and they look fantastic. Website is super easy to navigate and to download photos, and it's well organized. Bottom line, if you want wedding photos that you'll love more than you thought was possible, hire Mike.Eastbrook Photography's reply:

We had previously hired Mike to take our engagement photos & adored how they turned out, so naturally, we booked him to shoot our wedding as well. What I was looking for in a photographer when shopping through vendors was someone with the consistent composition I preferred & Mike always did a stellar job at taking photos that captured the entire moment just right! He also got all the little details we want to remember about our special day & that's so important to us. Mike was an absolute joy to work with. He's creative, fun, easy going, flexible and, oh yeah, extremely talented!! If you want natural, happy, catch-the-people-you-love-in-a-moment-you-love photos - he's your guy. He has a way of making you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera (which my husband and I were certainly not - ha!) and honestly made us look great. And if he says "I've got an idea..." - run with it! Those were some of my favorite photos. Mike also did our engagement photos, driving all the way up to DC for us and the pictures were awesome. Highly recommend an engagement session to get to know each other and get comfortable in front of a camera. Also, we were a Covid couple, so when we had to postpone (both our wedding and engagement shoot), he was so accommodating and responsive. We were so lucky to find Mike and can't recommend him enough!Eastbrook Photography's reply:

Perfect Blend of Classic and Creative Shots!
We hired Mike for our engagement and bridal photos. If he didn't have another commitment on our wedding day, we would have loved to have him photograph that as well! Mike is friendly and professional and does a good job of making you feel comfortable during the shoots. He has a great eye for locations and lighting, but what I really love most is that he delivers the right blend of the classics shots with creative ones, too. I absolutely would recommend him for any photography needs! -

When we had to change our plans due to COVID, Mike was very accommodating and easy to work with. We honestly hit the jackpot with Mike! I was searching for a “journalistic style” photographer and stumbled upon Eastbrook Photography and knew immediately it was a perfect match! Mike was extremely accommodating and flexible with phone calls and engagement picture scheduling as we were planning from out of state! We were initially nervous for our engagement pictures, as neither of us had been professionally photographed before, but Mike instantly helped us feel comfortable. On our wedding day, Mike helped us feel relaxed while also keeping us on schedule. He worked efficiently without making us feel rushed and we got all the shots we wanted with ease! Mike is ridiculously talented and it shows in every single one of our photographs. We, and our families, will cherish these photos forever and we could not recommend Mike enough! -

Exceptional work!
We just got our full wedding album from Mike and we are thrilled! We were drawn to Mike’s photos by his emphasis on emotion and their colorful, vibrant feel, and we are so excited to see that come out in our own pictures. We sent him a few notes and a board of our favorite photos from his galleries, and he totally understood what we were looking for and fit that bill perfectly. He has a great sense for candids as well as a knack for finding great posed opportunities, like shooting through blooming flowers, finding the perfect wide shot, or snagging just the right twilight lighting. We are so happy with the pictures- many would fit right into a magazine, many capture the emotion of us and our guests just as we hoped, and a few very aptly capture our goofy side (Did I stick my tongue *all* the way out while we cut the cake? Apparently so, and I have the photo to prove it).
From our first conversations it was clear Mike was laid-back, professional, knowledgeable and would be super easy to work with. We were new to being professionally photographed, and at the engagement shoot Mike set us up with simple poses and actions that felt natural, resulted in great pictures, and really boosted our comfort and confidence going into the wedding.
On the wedding day, Mike and his second shooter, Caleb, made everything easy, fun, and really enhanced our enjoyment of the day. We had a bit of rain during our first look, and they were really flexible, adjusting the location and helping us adapt the order of photos on the fly. Their welcoming demeanor put everyone at ease and helped us get all of our group shots done efficiently, which gave us a lot of time for fun couple shots when the sun came back out. After the ceremony, Mike even hopped in the back of a gator to ride to the top of the vineyard’s vines to get photos with a view overlooking the valley. During the ceremony and reception, they were in exactly the right places almost without you noticing, and our guests were impressed by their ability to keep things relaxed and capture the moments beautifully and unobtrusively.
And his turnaround is unreal! He had a sample of engagement photos up on Facebook the same day we took them and the full album to us later that week. After the wedding, he had an amazing preview that covered the whole day up less than 24 hours later, which was so fun to be able to share with our families and friends so soon. And less than three weeks after the wedding, we were thrilled to receive our final (huge!) album of beautiful photos.
We couldn't be happier that we chose Mike for our wedding and we recommend him highly!

He was not pushy whatsoever and truly allowed us to enjoy every moment, while capturing such amazing photos. We received a "sneak peek" the day after the wedding and we are completely in awe already! All of us (including our family and friends) are so taken back by these photos and could not be happier. I highly recommend Mike and cannot wait to see the rest of the photos! -
Kelsey Sent on 10/12/2017I couldn't be happier in my decision to book Mike as my photographer. He kept in contact with me for the whole year and a half leading up to my wedding. Neither my husband nor I have ever had professional pictures taken, but he made us feel so comfortable and natural- it felt like my best friend taking photos of me. He and his second shooter were willing to work with our private backyard venue, and gefting ready at two different locations without any hassle. My own wedding was the first wedding I've experienced the bride and groom being ahead of schedule. They were both so great at choosing locations in the yard for their vision, and being so efficiant that we got to enjoy half of our cocktail hour. I've been following Eastbrook Photography's work for two years, amd have fallen more and more in love with their work everytime new weddings get posted. I have not even been married two weeks, so I have only gotten to view a dozen or so of my own pictures, but based on my love for them, I am so looking forward to seeing the rest soon; I can hardly wait!

We worked with Mike for our wedding in 2015, and he did a fantastic job documenting our special day. We enjoyed working with him so much that last month, we asked him to photograph another special time for our family - our maternity portraits! Hire Eastbrook Photography -- you won't regret it!
Mike at Eastbrook Photography is awesome. He is so easygoing and fun to work with, and he has such an eye for photography. We definitely splurged when deciding to work with Mike, but I'm in love with both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures, and am so glad we worked with him! Our wedding day was cloudy/rainy, but luckily Mike works quickly. Between he and his second shooter, we were able to get a lot of awesome photos of the venue, wedding party, and families before the rain even began.
I was a little nervous about the photos post-rain, but Mike made them look great! I highly recommend buying clear bubble umbrellas if you're worried it'll rain on your wedding day, because they look adorable in photos. Another thing we loved is that Mike edited a handful of photos from our ceremony during our reception and showed us some edited sneak peeks before our reception even ended! He did a great job capturing all the dancing and energy at our reception, and has a knack for capturing in-the-moment emotions of people, rather than just posing them like some wedding photographers tend to do.
It took a bit longer than expected to get our wedding photos back, but we were very pleased with them and it's been so fun to relive our wedding day through Mike's amazing work!Eastbrook Photography's reply:

When looking for a wedding photographer, there is a striking difference between someone who can do a good job documenting an event and someone who has an artistic vision for taking advantage of creative opportunities based on the conditions of your specific wedding (weather, lighting, surroundings, decorations, etc.) with the knowledge of how they will interact with everything from the framing of a shot to depth of field or exposure. It was really important to us to find a photographer who could do both, and after doing lots of looking around and eventually meeting with Mike in person, we decided on Eastbrook Photography.
The only issue we ran into over the course of planning and waiting on photos was that Mike could sometimes be a bit slow to respond to emails. One of those times (that was dealing with more time-sensitive questions) we eventually just called him, which did end up being an effective way to get everything worked out in short order, but there were a few times where we were left waiting on an email response for longer than we would have expected. We suspect he gets crazy busy during wedding season and emails just start to overwhelm. He was always very apologetic when his responses took a long time.
Mike was always extremely friendly, and on the day-of, he had the perfect blend of being professional while helping us relax and have a lot of fun, making working with him a joy; and the amazing and beautiful pictures of our wedding are exactly what we wanted! We got a two photographer package and the second photographer, Nikki, also did an amazing job—not only was she experienced and knowledgeable, but she helped make everything go smoothly and really went above and beyond to help us create some breathtaking photos (there’s a delicate athleticism and unique skill required to run, duck, and weave with a lit sparkler in the dark for something like 15 minutes straight!).
Overall, we were thrilled with our photographers and the resulting pictures! We would definitely recommend them to others. -
