  Fantastic experience and photos

  We cannot say enough about how easy and great it was to work with Emily. She is incredibly responsive, helped ease our frazzled nerves on the big day, and most importantly is a fantastic photographer. We were recommended Emily by a friend and after our first call knew we wanted to work with her - it is a decision we do not regret. She was very transparent about pricing and timelines, and delivered the photographs ahead of schedule -- they look so great! We were excited to share them with friends and family and are now just stuck trying to decide which to print for ourselves to have around the house -- the quality is just too good to make it an easy choice.

  Unsurpassed excellence

  As the mother of the bride, this was the second wedding in our family and finding Emily to do the photos was fortuitous. She brought amazing professionalism and artistic quality to our event. She knew exactly what family photos we would want without imposing on the party. Our entire family cherishes the beautiful memories she recorded that evening.

  Emily Merrill is such a talented photographer and truly a wonderful, lovely person to have as part of your wedding day! Your search is over! We had such a great experience with her. She's great at giving direction and helping you relax and be yourself in front of the camera. None of our photos look overly posed. Everything and everyone looks natural and her use of light is fantastic. The framing and composition come naturally to her. Her style is unique yet classic at the same time. We loved the mix of classic portraits and candids. Black and white were a bonus too! Your wedding day is stressful and timing is everything. Emily was able to quickly pick out the best settings and background for our photos and captured everything on my list all before the ceremony! It was great to have the family and bridal photos done so that after our "I Do's" we were able to focus on our wedding portraits. She had so many great ideas for us and I was completely blown away by my emotions when I saw the results. Her photos look rich, alive, and you can truly feel the love and happiness from your day when looking at them. You can tell she is truly passionate about capturing people just as they are. I cannot recommend her enough. Such a gem. Thank you, Emily!

Let's face it, planning a destination wedding can be very stressful. It was obvious from our first meeting with Emily that she understood exactly what our vision was for our wedding. You can see how much she loves what she does! I worked with Emily closely via email on what turned out to be a very long shot list. On the day of our wedding she hit the ground running and captured every single shot on my list and more. Words can not express how much we LOVE the moments she captured from our wedding day. Moments which we can now treasure always!  Working with her was an absolute joy!  We didn't just receive amazing wedding photos, we got to meet a truly talented artist who we now consider our friend!   Emily Merrill!!!! She is an absolute gem. My wedding day lives on in our lives because of her and the incredible photographs that she took. She covered every detail of that day and I can't believe how many sweet moments she caught because I never even noticed her there in the background! Stolen kisses and teary smiles, parents and distant friends all caught in a seemingly effortless way. She was an absolute joy to have at our wedding and she is someone I will call again and again for pictures in the future. She was incredibly professional and made sure to get details from me about photographs that I hadn't even considered until she asked me about them. There are details she covered that I would have forgotten to tell her about and I'm so grateful for her solid recommendations. She was responsive to any questions I had and she was incredibly well prepared at the event itself. I recommend Emily without hesitation, with full fledged enthusiasm in fact! THANK YOU EMILY!   Emily Merrill photographed our wedding at Viansa Winery in Sonoma and she was absolutely amazing! From the moment we met her we knew that we wanted to work with her. Aside from her unbelievable talent and love for what she does....she is so easy going and fun to work with. She took amazing photos from start to finish and you hardly noticed that she was taking your picture. She is very creative and gave us unique, artistic photos.
