  Extraordinary Experience!

  Extraordinary Cupcakes was wonderful to work with! We ended up switching vendors to Extraordinary two months out from the wedding, and they were more than happy to accommodate with ease! They confirmed our date right away, and we were able to set up a tasting the next week. The tasting was extremely generous, and they were very helpful in guiding us with decisions about the number and size of cupcakes based on our estimated guest count. They were also flexible with flavors. We loved getting to have 5 different amazing flavors for our guests to choose from! They also made us a small cake for cutting in whatever flavor we wanted, which was a perfect size and ridiculously delicious! We were able to rent stands for the cupcakes and they provided signs for each of the different flavors. They also allowed us to make changes until the last minute without issue. Overall, we were so happy with how accommodating and helpful Extraordinary Cupcakes was. They took care of everything so we didn't have to worry about anything but enjoying the most delicious cupcakes! And they were SO delicious! We just love the flavors they have to offer, like their peanut butter and coffee cupcakes, and getting to have our cutting cake with the coffee flavor and frosting was...the icing on the cake!

  Delicious and efficient!

  We met with Extraordinary Cupcakes during covid and did our tasting, so yummy! There were so many options. I spoke with Peggy through email for a couple of months prior to the event. I paid through the mail and was notified when needed to make sure I had everything. A friend picked up all of our cupcakes and cake!

  So sweet and to die for!

  The cupcakes were so cute and, oh man oh so good! They even customized some of the sugar to match with my wedding colors! They let us choose some flavors and they delivered on time. For a small deposit, you can also rent their REALLY LARGE AND SURPRISINGLY HEAVILY/STABLE cupcake tier. It went perfectly with my wedding colors! There were extra cupcakes and we got to take some home. :) It was delicious and we ate them for days afterward (brought a few on the honeymoon, too, lol)! I loved the flavors and the quantity is definitely large and that's their small size!! There are not some grocery-store run-of-the-mill cupcakes. These are EXTRAORDINARY!

  You will not be disappointed. We had cupcakes at our wedding and our guests STILL rave about how amazing they were. I had a specific type of set up that I envisioned for the cupcake display and when I finally got to see the finished product I was BLOWN away. They did a fantastic job and were amazing to work with.

  Wedding (Cup)Cakes

  Why have a wedding cake when you can have a wedding (cup)cake!?
  I placed a special order for a small wedding ceremony with requests to label the cupcakes and add a little bit of bling to our wedding (cup)cake. Everything was perfect. The guests loved the cupcakes and so did we!
  
  Be sure you eat them the day you buy them, fresh is best :)

  We opted for cupcakes instead of cake at our reception because we love Extraordinary Cupcakes so much, and they did not disappoint! Our guests loved their cupcakes - they were an especially huge hit with the kids. In addition to tasting amazing, they also looked beautiful displayed on the dessert table. We highly recommend Extraordinary Cupcakes for couples planning a Williamsburg wedding!

  I am a wedding planner in the area and I knew of many vendors we could use. Ultimately, we picked Extraordinary because we wanted cupcakes and a small cake to cut and it was our tradition as couple to go weekly to the shop! In working with Kara and the other fabulous staff at Extraordinary, I knew it would be wonderful, but they blew this one out of the water! We had guests who literally took 4-5 cupcakes a piece. They loved them and ate them up (literally)!!! We really couldn't beat the price either. We chose the smaller cupcakes but that was perfectly substantial! I was so impressed with the beautiful cupcake theme sign they came up with and how well they put my vision together. Kara and their staff are the best and I highly recommend them for weddings, events or any other occasion!

  My husband and I decided to have one 6" wedding cake to cut and save for our one year anni, and server our guests cupcakes. We visited a bunch of the cupcake stores within Williamsburg, and Extraordinary Cupcakes won by a landslide. Kara of XC is one of the sweetest ladies I had the pleasure to work with during my planning process. I sent her a picture of a cake I found online and she was able to reproduce it for me! I also sent her a written explanation of what kind of fondants (red mustaches, icicle blue snowflakes, etc.) I wanted on my cupcakes and asked for coffee beans on my coffee cupcakes - and she made it all happen! My only regret is that I didn't order enough of the carrot cake cupcakes!

The theme was travel and distance, and I wanted cupcakes with text bubble decorations as well as a top cake with a couple on their cell phones. They delivered EXACTLY what I wanted! They are very personable and professional. As part of the process, you can try up to five different cupcakes for free -- and we're not talking tastes of cupcakes but full cupcakes. So make sure that you and whoever you bring are plenty hungry! XO also provided the cake tower and platters for all the cupcakes, and set them up before the reception. Loved working with them and highly recommend!

  Great Experience

  My husband and I had a great experience with ordering our wedding cake from Extraordinary Cupcake! We had a lovely tasting, and the team was very responsive and helpful in the weeks leading up to the wedding. The delivery and setup went off without a hitch, and our guests absolutely loved our cake and kept commenting how delicious it was! Very excited to eat our frozen piece on our first anniversary. :)

  Best cake in the area!

  When my husband and I got to the "cake" part of our wedding checklist, we didn't even have to think about who we would call. We live in Williamsburg and have had Extraordinary Cupcakes many (many) times, and their cakes are *truly* extraordinary. We had a small cake to cut and mini cupcakes in six flavors (they have so many flavors, including seasonal ones, with incredible flavor and freshness!), including a gluten-free flavor, and it was all eaten before the end of the reception! We were not surprised at all. We were also able to rent cake and cupcake stands from XO, and they delivered to our venue day-of. It was all a delicious breeze!

  The BEST Cupcakes-No competition!

  Extraordinary Cupcakes was the 5th cupcake/bakery we tried cupcakes from in an effort to find who we wanted to use for our wedding cake and cupcakes. We showed up for a tasting and Pegi took such great care of us! One bite out of each of our tasting cupcakes and we knew we'd found our bakery! There was NO competition to the taste and freshness of the cupcakes we got from Extraordinary Cupcakes! The other vendors we'd tasted cupcakes from didn't even come close to just how good these were, and, they were just as good on our wedding day! The only two slight negatives were that the person who delivered the cake and cupcakes didn't decorate the top of the cake using the flowers we'd provided (and that we'd talked to Pegi about in previous conversations) and the salted caramel cupcakes were so delicious, but the icing had melted so they had flat tops and looked pretty bad (so bad that my coordinator didn't put them out until the end of the night). All-in-all, very minor negatives but make sure to work with Pegi on making it clear what's expected the day of your event.
