We recently had the pleasure of having CJ as the DJ for our wedding, and we cannot express how thrilled we are with his outstanding service! CJ went above and beyond to make our special day even more memorable.
CJ's attention to detail was impeccable. From our initial meeting to the actual event, he took the time to understand our musical preferences, the flow of the ceremony, and the atmosphere we wanted to create. His meticulous planning truly set him apart and put us at ease for the wedding day.
His professionalism was evident throughout the entire process. CJ was punctual, well-prepared, and seamlessly coordinated with our location and vendors. His ability to read the crowd and adjust the playlist accordingly kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night.

CJ was hands down the best DJ we've ever worked with! Planning was a breeze with him, and he kept us in the loop every step of the way. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour and the reception, everything was PERFECT. Our guests were on their feet all night, saying it was the best wedding music they've heard at a wedding in years. If you want someone who will guide you from start to finish, listen to and execute every detail, and totally rock your wedding, CJ is your guy! DJ CJ is the GOAT! He is professional, fun, and easy to work with. All it took was a 30 minute chat the week before our wedding and everything was perfect. He picked songs we loved that fit our style. He seamlessly blended classic and new, country and pop, to create a perfect dance party. All night long people told me how amazing the DJ was as they got down on the dance floor! -

DJ CJ was the best DJ we could have had for our wedding! The dance floor was full the whole night and he played exactly the variety of music I was looking for. My guests have been raving about him since! CJ was also really easy to work with, very professional, and organized. The BEST wedding DJ!
CJ was our wedding DJ and he exceeded our expectations! He was very prompt in responding to any questions we had prior to our pre-consult phone call, extremely organized in providing a worksheet to fill in all music logistics, and was thorough in ensuring the music was precisely played for our religious ceremony. I had a more special request for CJ during my mother-daughter dance to honor my dad who had passed away, and CJ knew exactly how to mix two songs and offered a suggestion that made the moment just perfect. CJ took all of our requests but we also trusted his expertise when it came to cocktail hour/dinner music along with reading the room during the reception, and he did not disappoint in keeping the party going!! Highly recommend! -

As a wedding vendor and musician myself, I can say that CJ is the best DJ I've encountered--and at such a reasonable price, too! After meeting with 10 different DJ vendors, I booked him back in late 2022 for our September 1 2023 waterfront wedding on the Chesapeake, and he has since stayed communicative, and also sent us promotions and deals we could take advantage of for add-ons such as uplighting, cold sparks, party lights, etc. Not only was Entertainment Excellence the best bang for our buck, but now that our wedding is over, we cannot stop talking about how incredible CJ was.
He mixes songs incredibly well so that there's no mismatch in beats/rhythms - this was the biggest deal for me. There's been a lot of DJs I've encountered where they'll have clunky transitions, or they'll play the beginning parts of songs where there's no beat, which makes people leave the dance floor because of the 'downtime.' CJ made sure that did not happen!
In the early stages of planning, he will send you a spreadsheet template that has everything he needs from you. I gave him Spotify playlists that I had compiled myself for cocktail hour, for dinner, and for the reception dancing. (Note: he does use non-explicit versions of songs, so if you happen to have explicit versions, he'll find the clean version for you, or do the mixing well enough that expletives are not heard!).
I did not hire a wedding planner and did all the planning myself, and CJ was actually instrumental in helping me with the event flow. He made the effort to track me down to make sure my husband and I were ready for the next thing in the event before he announced them, from party entrances to special dances (e.g. father/daughter or mother/son dances) to speeches.
Our wedding was 5:30pm-10pm, and though we only booked him for cocktail hour (6-7pm) and reception (7-10:30pm), he let us use his mics for the ceremony beforehand. His mics were high quality - NO feedback, static, or poor volume balance, which was critical during our vows and the speeches. Our cocktail hour was outdoors on a rooftop, and the reception was indoors, and he was able to set up for both areas for a seamless transition.
The two vendors we could not stop raving about were our photographer/videographer and our DJ. They will make or break your wedding experience, in my opinion. Hire CJ & Entertainment Excellence for your DJ/emcee services! Everyone was impressed with how smoothly our wedding went, and although I'd like to take credit for having planned the wedding myself, I know that a lot of it had to do with CJ and his event pacing. I'm extremely happy with Entertainment Excellence and CJ's services. -

If you want every person from different generations to have a great time and enjoy the party, look no further and hire CJ!
We hired CJ for our big wedding day, great decision. CJ created a space to feel inviting and warm with his uplighting and the music he curated made our guests stay on the dance floor! Our guests were genuinely enjoying the entertainment throughout the entire evening and complimented CJs choices, style, mixing and his approach of handling requests.
CJ was there through the whole process and we totally trusted him and felt like he was right there with us to make it the best day ever!
Thank you CJ, see you at our 25 year anniversary!

We cannot recommend Entertainment Excellence enough! CJ was professional, communicative, organized, and fun throughout the whole process. He helped plan our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance playlists. When we didn't know what we wanted to play, he helped us fill in the gaps. The uplighting added the perfect touch to our reception. Our guests had a blast all night long! CJ will not disappoint. He is the best of the best! -

CJ did such an amazing job at our wedding with music. Our venue and photographer even asked for his information to pass on to future brides because they said he did such a great job! His communication was clear and quick which led us to have full trust in him for making our playlist. He made some amazing edits and suggestions for us. CJ also took the time to get to know us and based that time on making song choices and suggestions. We highly recommend CJ and his upbeat personality!
