Wonderful experience, BEAUTIFUL photos!
Emily was an absolute dream to work with! We had a destination wedding in Charleston SC back in May and met her just one week before our big day. My husband and I are both a little squirmy around cameras, and Emily made us feel super comfortable and at ease. Our engagement shoot was beautiful, Emily picked a gorgeous spot on Folly Beach and even let us bring our Golden Retriever, Waffles. We had so much fun and loved getting to know her before our big day. The wedding itself was even better, Emily and her team were a seamless part of our big day. She was able to wrangle our crazy family and friends to get the shots we requested, and more. We were in awe with all the photos and are still gushing over them. Her candids were our absolute favorite. She captured us both and our personalities so well and got great shots of our guests too. Thank you so much, Emily!!!!! -

Amy at Mac & B is the best thing to happen to our wedding! Now that it is over I miss her and her great spirit, organizational skills, and just overall kindness and coolness. We did not worry about ONE thing during our wedding. I'm not even sure what happened behind the scenes, but I finished getting ready and walked into a fairy tale. She guides you through the whole process seamlessly, keeps you on track, and responds IMMEDIATELY to any questions you have. Amy is that spirit you want in your life, and my husband and I consider her a friend now. Can't recommend enough! -

Emily did a wonderful job capturing our memories on our wedding day. We were married on 8/24/19, and I am finally getting around to writing reviews for the amazing team that created such a perfect day! When I look back at the photos, I am brought back to happier times of family and friends that have come together to celebrate love. Emily’s photos created a whimsical elegance that I will always be grateful for! I thank her and her team so much for our lovely photos! I am so happy we went with her for our wedding photography capturing memories to last a lifetime! -

She does a great job finding spaces for the photos and she was there to capture all of the important moments throughout the night! We could not be more pleased with her service and excited to have these photos as reminder of our magical night forever! -

C Sent on 07/10/2012I can't say enough wonderful things about Emily. She was a joy to work with. We booked her about 10 months out and then moved out of state and she was really cool about everything--even working in our engagement shoot just 3 days before the actual wedding. She's very calming and laid back and is definitely the kind of person who makes you wish you lived in Charleston fulltime so that she could become your friend (as if I needed another reason to wish I lived in Charleston).
At the wedding itself, she walked that perfect fine line of being very present but inobtrusive. We were a laid back group of people and I told her that I didn't really want many posed pictures or anything. We got the posed shots done (and they looked really natural and lovely) and then the rest of the night she seemed to be everywhere at once--without ever being in anyone's way at all.
And finally, the pictures themselves. I love them! I've never felt so pretty and I adore all the wonderful shots she got of people talking and dancing. She clearly has a great eye for light and natural beauty and she also got several of the artsy photos of food and our rings etc (which I didn't even see her taking but that I'm glad she did). Most of all, I think she has a natural talent for taking portraits and catching people looking natural, warm, and happy. This, all while not missing a single big moment or ever once distracting us on the big day by asking us to freeze or do anything again.
In sum, I 110% recommend Emily.

p.s. My only minus 1/2 star on responsiveness is because she does take a few days to get back to emails. This was fine and not a big deal to me, but, in the interest of keeping wedding wire as accurate as possible, I had to note that. For me, I was thrilled that she's probably out there taking so many photos and editing them that she isn't instantly replying to all emails immediately same day and she never was more than 2 or 3 days in replying, so I didn't really care, but I wanted to make sure I noted why I didn't give her 5 out of 5 full stars. (Really though, I think she deserves like 12 out of 5 stars--she was that awesome)
