We had a room block for our wedding at the Embassy Suites. All of our guests had nothing but good things to stay about the hotel and the staff!

The Embassy Suites was a wonderful place for my wedding reception. The staff was friendly and quick to answer my questions. The location is great and they have an airport shuttle. The food was delicious and the price was a good value after researching many venues in the triangle area. Several of my guests were here from out of town and were able to book their rooms at an affordable rate with that was offered. We also enjoyed being able to gather in there very large atrium before and after the wedding.

The Embassy Suites helped me create an absolutely beautiful reception. The people there are extremely helpful and prompt in getting back to you. I invited about 300 people and a little over 200 attended and the event planners (I had two people helping me) didn't blink an eye when the number changed the night before. Throughout my reception, Paula was there to handle all the details and move the evening along. It was phenomenal and the food was SO GOOD. Everyone raved about the food - especially the chicken! I loved that everything happened in one room - the eating, dancing, getting drinks from the bar, etc. It made everyone feel like a big part of the night, as opposed to having family and the bridal party in one section and friends and friends of friends in another section. It was wonderful!

    Reception was awesome!
Our coordinator went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted.
he had everything planned and running so smoothly - from the table set up and center pieces to the bartender making sure I was never without a drink- all I had to worry about was having a great time.

This is a great location if you have a lot of out of town guest, which we did. It's a beautiful atrium hotel. The rooms are fantastic and the hot continental breakfast is amazing. Katrina made the process easy and was always available for all of my questions. The food was AWESOME and they were very accommodating to our guest who had special dietary needs.

The only negative we had was that there was a large convention going on next to our reception and apparently some if them were enjoying our cocktail hour. It was hard to keep the two separate.

Very helpful, even allowed me to store my home-made centerpieces in their offices before the wedding. A bit expensive, but lots of options they'll help you choose from. Everyone had a great time at the reception we held here.

The catering department was incredible. Our guests also stayed at the hotel and the reservation dept was a pure MESS. They lost reservations and the front desk refused to hand out our hospitality bags, even when our guests asked for them!! Would recommend the hotel for a function, but they need some help catering to the guests of the wedding!!

Like the hotel and the food was excellent, but the service left something to be desired. They didn't start setting up the room until like 2 hours before we were supposed to be there... my family ended up covering the chairs, moving tables and placing all the center pieces because the coordinator was no where to be found and the workers didn't know where anything was supposed to go.

While the venue was beautiful, the food was awful. The chicken was so dry, it was inedible, even though we brought up these concerns during our tasting. The salmon was also very dry. They ran out of mashed potatoes and served us the wrong vegetables.

However, the bartender was great and the desserts were tasty too.

We chose The Embassy Suites to host our religious ceremony and rehearsal dinner in December 2013 due to its proximity to our second venue. Its convenience for our guests is about the only compliment I can give this venue.

The catering/event planning staff are extremely difficult to work with. Often, I had to send multiple emails and then follow-up via phone for answers to basic questions. To add insult to injury, our point of contact would then only respond to the initial email, even if I requested a call back, and would not provide complete answers.

Less than 24 hours before our ceremony, our point of contact informed my husband that she would no longer be overseeing our event. She did not introduce him to the new manager, she just said things would be handled. They were not. In fact, we arrived in the ceremony space to find that no one set up the sound system, as promised. Our wedding planner also had to move several pieces of furniture and large potted plants out of the way, too, all of which we were told would be removed by the venue's staff. The bridal party holding room was not sufficiently prepared for us - we arrived to find it locked and the carpets freshly shampooed, meaning the hem of my dress got wet.

We ended up paying more than expected due to some hidden costs and our guests had unpleasant stays. Several reported discourteous interactions with the concierge.

This venue is going to be a headache so avoid it at all costs. In fact, drive across the street and check out the Umstead Hotel & Spa instead. We had our secular ceremony and reception there and were treated like royalty throughout the entire process.
