    Thanks for the great wedding and honoring vets

    I had called ERDC about my son's wedding last year. I spoke with Valery and James and both of them always were so attentive to detail and always answered my calls, and if I could not reach either of them, someone always called me back. I rented a tent, table and chairs and they gave me a fair price and threw in a good discount because of my son's service in Iraq. On the day of the event, 2 crews came and set up a 40x80 tent with lights. I had a little bit of a problem communicating with the crew, but James and the team sorted that out. Event went flawlessly. My son and I could not be more pleased. Thank you for the excellent service and for honoring us.

    Nice Clear Tent For Wedding

    Thank you ERDC for making my wedding a reality! Honestly, they were the only vendor that actually picked up the phone and took my call. Everyone else blew me off. I wanted something chic and elegant for my wedding and I had asked for a clear tent. James was very friendly and guided me through the whole process. In the end I decided to go with the 30x20 clear tent with hanging lights and some cocktail tables for my guests. The tent looked wonderful with the lights. The crew was on time and even helped me move some of the furniture in my yard! I tipped them each $20 as well. Overall, great service, very nice price, cool tent and I am so happy I called them.

    Actually Cared About My Wedding

    My new husband and I recently got engaged. Both of us are hardworking but sometimes budgets can be tight. I called ERDC because they had great reviews and because I had heard that they had helped many couples like me, who don't necessarily have the most money. I spoke with Mille, and she was extremely understanding of my situation. She did not ignore me because of my small order. I had asked for 100 chairs delivered to the DC war memorial. Millie initially quoted $1300 because of the difficulty of delivery, but she worked with my budget to bring it just under $1000. I truly appreciate this.

    Honest Vendor

    I had called Event Rentals and 2 other companies for a quote for my big day. I told everyone that I had 100 guests and I needed a tent large enough (but not too large) to accommodate the guests. Out of the three companies, one comp never responded, the other company tried to oversell me on a tent that was too big. I only found that out when I spoke to James and he explained to me that I only needed a 20x80 tent max, not a 40x80. Instead of paying over $5000, I paid around $2300 and went with ERDC.

    Made My Wedding Beautiful

    ERDC is a hidden gem in the DC area. I had heard of them before, but had not used them previously. However, I decided to give them a try for my wedding. My fiancée had found a 10% off coupon online. I called in, and sure enough they redeemed it. It saved us several hundred dollars! We decided to go with a clear top tent with string lights. My only small gripe was that the lights weren't bring enough but that's ok--Everything else looked so beautiful on our wedding day, especially at night. I could not be more pleased with how smoothly the rental experience was.

    Professional and Well Priced

    I used ERDC for our vow renewal this year. I worked with Valery and James. They both were professional and explained everything to me in an easy to understand way. Their tent was a kind of out of my budget but James actually gave me a great deal and made it work. Thank you so much!

    Accommodated Last Minute Wedding

    My new husband and I had reserved a venue and place settings from another vendor in 2019 for our wedding in 2020 which got postponed to 2021. Because of covid the previous vendor did not honor our deposit. We panicked and we called around and ERDC was the only company able to squeeze us in, despite the fact that they were pretty much full. James and Millie were great to work with. The crew was on time and helpful.

    Spanish Sales Staff

    I know my English not so perfect and I have a problems understanding some words and I call other party rentals company they not understanding what I am needing. I make a call to EventRentals they have Spanish speaking sail team. Milagro she help me rent a tent for my son wedding. Tent was very nice.

    Affordable but didn't bring half of my order

    I decided to order from Event Rentals DC because their chairs are significantly cheaper than other rental companies in the area and I did not feel like spending a ton of money on chairs. In addition to the chairs, I ordered gold chargers for the table settings at our wedding. On the day of, Event Rentals DC completely forgot to bring the chargers to our event and made no effort to go get the chargers to bring to our event. Our day-of coordinator ended up ordering chargers at double the price from another rental company, who sent them over immediately. The most disappointing part of the process, however, was Event Rentals DC's response to all of this. Nobody from the company reached out to us to apologize or offer a refund, which in my view, should have been done the moment that they realized they messed up. Finally, I emailed them approximately a week and a half after our wedding. At that time, they offered to refund us for the chargers we prepaid for. I told them that I expected them to pay the cost of replacement, which they eventually did and we did receive that amount about five weeks after our wedding. While everything worked out, I do not trust this company as reliable or responsive.

    Avoid this company at all costs!

    NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I made a small order from this company (around $500) and spoke to who I thought was the owner James Hill, as he said he was the owner. He stated one price for delivery over the phone and when I got the quote it was a higher amount, although he knew all the details when he quoted over the phone. However, I was short on time for a planned event so I went forward and ordered the pipe and drapes.

    On the day before the this company brought the flimsiest and most see-through drapes to my venue (even though I ordered opaque drapes in the contract) because they were covering windows. Additionally, the drapes were not the size I ordered. I called James Hill while the delivery men were with me there and he said he would try to fix it and call me back. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK and stop answering my calls as the delivery men just sat there. So I could not accept the drapes and had to cancel entirely.

    To add insult to injury, I had to engage my bank to dispute the charge because they refused to refund my money (for THEIR mistakes). AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

    Chair Rental for Daughter's Weddding at Sequoia Restaurant

    We were terribly disappointed with the dismal, dirty and dangerous quality of the chairs Event Rentals DC delivered to our daughter’s wedding at Sequoia Restaurant in June 2024.

    First of all, the chairs were filthy. We were appalled to learn many of the chairs and cushions were covered in dirt and bird dung. Our wedding planner, with help from Sequoia staff, had to spend over an hour cleaning them.

    What's worse, 3 separate chairs COLLAPSED while our guests were sitting on them. The guests literally fell to the floor! One of these chairs collapsed just before the wedding ceremony started. This of course caused a scene as people scrambled to figure out what happened. (One chair even collapsed under a guest sitting at our table.) Needless to say, a chair suddenly collapsing while someone is sitting on it is a major safety hazard. Many elderly guests attended our daughter’s wedding, and could have been badly injured. We feel lucky that, thankfully, nobody has reported any serious injury, apart from being shaken by this.

    We raised these extraordinary problems with the manager and other staff of Event Rentals. Although our wedding planner told us they initially promised to give us a full refund, they now refuse. We are stunned by their reaction. They don't seem upset that 3 of their chairs had literally collapsed with our wedding guests sitting on them. They acknowledge that they delivered dirty chairs, but say that we should have asked for replacement chairs. There was no time for any delivery of replacements — and that doesn’t address the fact that the chairs collapsed.

    My wife and I are both attorneys, and we are not the kind of customers who make unreasonable demands. Neither of us has even written a negative review before, for any company. However, Event Rentals’ performance here was so sloppy and dangerous that we think it's important to share our experience.
