An Incredible Photographer and Artist

Our experience with Ella Grace Photography was absolutely phenomenal. Carissa was very well prepared and moved us through the planned photographs capturing everything that we had discussed and so much more. She went above and beyond to get some of the most amazing wedding photographs I have ever seen, at one point literally wading in the water to get the perfect angle for our lakefront shots at the dock.

I cannot say enough to recommend this service to anyone that wants to ensure they have photographic record of their special day. Carissa is an artist and a master at what she does. She has a wonderful personality and sense of humor that makes all the time spent together such a privilege to experience.

Absolutely Incredible!

I can’t say enough nice things about Carissa! She is such a kind, caring person that we genuinely enjoyed having near us on our wedding day! She comes in with a plan and gets all the shots you want while also being accommodating and kind! We also used her for our engagement pictures and were so impressed with the quality of her pictures. She is so talented and we can’t wait to see the entire collection of pictures from our wedding day. The sneak peeks have already been incredible! Highly, highly recommend!!

Carissa was amazing throughout the whole wedding process and answered any question I had. From our engagement photos to our wedding photos she was spot on and got all the pictures I wanted and more! Choosing Ella Grace Photography was absolutely the best decision we could have made for our wedding day. Carissa handled her self with such professionalism and grace throughout the entire planning of our wedding and even more on our wedding day. So lovely!

Working with Ella Grace Photography was the best possible thing I could have done! I got married at a golf course that kept the course open and Carissa worked tirelessly to remove every golfer from my photos. She has such an eye for detail. The photos are beautiful and I can't even decide which ones are my favorites. All of them are THAT good!

She made sure to get all of the pictures we wanted. Carissa knew exactly when to give direction and when to capture the moments as they happened. I wish I could give 10 stars. I first met Carissa when she was shooting a friend of mine's wedding. She had this enthusiasm that permeated through the wedding. I wish I could give 10 stars. I first met Carissa when she was shooting a friend of mine's wedding. She had this enthusiasm that permeated through the wedding. Her sneak peak photo was given to me within 12 hours tops and was beautiful. It was a SUPER hot day and you could not tell that I was sweating in these photos. Carissa was amazing! Ella Grace Photography was amazing! She was very responsive, totally reasonable and really cares about her clients. She took the time to get to know what I envisioned, even helped me find different visions, and also allowed me to send her samples of what I'd like. She was always on time, and always found the best way to get the photos. Not only did she listen to our visions, she also ensured that we got pictures of those whom we wanted in a timely manor. It was great to work with her on these, and if we ever need more photography done, we will for sure use her. I can't recommend her enough, so if you're looking for someone, she is great and her prices are VERY reasonable.

If you can book Carissa, do it. She is one of the most talented and creative photographers I have come across. First, you don’t even know she is there, yet she was busy capturing the most beautiful moments of a special day. We rented a trolley for the entire bridal party and had made prior arrangements to gain access to Deer Island which would have provided a gorgeous backdrop of harbor and city views; but once we arrived, it began to rain. My daughter was so disappointed, but Carissa remained optimistic as she monitored the weather radar on her phone. When the weather didn’t improve, instead of giving up and suggesting we take photos indoors at the reception hall,...

If you can book Carissa, do it. She is one of the most talented and creative photographers I have come across. When the weather didn’t improve, instead of giving up and suggesting we take photos indoors at the reception hall, Carissa jumped into action and took some of the most unique photos of the bride and groom and bridal party while we were riding in the trolley. The wooden paneling and windows made it seem like we were in an English pub. My daughter and her husband wanted to have a picture taken outside their favorite restaurant (also the site of their engagement), but it started to pour. Carissa jumped off the trolley (and got soaked herself) and took a picture of them at the back of the trolley with the restaurant’s sign in the background!! It was perfect. At the reception hall, I forgot she was even there, yet she was taking photo after photo and the results are amazing. Just before leaving, Carissa found me and asked if I wanted some photos with my friends. She had heard that some lifelong friends were guests at the wedding. Being so busy greeting guests and dancing, I didn’t even think of this, but Carissa did, and I am so grateful for that. She worked so well with our other vendors that the entire day went by without a single hiccup (other than the rain which Carissa handled for us). We are so grateful to Carissa for all that she did to make my daughter’s day perfect.

Carissa was on-time (AKA, 40 minutes early!) for our big day and showed up with a big smile on our face. She took the lead in organizing all the photos we wanted which was incredibly difficult with both of our large and bossy families. 1. Carissa is SO organized! I talked to several photographers but she was by far the most organized and experienced. You also tell her ahead of time anything you definitely want her to capture, which leaves you feeling confident she will capture your full experience in exactly the way you dreamed!
2. Carissa works incredibly hard to get a clear and comprehensive idea of who you are and your personal style, as well as what you want from your wedding photography. She talked to me for a significant amount of time to get an idea of what feel I wanted my photos to have, and...

We couldn't be any happier with Ella Grace Photography for so many reasons!
1. Carissa is SO organized! I talked to several photographers but she was by far the most organized and experienced. You also tell her ahead of time anything you definitely want her to capture, which leaves you feeling confident she will capture your full experience in exactly the way you dreamed!
2. Carissa works incredibly hard to get a clear and comprehensive idea of who you are and your personal style, as well as what you want from your wedding photography. She talked to me for a significant amount of time to get an idea of what feel I wanted my photos to have, and what I wanted from them, and then helped me refine my ideas and put them into words. We ended up deciding on a romantic, soft look and that is exactly how my pictures ended up!
3. When looking for my photographer, my number one priority was capturing the emotions of the day and the way we felt, and capturing the most important and meaningful moments in a way that would convey the emotions of the moment. I could try to explain how perfectly she did that, but I'll just say this - check out her website, her photo gallery speaks for itself. I cried several times looking through the photos because I am just so happy that all of our special moments are captured forever in beautiful photographs that exude the emotions and meanings of the moments they depict.
4. On the wedding day, Carissa is efficient but kind and patient, organized, confidence-inspiring, and fun. You will genuinely enjoy taking pictures with her as her joy and kindness make taking pictures yet another wonderful part of your wedding day.
5. THE PICTURES ARE GORGEOUS. Again, I could list a thousand reasons why, like her creative eye, her attention to detail, but I'd rather just send you to her website to see her pics!

I met Carissa from Ella Grace Photography from Thumbtack. She quickly responded to my request for a photographer for my wedding. She worked well within my budget and made a package that was perfect for me. She was easy to get ahold of throughout the months of planning. I met Carissa from Ella Grace Photography from Thumbtack. She quickly responded to my request for a photographer for my wedding. She worked well within my budget and made a package that was perfect for me. She was easy to get ahold of throughout the months of planning. She went over every detail with us (even ones I hadn't thought of) to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. On our wedding day, she was punctual and very professional. She was very good at directing us where to go to get the best photographs. We got our pictures one and a half months after the wedding (but gave us a couple early that we requested to give as presents). We are so happy with all the pictures that we received (we got over 600 pictures, which is so much more than I expected). We are very happy that we chose this photographer.
