  Mackie is an intelligent, dedicated, and compassionate person. I loved how attentive she was to me and my daughter. She was always quick on her feet, with sensible reactions in all the circumstances that came up while planning the wedding. She handled all our issues with thoughtfulness and integrity. I would recommend her to other families.

  Mackie was the best thing that happened to me when I began my wedding preparations - without her, I never would have been able to plan the amazing wedding we had. She is professional, organized, and creative (guests are still commenting on how much they loved many of her clever ideas) and is always on top of all of the details. She's always responsive to emails and questions, knows how to roll with the stresses of planning, and is an absolute pleasure to work with, making the whole process a lot of fun. From the beginning, Mackie identified, interviewed and vetted vendors before having me speak with them, helped locate and then took responsibility for ordering dozens of speciality items, identified helpers for the day of the wedding, and coordinated with all of the vendors and the venue so that the wedding day was seamless and beautiful. She looked over contracts, ensured that payments were made on time, and kept comprehensive lists of everything that needed to be done. She was sensitive to our budget concerns, and helped us find the most affordable ways to do all the things we wanted to, helping us negotiate discounts and better rates, and making sure that vendors got things done on time. I felt comfortable with all of her judgments - Mackie has great taste and real eye for fun details, and knows how to pull lots of elements together in clever and sophisticated ways. Her rates were so reasonable that I actually gave her a large bonus because she had earned it!!! I cannot recommend her highly enough!

  We brought Mackie on rather late in the planning process (about 5 months out) when we were seriously in the weeds with our vendors. She came in and organized EVERYTHING and helped us make all the key decisions that needed to be made. Furthermore, she had amazing cost-saving and DIY ideas that truly made our event both elegant and personal.
  Our downtown DC venue turned out to be very difficult to work with (change in management, gaps in the contract, unwritten rules, last minute requirements) and Mackie was our ally the whole way. Her legal background turned out to be a huge help in our situation and we are incredibly grateful for all her help and advice. We only wish that we had brought her on sooner!

  Mackie was a great day-of wedding planner. She brought creative ideas to the table that worked on a budget and looked great, along with enthusiasm. She was thorough, detail-oriented and flexible. She and her team executed the decor we envisioned wonderfully, and everything was taken care of as we'd hoped. I was glad to have her help and would definitely work with her again.

  Mackie Hill was a wonderful planner! We could not have done it without her, especially being from out of state. She made us feel relaxed throughout the entire year of planning, coming up with great ideas that went with the nautical theme we chose. Mackie was always willing to spend time to speak with us on the phone about all things, no matter how small. We loved working with her and we would recommend her very highly to other brides. Thank you, Mackie, for a very successful event!

  Mackie is not only friendly and pleasant to work with she is a true professional.
  She worried about my wedding as if it were her own. I don't like aloof people to work with and she was so down to earth and accommodating it was fun to work with her. She is always about finding solutions to any glitch that might arise. Don't try to do this planning alone it just can't happen and Mackie is the perfect one to guide you through until the end.

  Mackie was extremely helpful to us. She connected Corey and I with amazing vendors, provided contractual advise with our venue. She answered every e-mail and phone call in a timely manner. She juggled her schedule to meet our needs most of the time. She was very pleasant to work with. I rated her a little low on the professionalism scale due to the fact that she was no where to be found when people needed her right before the ceremony was to start. The site coordinator, along with a few other were coming to me asking where she was. Later I learned she had left the wedding site to go back to her hotel room to change for the event. Other than that smal glitch, the wedding couldn't have gone smoother. I would recommend her to other brides.
