Seamless!!
Nothing could have gone better when working with Erica! She gave my husband and I all the information we needed immediately when we reached out to her so there was no worry going forward with our planning. She kept checking in to ensure we were comfortable with how the ceremony would go and it made us feel so secure with our decision. Erica let my husband and I completely customize our ceremony so our guests heard exactly what we wanted to say and that was a dream. Something else that I have noticed that Erica made sure to do was, as soon as we were announced as husband and wife she stepped to the side so our photos are clearly my husband and I at the altar, under our arch and the photos are amazing. I have seen in the past that some officiants do not move and therefore are in the photos of the bride and groom’s first kiss. I felt it was very respectful and thoughtful for her to step aside at that time so we can look back at that kiss and see only ourselves until the shot. The day was 100% perfect and she was a HUGE contribution to how amazing the entire process was for us. Thank you Erica! -

We're so glad we went with Erica to facilitate our intimate ceremony.
While we had to push our celebration with family and friends to this year, we decided we wanted to keep our date to get married anyway. After going through the process of getting a marriage license via Zoom, we started our search for an officiant and reached out to Erica.
Erica was very kind, communicative and knowledgeable, plus well connected in this area, helping with some of the local logistics.
She worked with us to create a personalized ceremony and did a wonderful job facilitating this special moment the day off.

Erica was the officiant for ceremony. We didn’t have personal vows (we exchanged letters before the ceremony), and we aren’t religious either, so I was a little worried that there wouldn’t be much to say during the ceremony itself. But Erica put my fears to rest! She was articulate and the words she spoke were beautiful, and her calming presence at the altar was wonderful. She also incorporated my handfasting cord, which I was very grateful for!

Erica was such a pleasure so patient and kind as Erica arrived on time but my bride to be and I were still getting ready for the ceremony. 1. Erica mixed me up in email with another bride - thankfully I caught that.
2. She wouldn’t let me review the vows/ceremony in advance or ask me anything about us - it wound up being something I really didn’t like much (generic and not “us”). Disappointing.
3. We didn’t have a rehearsal because she had an emergency - which is sad and things happen - but I didn’t get her email that she supposedly sent, nor did the hotel get her call, nor did I receive a call either - so our family was waiting out in the rain for her. That was unfortunate but she DID make the effort to be there on the wedding day.
4. She mispronounced my daughters name. That one was embarrassing and kind of hurtful - and something any professional should be asking the bride groom about in advance. I’ll never forget the look on everyone’s faces.
Listen...I don’t like to write bad reviews but this was not a good experience for me - and isnt the ceremony supposed to be the most important?Erica McCabe's reply:
I do apologize that you feel the services provided were not to your liking. The day was ultimately supposed to be about you and I apologize for not meeting your expectations.
I will respond briefly to some points:
1. Jan. 6, I requested the names and pronunciations of your party. I pronounced the name as the actress, per your request.
2. On Aug.21 you emailed me a very succinct email asking what time I would be arriving, a month prior to your wedding. I naturally assumed you were the bride for the wedding I had scheduled the very next day.
3. As a single mother, I did assume you would be understanding. I emailed you two hours in advance from Urgent Care and responded via text as soon as you contacted me. I arrived 2.5 hours early to confer with the staff and both you and your husband. I did email you on September 11, to confirm, which hopefully, shows my intent to be present at the rehearsal. I walked through the ceremony with everyone well in advanced.
I did also respond, fairly swiftly to all emails. I do not offer the services of going through the vows, like I mentioned and I did personalize the vows to your particular ceremony. I apologize again, that you felt as if it were genetic, but it was a ceremony I had crafted for your day.
I do hope that you enjoyed your honeymoon. The wedding license will be coming from the county, as I mentioned and I do not control the rate at which it is returned to you.
