  Eat Catering - Exceptional Service for Our Son’s Wedding

  We had an absolutely flawless experience with Eat Catering for my son’s wedding, from the rehearsal dinner to the wedding reception. Everything was executed perfectly, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. Sheila was incredibly helpful throughout the menu planning process. The tasting felt like a full meal, and it was honestly difficult to choose from so many delicious options! Her guidance made the decision-making process much easier, and we were thrilled with how everything turned out.   One of the most impressive things about Eat Catering was their ability to handle the fluctuations in our guest numbers with complete ease. The team was always gracious and flexible, no matter the changes. Plus, the fact that they took care of the china, silverware, and glassware made the entire process much simpler, and it was a great value.
  Both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception were unique and special, thanks to Eat Catering’s thoughtful coordination. It was such a relief to work with the same dedicated team across both days. We felt completely understood, and our vision for both events came to life beautifully.   Large Menu (Great for Dietary Restrictions!)

We were immediately impressed by their fair pricing, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. They were also incredibly accommodating with dietary restrictions, offering a variety of options that were clearly displayed and easy for our guests to identify.   We chose Eat Kitchen and Catering for our wedding day and couldn't have been happier with the services and food they provided. They went above and beyond our expectations. Not only was the food delicious, the staff made sure we (the bride and groom) got to taste every last bit of the food, and approached us with drinks throughout the night. I actually used to cater weddings myself and I spent some extra time towards the end of the night thanking the staff and chatting with them.   Great Value and Product, but responsiveness with staff leaves something to be desired

  I will make this clear, if you can get EAT Catering signed for your wedding, I'm sure you'll have a great experience that is reasonably priced and of good quality.
  
  However, this is not the experience my wife and I had. Our tasting went well, the staff was friendly and the food was fantastic. However, we didn't think twice about not having gotten a physical contract with them. As we continued wedding planning, my wife sent them an email roughly two months before our wedding to confirm details. Sadly, this is when we found out that a spot they normally kept reserved for our venue (As a preferred vendor) was given to another wedding. We were devastated... Read more

  Great catering team!!

  EAT catering was great to work with for our wedding day. We had a lovely tasting in advance & had various selections for our wedding day food. Our cocktail hour foods and dinner was amazing and we heard tons of compliments. Creamy herb chicken, potatoes & green beans are definitely recommended as well as the rosemary and garlic pork loin. Chicken salad crosswinds were also delicious for our cocktail hour.
  
  Beer and wine was good. The cocktails could’ve been better as we heard they were not great- but overall was worth it to have the good food on our wedding day!
  
  Sheila is great to work with & we’d recommend them to anyone getting married in the Richmond, Powhatan VA area!

  My husband, family, friends, and I are still talking about how amazing EAT Catering was at our wedding. From the food to the service, they are 10 out of 10. In addition to passed appetizers, we did a buffet style dinner, mac & cheese bar, and a plated salad to start, and it couldn’t have worked out better. I worked with Sheila mostly, and she was a pleasure to correspond with and always had a smile on her face while at the wedding. All the servers and bartenders were attentive and professional. My husband and I also liked that we could provide our own alcohol and EAT Catering had a mixer package, so we didn’t have to worry about all the little ingredients. I gave the recipes for our 3 signature drinks and let them know what liquor we got, and they took care of the rest. The drinks were all so good too! We had a guest count of about 90 and there was plenty of food for everyone plus leftovers, which were enjoyed as after wedding late night snacks and for a couple meals the next few days! We learned pretty quickly that catering costs can get quite high, EAT Catering has very reasonable prices and many different options to fit most budgets and when you take into account the quality of the food, service and experience, it’s one of the best values out there. After the wedding, my husband said, “can we have EAT Catering cater every single event from now on?” 100% recommend!

  We booked EAT Catering for our wedding and loved them! The food is amazing and the team of people are so so sweet and caring. Shelia and her team will make you feel so special and we loved the picnic basket they packed for us to take home after the wedding. Shelia was there to answer any and all questions we had throughout the whole process. We did a Buffett for our catering and the food was hot from the first person being served all the way to the last! The steak and chicken were cooked perfectly and we keep receiving compliments from our guest about how great all of it tasted!

  From the initial tasting to the final plate of food served at the wedding, Sheila and her staff at EAT Catering were nothing short of AMAZING! We cannot recommend them enough! They were greatly accommodating to any dietary restriction we had, and the friendliness and professionalism of the serving staff rivals top tier restaurants. If you are considering using EAT Catering for your wedding, DO IT!

  We hired EAT Catering based off of recommendations from the venue where my daughter was having her wedding. They did not disappoint! We had about 200 guests with passed appetizers, a plated salad and buffet meal of salmon and petit filet with sides of mashed potatoes and mixed veggies - it was exceptional. Everyone talked about how tender and well-seasoned the food was. The mini crab cakes are definitely worth the price and were a big hit! Don't forget the dinner rolls - they were amazing!   We used EAT catering for our wedding, and everything was fantastic from start to finish. The tasting was absolutely wonderful, and it was hard to choose which foods we wanted for the wedding because they were all so good!!! We ended up getting the bruschetta, ham and apple butter biscuits, and steak skewers for our cocktail hour, and they were a hit! Everyone loved them. We did the bbq buffet for the main meal, which was absolutely delicious as well. The servers and bartenders were very professional and friendly. They even sent me and my husband home with leftovers that we enjoyed in our hotel that evening. I highly recommend EAT catering!

  EAT catering has the best food ever! I have a pretty bad seafood allergy and they were so considerate and accommodating to it. Bartending services were also so great by them!

  We hired EAT Catering because we knew that they would be so easy to work with based on our initial inquiry. It was a huge bonus that their food was also amazing. Many people told us how much they loved our appetizers. All of the staff (servers, bartender, and catering manager) was lovely to work with.

  The servers and bartenders were impeccable, and the food was delicious. From the beginning, Sheila made everything so easy for us.

  The servers and bartenders were impeccable, and the food was delicious. From the beginning, Sheila made everything so easy for us.
  
  I love that EAT has SO MANY food options and serving styles, and that you can handle all of your linen and serve ware needs right in one place. We got everything food and drink related from EAT, and it was worth every penny because they made it such a breeze. They provided appetizers for cocktail hour, allowed us to serve dinner at the tables family style (which I have never seen before at a wedding), did a hot chocolate bar since it was a winter wedding, and provided the non-alcoholic beverages since we opted to supply the alcohol ourselves. The bartenders even did our custom cocktails! They also set up a delicious assorted deserts station since we opted not to do a big wedding cake. It was a complete hit.
  
  My husband and I did our tasting day and selected our linens and plates at the same meeting, and then on our wedding day, exactly what we asked for arrived exactly where and how we wanted it. Plus, it was really affordable!
  
  And Sheila was so flexible with our changing guest count, and with dietary accomodations!
  
  Everyone loved the food, and I loved that it was easy and all encompassing so I only had to communicate with one person to handle everything food and drink related. And Sheila is so reliable and prompt in communication that I never once stressed.
  
  I will recommend EAT catering to anyone getting married, or literally any situation where you'd need a caterer.

  EAT catered our December wedding rehearsal dinner and reception and we are so glad we chose them!! It was a seamless process from the beginning taste test through the last dish cleaned up on our wedding night. Sheila, the catering director, answered many of my questions and made sure all the details were in place. Rachel attended both our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception and did a great job on food and bartending. The servers were prompt and so sweet. Everything went off without a hitch! We chose the barbecue package for our rehearsal and the herb roasted chicken/petite tenderloin for our reception and our guests raved on the food - it was absolutely delicious!   Plant-based options? Yes please!

  With me being vegan, it was a struggle at first trying to find a company that could cater to both mine and my husbands palette (as he loves his meat) - but EAT went above and beyond any expectations we had! They made two of our sides vegan and even took it a step further and provided a fully vegan meal for a few of my guests. One of the guests was in awe as she stated to me that she’s never been to a wedding with a vegan option before! All of the food was talked about for days after the wedding - everyone thought it was incredibly delicious!

  Great Experience

  We had a wonderful experience using EAT catering for our daughter’s wedding! The food was delicious! Sheila readily responded to my email questions. The service the day of the wedding was excellent. One of the staff members even assisted with getting my elderly mother in and out of the car. I highly recommend EAT catering for your next event!

  Absolutely divine!

  Your guests will be raving about EAT Catering long after your events. Shelia and her team were extremely helpful and we had such a good time at our tasting. During our wedding, the servers made sure my new husband and I got food and drink during our pictures and had a plate full of food ready as we walked into our reception. They made sure our glasses were full and "catered" to our every need. 10/10 would recommend this local catering to any event!!

  Wonderful!

  EAT allowed us to work with the team to create a custom menu that catered to our family traditions, dietary restrictions, and specific foods that were desired but we were unable to find anywhere else. Everything was executed with perfection and everyone raved about all of the delicious food! EAT also provided our bartenders that were personable and friendly with all of our guests. The whole team at EAT was wonderful to work with!

  Great Food!

  EAT Catering catered the food for our wedding and it was absolutely fantastic! Rob is great to work with. He’s super friendly, knowledgeable & organized.
  
  I can’t say enough great things about the food, it was so incredibly good. We did a taco bar and EAT knocked it out of the park. By far some of the best food I’ve had, and all the guests loved it!
