  My dress is amazing!

  Worked with eltsa bridal in Bellevue for my dress alterations. I had about 6 fittings, and she made sure every single detail was perfect. I LOVE my dress and highly recommend for alterations!!!

  I can't recommend Eltsa Custom Sewing enough. I have had great experiences with them with other items, so it was a no brainer to take my wedding dress there and they delivered. Very flexible with the timing -- kept allowing me to come back with new shoes before finalizing it, and kept reminding me of the timeline before a rush order would be necessary. Even then, I picked my dress up just 1 week after my final fitting and with only 2 weeks to go before the wedding. Highly recommend.

  The shop I bought my wedding dress from recommended I bring it to Eltsa for alterations. I was very happy with the work done here. The staff were pleasant and everything was done in a timely way. On top of that, they saved me a couple hundred dollars by suggesting that I skip alterations I was thinking of. And most important of all, the dress looked great.

  When I bought my wedding dress, I was a size 14. After 6 stressful months of grad school and wedding planning, I dropped to a size 6. I was terrified my dress wouldn't fit anymore since it was so structured and beaded in the middle. It was from a second-hand store too so I couldn't return it to get a smaller size. I searched for a long time, and Eltsa had such great reviews that I felt confident bringing her my dress to alter. Her and the other seamstresses did a fabulous job on my dress, and it fit me perfectly. It only took a few fittings, and they tried to keep the costs down as much as possible. The prices were very reasonable, and they were very professional and upfront about all the costs. They are also just fun to work with! Your outfit is in good hands here. Cash or check only, and you can save some money by using cash! They can take paypal payments as well.

  I had a complicated dress and I went to SIX seamstresses in Anchorage, AK and none of them were up to the task! In a panic, I called Eltsa right before a business trip to Seattle and they were able to get me in for an initial appointment within 2 days. Then, they worked with me since I was coming from Anchorage to minimize the number of visits. They booked me for an appointment at 10am, and then booked me for the same day at 7pm so they could work on it within the same day. Fortunately, the dress fit almost perfectly when I arrived for my 10am appointment and they were able to make the remaining alterations within the next hour so I could be on my way home to Anchorage early!! In addition to their customer service and flexibility, the sewing itself with perfect and the dress looked like it was made for my body. Plus, the girls were entertaining and fun!

  I arrived on Eltsa’s doorstep with two dresses, the one I had purchased off the rack and the dress my mother wore at her wedding. It was a very special project for me, seeing as I had lost my mother to cancer a few short months prior to starting my dress transformation, but Margo & Marina listened to my vision and helped me recreate it along the way until my wedding dress was a perfect compilation of mine & my mother’s.
  
  The dress I had originally purchased had a beautiful lace bodice but it had a one shoulder top, full of feathers and flowers… beautiful, but not my style. I wanted that one shoulder dress converted into a halter dress, and the material we used to make that halter transformation happen… the pearl belt off my mother’s dress. Her belt became my straps.
  
  The transformation was physically beautiful, but spiritually it was so impactful to have my mother hugging my neck all day!
  
  Thank you doesn’t even begin to express the gratitude I feel for Eltsa’s staff. They made a dream of mine come true! They do incredible work!

  Less than a week out from my daughter's wedding we realized the beaded bodice on her strapless wedding dress needed to be taken in. The bridal shop owner was out of the country and we needed help. At first we tried a local dry cleaning place we had worked with; at first they said it would cost several hundred dollars, then said they couldn't do it. After reading Yelp reviews my daughter found Eltsa Custom Sewing. When she called the lady couldn't believe her wedding was the following weekend and miraculously agreed to help. When my daughter put on the dress for the fitting the seamstress pointed out that the hem should also be adjusted, but said simple snipping would do the job and not damage the dress. My husband and daughter went back to pick up the dress two days before the wedding, after work hours, and were moved to tears (of joy!) by the beautiful result. We received nothing but compliments on our daughter's appearance at the wedding, and it would not have been possible without the efforts of the wonderful people at Eltsa. And the price was amazingly low (not several hundred dollars).

  Margo is absolutely amazing, and I feel so lucky that I found her!! I swear she is Seattle's best kept secret when it comes to wedding dress alterations. Hands down, she is one of the best vendors that I worked with. First of all, I only had a 2 week window for getting my dress altered. Margo did the initial fitting and the final fitting in a week and a half! Most importantly, the final product is beautiful. I purchased an expensive lace dress, and Margo helped me to figure out the areas that needed tailoring (which were not even close to the areas I assumed needed major renovation). Another plus is that you know who will be working on your dress. When you take your dress to some of these tailoring companies, you have no idea who will be altering your dress. Margo has years of experience and was put on this earth to do custom tailoring. A huge bonus, is that Eltsa tailoring is VERY reasonable. I have heard bridal nightmares, where seamstresses ruin expensive dresses and then charge $600+!! Margo charges 1/2 this amount, and she will not let you walk away with a product that you are unhappy with! If you want to feel like a million bucks in your dress, visit Elsa's Custom Sewing in Greenlake.

She did a consultation with me and sketched out my idea, and gave me an idea of price range, which seemed very reasonable. I figured - why not give it a shot? - and I am so glad I did. I love my wedding dress, and I got so many compliments on it! (I'm sad I don’t get to wear it again!) It was beautiful, classy, unique, it fit incredibly well, and it was so special to have a dress that was made for me and that I participated in creating.
  
  Margo is a pleasure to work with - I appreciated that she offered her opinions about design options, but the ultimate decisions were up to me. I'd recommend that you start working with her EARLY so that you and she aren't rushed.   Margo is amazing! I am so glad I was able to have her alter my wedding dress! I had bought it used and just didn't quite fit me right. Margo was able to make it fit beautifully! She not only does great work, but she is also incredibly friendly and affordable. I would highly recommend taking your dress here to get altered, or have her make one for you!

  Margo was the BEST! I wanted her to make the dress of my dreams and she did - for the same price as what I was looking to buy off the rack at the bridal salons. My dress is amazing and I am so grateful that I found Margo. She is honest and reliable and makes the whole dress designing process FUN. I would recommend her to anyone - if you want to design your own dress from scratch or if you just want some alterations to the gown that you already bought. Go see Margo!   I went to Margo (Eltsa) after unsuccessfully searching for a wedding gown and with time running out (bridal stores all wanted to charge me a rush fee because I visited them 3 months before the wedding). I told her a few things about fabrics and styles, shapes and details that I liked, showed her pics of dresses I had found online, and by the end of that time she had drawn 2 dresses for me to choose from, combining all those elements and what she saw of me in this first half-hour. Then she set the next appointment to do the fitting, then she came with me to buy the fabric and even helped me find a good deal online for the chiffon fabric. Every time I went to see her the dress was getting more interesting, as she got inspired and added braiding, pleating, chiffon flowers here and there... I was amazed. I didn't expect to ever find a dress like the one she made for me. She looked at me and saw what would look good on me, then made suggestions like on how to do my hair and make-up. She also provided the necessary encouragements when I was too stressed out!
  People won't stop complimenting me on my dress, I'm very sad I only got to wear it on my wedding day.

  It was such a joy to work with Margo! From the beginning I felt totally comfortable with her and confident that she would make my wedding dress dreams a reality. She made me an active participant throughout the entire process and never made a decision without consulting me first. The night I went over to pick up my dress, I realized I had made a huge mistake in my last appointment. I told her I wanted sleeves that were about twice as big as I had actually imagined they would be. She told me I was not leaving until I was completely happy and then spent 2 or 3 hours with me that night fixing the sleeves. She stayed true to the (very reasonable) price she quoted me at the beginning. I have zero regrets about choosing Margo as my dress maker and you won't either!

  Eltsa Bridal Design Studio did the most amazing job creating the wedding dress of my dreams. My dress was everything I could have hoped for. I don't have normal wedding dress tastes and was struggling to find anything close to what I wanted in over 10 stores. When I visited Eltsa she helped draw out exactly what I wanted for a very reasonable price. She was flexible with my busy schedule and willing to let my family and friends come participate in my dress-making. My wedding was a dream come true and to this day people comment on the beautiful and uniqueness of my dress.

  Margo was my last hope for a perfect dress. I already had my wedding dress but it was not perfect yet. Margo was very nice, professional and quickly made my fancy ideas come true. She had a good understanding of what I wanted and also made some helpful suggestions of what I needed. I am very thankful. I would recommend Margo to all brides.

  Upon engagement,I began looking at shops for a wedding dress and found it very difficult to find one that fit me properly, that I liked, and that I could afford. Margarita was referred to me as someone to consider making my wedding dress. Before I made a decision, Margarita spent time with me looking at the pictures I brought and listening to what I wanted. She also shared her insights about different materials, cost, and style that would suit my needs.
  
  I decided to have Margarita make my wedding gown and throughout the process she and I continued to work together to come up with a dress that was perfect for my situation and desires. I found her to be a careful worker, making sure everything was just right; things that I would not have even noticed were adjusted or fixed to ensure quality work beyond what the eye first sees. I was greatly impressed with her ability to look at a picture and make the dress without a pattern, changing things as necessary to match our decisions in terms of style and material.
  
  Upon completion, the dress fit me perfectly and I was reminded of the trials I had encountered at the wedding shops. I am very thankful to Margarita for her hard work both in terms of listening to my needs and ideas for my dress, and then in actually making the dress become reality through her seamstress work. She was willing to be flexible with my changing ideas and helped me along the way to develop exactly what I wanted--a dress of simplicity and elegance. I am confident in Margarita's abilities as a seamstress and recommend her without reservation.

  Eltsa's was amazing! They are willing to give their professional opinion, which I appreciated. Always explained the process as we were going and let me know my options for different ways of altering (while always explaining the price difference as well). My dress fit me like a glove when it was all said and done and I got soooo many compliments and I felt beautiful!!

  Two dress alterations

  We are two brides and we both got our alterations done through Eltsa. They did a great job fitting everything to our bodies, taking care of our hemming, bustling, and some more significant lace alterations on one of the dresses. They worked quickly and the work was quality.

  This lady is a perfectionist which is important when it comes to your wedding dress! A fair prices for the alterations needed for my dress (shortening the length and adding the bustle). The work looked good and she is very hardworking.
