My husband and I are at an agreement that getting Jill as our wedding planner was the best decision we made, and the rest built on it.
To start, we only had a very vague ideas on what we wanted (small, intimate family wedding somewhere in Europe, either fall or winter). Jill took this and did an amazing job materializing it!!! She helped compile a huge list of venue options anywhere from the ice hotel in Finland down to the southern tip of Sicily, taking our feedback on what we liked or didn’t like, so that she could come up with the perfect venue. After choosing the venue, she located all the vendors, negotiated excellent prices and ensured that the wedding was a huge success.
Working with Jill was super easy, because I could send her general requests or just a few pictures for my taste (be it in the wedding, in flowers, etc.), and she was able to understand and communicate this to the vendors perfectly. She also understood our tastes and when we were uncertain what to do, she’d make great recommendations to help us out.
Our wedding was a multi day family vacation, with a wedding ceremony for one day. She made sure that the venue was good for such an event, and helped coordinate these efforts as well. We were also quite picky in that we were vegan, and had only 8 people, so pretty much everything had to be custom. For example, on the arrival date we wanted to have a family dinner - Jill worked with the hotel to coordinate a custom dinner for that. Or, when we wanted to go down to the lake area - Jill made sure we had transportation, all the information we needed to make sure everybody was comfortable, and (again) dinner plans were set.
All of our guests agreed it was the best wedding they’d been to and had a wonderful time. Between custom made Michelin Star tasting menus, custom mini wedding cakes, stunning scenery and great activities for everyone, it’s easy to see why.

Renai Sent on 02/27/2018This review is long overdue (wedding was 10.20.17), but I wanted to make sure I shared my experience with Exquisite Weddings & Events! I had decided to plan everything myself to save money (bad idea). About 6 weeks before the wedding I was so stressed out, up to my throat in "things to do." It dawned on me that the only way I could maintain a healthy level of sanity was if I hired a day of coordinator since I had done mostly everything else up to that point.
I wasn't able to meet Jill in person until the wedding because I live in San Diego (wedding was in Yosemite). She was very friendly and professional for our consultation call - I immediately felt like I was comfortable working with her long distance and hired her the next day.
Let me just say, Jill went above and beyond BEFORE the "day of" that I hired her for. Although I had done a lot (so I thought), there was still so much more to do... thank goodness Jill was there to help me! She tied up loose ends with a couple of the vendors that I had been having a hard time communicating with. She stayed on top of keeping in contact with all my vendors regarding any changes, confirming details, etc. She was even so kind as to loan me a few decorations that I couldn't figure out at the last minute.
As soon as Jill got to the cabin on the wedding day, she immediately got to work setting up last minute decorations. I didn't see her again until the ceremony and she did a great job making sure everything ran smoothly. After the ceremony, she went straight to the reception and met all the vendors there to help get everything set up. When the wedding party arrived, it was clear everyone had been taken care of. Needless to say, the rest of the reception was a breeze!
I would highly recommend Exquisite Weddings & Events. If I had to do it all over again, the only thing I would change would be to hire Jill as my full time coordinator rather than day of. For the price, it doesn't get any better! Thanks Jill!!Exquisite Weddings & Events's reply:

Erika Sent on 12/06/2017Jill is amazing! I hired her for partial planning because I had already done some of the big stuff and it was the BEST decision, I made. Jill and her team were professional and went out of their way to make sure our day was completely stress-free: coordinating lots of moving parts with all of the vendors, caterers, DJ, photographer and the venue staff. Delivered with the biggest smile throughout our wedding day!

We have been seriously debating whether or not to leave a review for exquisite weddings and events, but we think it is best to let everyone know our experience. Me and my husband got married back in October 2023. We met Jill about a year and a half before our wedding at a wedding fair in Concord. We wanted a day of coordinator and she seemed really nice so we set up a meeting with her. We had a phone meeting where she talked up her business, basically how she would coordinate our wedding day of and also coordinate all our vendors and make a timeline the month prior to our wedding. She also had some décor we could use which was a plus for us so we could save some money. We signed a contract with her and then didn’t discuss much with her until before the wedding. The first red flag was, in our contract it listed out the dates of our payments. Jill would never reach out about the payments, and I always had to message to see if I needed to make the payment. On top of that, she was very difficult to get ahold of. I would email, call, and text and it would take days to hear back, usually through email. We had an issue with our venue a few months before our wedding and had to completely change to a new venue. I let Jill know about this change and she replied noting the change and said about a month later she would get started on the timeline and everything and to send over all our vendors. I set up a phone call meeting with her about a month prior to the wedding and twice she did not call me for the meeting or when I called she did not answer. I began panicking around this point and she would usually reach out via text or email apologizing and setting something else up. I should have cancelled working with her at this point, however we had paid the majority of what we owed and didn’t want to be out thousands of dollars. She also set up a zoom meeting with me and did show up, and from then on she showed up for meetings we had scheduled so I thought things would be fine. After the meeting she emailed our vendors, and she used a generic message and didn’t change the names in the email to my and my husband’s names and there were spelling and grammar mistakes. I had already done a general timeline with the help of my photographer and sent that over to Jill. She also gave me access to the website she uses to make the timelines so I can make any additions or changes. While she imported everything, I was the one who mostly input the information for the timeline. At this point I also had two zoom meetings with Jill and her assistant Elise. We went over the entire timeline, décor, vendors, catering, dessert, literally everything for the day of the wedding. We went over all the information multiple times, such as they would be putting out bubbles for guests before the ceremony and giving bubble guns to the children at our wedding. I even drew up pictures of how I wanted tables set up for the dessert table, guestbook table, centerpieces, everything. At our rehearsal, I met up with Jill and Elise who were standing off to the side by themselves to introduce myself in person and give them my binder with everything for the day of. We had a lot of people there for the rehearsal and instead of taking charge as the coordinator, both Jill and Elise kind of stayed off to the side while we had to figure out what to do. Jill finally brought everyone to the ceremony site to talk to us, however she didn’t really explain anything properly or do anything to help. Our Officiant ended up taking over to help us rehearse while Jill and Elise stayed off to the side talking to each other. They also ended up leaving the rehearsal without talking to me or my husband. On the day of the wedding my husband let me know that Jill showed up late, even though Elise was there. They did help with setting up here and there, but the majority was done by my husband, groomsmen, and family members. I had also given Jill pages with all of our décor and what needed to be set up where, as well as everything was in labeled boxes with where they were supposed to go. However, multiple things were either forgotten and not put out or things were put in the wrong places. When I arrived and we did our first look and photos with our bridal party, the only thing Jill would do is come over and tell us the time. We were running a little behind in finishing up photos prior to the ceremony, but the way Jill would go about it made us feel more stressed and rushed. I felt so stressed and rushed that I ended up not putting my veil in properly and it came out when I got to the ceremony so I did not get to wear it. Additionally, during the ceremony both Jill and Elise were supposed to signal for each group to walk and which music should be playing. Elise stopped directing people when walking that our ring bearers started walking with our flower girls and I had to call them back to wait. I told Elise at this point that she needed to pay attention and do her job as I was getting increasingly frustrated with them. After the ceremony and family photos I learned our lawn games were not properly set out for guests during the cocktail hour like Jill and Elise were supposed to so they did not get used. After the cocktail hour I talked to both Jill and our caterer since Jill was once again stressing us out about being slightly behind on time from our original schedule. At this point our caterer saw what we were dealing with and she stepped in and actually started coordinating for us. From this point on I don’t think Jill or Elise did much, though I did see Elise put up our floral backdrop and polaroid table for the reception which I appreciated. Our caterer basically did everything else from this point, including calling table by table to dinner, going to the DJ to introduce us for our first dance, bringing us dinner and drinks, checking up on us and other people to make sure everything was okay, setting up the dessert table and calling everyone over for the cake cutting, etc. At the end of the night Jill and Elise did help clean up a bit, but most everything was done by our friends and family. We also had multiple people notice the issues with our coordinator and everyone was confused why they weren’t doing their jobs. Jill and Elise once again left without saying goodbye to us and that was that. We paid thousands of dollars for their services and we did not get what we expected. I am upset about what we had to deal with, but at the end of the day our wedding happened and it was still the best day of our lives. Overall, this wedding did not happen because of Exquisite Weddings and Events, Jill, and Elise. It happened because our friends and family came together to make sure everything got done and our caterer who stepped up to act as our coordinator.Exquisite Weddings & Events's reply:
We apologize that you had a less-than-satisfactory experience with our services. I would like to address a few things. Firstly, I understand that response time is crucial, and I failed to keep up with it. I missed a few appointments, for which I apologized and assured you that it would not happen again. Although, I admit that there was a painful family matter going on, which made it difficult for me to communicate with you properly.
I was excited to work with you for your wedding as the venue was new to me, and you provided me with amazing decor and inspirational pictures. However, from the moment we met the catering manager, we knew we were in for a long day. It was apparent that she was not pleased with anything we did. She raised her voice at my assistant and made it challenging for us to complete our work as we normally would.
We appreciate your feedback and will take your concerns seriously to improve our services for future clients. Although we understand that it does not make up for the past, we assure you that we will note all the issues and ensure they don’t occur again.

I hired Jill and she literally presented herself as a sweet old lady. She worked with me to establish relationships with her vendors of choice and lock me in to contract with them. Her vendors were great and she was too, until covid hit and I lost my job. I asked Jill to work with me on my second payment to her because we were having a hard time, after losing our jobs. Jill told me she understood and to contact her when I was gainfully employed again and we would restart our contract. That was in March 2020 when everything first hit. So unfortunately I didn’t get another job until October 1, 2020 (but during that time in between Jill and I remained in contact and she helped me out with a few things in September.) So anyways October came and as soon as I got the job I called Jill super excited that I’d gotten a job and i wanted to pay her. In fact I wanted to pay her the balance of the contract. However, I never heard back from Jill. So I texted and emailed her several times and got no response for weeks. Then Nov 27th the day after thanksgiving Jill informed me that we’d been out of contract too long and that she no longer worked for me. The women who claimed she understood and would still work with me instantly turned against me and stopped answering my calls, all to say due to covid she will no longer work with me. Then when I offered to change my date she stated she lost too much money this year and would not be able to help me any further. I then asked her if she would send me vendor information so I can reach out and she stated she no longer worked for me. Jill then started yelling at me saying what she’d done for me no other wedding planner would. So I asked Jill to inform the vendors she was no longer my wedding planner and thanked her for her service to us. My feelings are extremely hurt. I thought Jill was a good person and I honestly thought she was a professional if nothing else. But after how she made me feel regarding an occasion that is supposed to be one of the best moments of my life was very distasteful. I never leave reviews but in my opinion how Jill handled me was very wrong and I am very sad about it. If you can, I’d suggest to find another planner because tough times really expose people’s true character.☹️ This year has been extremely hard for everyone but Jill was very mean in the end.
