We hired Emily pretty quickly after picking out our venue and wedding planner last year. We first met in Feb 2021 for our engagement photoshoot downtown and were put at such ease by her calm and cool demeanor. Her eye and vision matched exactly what we wanted in those engagement photos and for what we wanted for the day of. I love the use of light and soft colors in her photos; I also adore the black and white photos she also includes with your gallery. Emily was awesome on our wedding day; we worked through being slightly behind schedule for our family portraits pre-ceremony and managed to make up time and have the perfect sunset/golden hour photos after the ceremony. She also captured moments that weren't included in our videographer's film, which made our gallery even that much more special. As a bride, feeling my most beautiful version of self on my wedding day was equally captured by Emily's work and we are so grateful and happy she was our wedding photographer! Thank you!! -

Where do I even start. Emily is simply amazing, kind and professional. Not only her communication but her attention to detail was on point. The timing and quality of the photos were exceptional. We enjoyed working with Emily during our engagement through our wedding day. We would 100% recommend Emily Meeks Photography to anyone in the Charleston area. We look forward to having Emily capture family photos in the future.
We couldn't thank Emily enough for being part of our special day and to have such memorable photos for to look back on for a lifetime. -

Emily is incredibly prompt, professional and takes stunning photos! She photographed our actual engagement, engagement photo session and wedding day. I am in love with her work. She carefully finds the right light and her photos come out naturally beautiful. On our wedding day she was even helpful corralling bridesmaids and calming us all down. The best! -

Emily is amazing!
I had such a great experience working with Emily!! When my fiancé and I met her for engagement photos, I knew we had made the right choice. Emily is a genuine and friendly person who was easy to work with. My fiancé and I were nervous we would feel awkward, but Emily guided us through the poses/locations easily and made us feel comfortable.
Our small destination wedding took place at Gadsden House. Emily and her assistant did an incredible job of capturing everything from decor details to special moments with family. I appreciated that she worked closely with my wedding planner to coordinate timing so the whole day progressed seamlessly without feeling rushed.
The photos were delivered on time through an online gallery. It was simple to download pictures and I liked that I could easily share the link with family so they could access the whole album. I feel so lucky to have found Emily! Because of her, I have pictures that I love that my family and I can treasure forever.

Nicole Sent on 09/23/2018Whatever you are doing BOOK EMILY MEEKS RIGHT NOW!!! Emily is a photography goddess. We booked her for my August wedding and besides marrying my husband, it was the best decision I've made. Her talent is unparalleled. I am super high maintenance with pictures and had crazy high expectations. Emily absolutely blew my expectations out of the water! She understood what I wanted before I even had to explain it, and she had even better ideas I never would have thought of. I was nervous about certain insecurities with myself. When I voiced them to Emily, she told me I was beautiful, but she would make sure she caught all of my best angles. And she truly did! There is not a single picture where I felt anyone looked bad (and I'm notorious for making someone retake a picture of me). Every picture captured each person's beauty and best qualities. My husband can be shy, but she caught all of his reactions I never would have noticed without her.
Emily is also one of my favorite people in general. She's easily one of the most likable people you will meet. I fell in love the moment I met her. My husband HATES pictures. I literally have to bribe him to take pictures with me. With Emily, he felt at ease from the first snap of her camera. At the end of our engagement session, he couldn't stop talking about how much he enjoyed himself which is unheard of.
Get the biggest package you can! I promise years from now it will be the best decision you make. After the engagement pictures, I was floored with how stunning they were. After the bridal portraits, I just knew there was no possible way she could duplicate how amazing she made me look. I've only received a sneak peek of my wedding photos, but I'm convinced Emily photo shopped all of our faces onto bridal magazine pictures. The lighting with the pop of colors she got are out of this world. If Emily offered to photograph my everyday life, I would hire her. I will never be able to truly thank her for the gift that she gave us! -
