  Would recommend to any bride!

  Rachael was so amazing to work with. She and her sister were a fantastic team and ensured the day ran smoothly. My bridesmaids could not stop raving about how much they loved their hair and makeup. They both did a great job of being versatile and responding to everyone's specifc requests. Some wanted full glam, while others wanted a more subtle soft natural glam, and they totally delivered.
  
  I had a trial with Rachael about 4 months before my wedding and had a great experience, but totally changed my mind on my hairstyle. Rachael did an amazing job of pivoting to my new request and making my vision come to life. Both my hair and makeup looked absolutely perfect until 2 am. That's through over 12+ hours of photos, crying, mingling, dancing, laughing... I was so amazed!
  
  If you're looking for a team that is versatile, experienced, and personable, Face of Makeup is the way to go!

  Dream Team!

  Rachel and Tara were absolutely amazing! They were so accommodating to everyone and were such a fun addition to have the morning of my wedding! Everyone was beyond happy with their hair and make up and even better having it last the day/night. Thank you both so much for everything, and I couldn’t be more happy with how it all turned out :)

  Rachael was absolutely amazing to work with! She delivered quality services (both hair and makeup withstood a day of wind and crying tears of joy), was very communicative throughout the whole planning and scheduling process, and was a delight to share our "getting ready" space with (easy to talk with, very personable, remained on schedule). Would highly recommend hiring Face of Makeup!

  The most relaxing, peaceful part of a busy day

  Katie did hair for myself, my mom, and my three bridesmaids. We all have very different hair (including my friend’s super cute, curly mullet!), and Katie did a wonderful job for each of us. The styles stayed all day, even with windy conditions and plenty of dancing.

  Amazing work

  I cannot recommend FaceOfMakeUp enough. I got married a couple weeks ago and Lisa and Katie did an incredible job. I booked with Rachael over a year ago and she was responsive, professional, and super easy to work with! Day of, Lisa and Katie came to our Airbnb to do hair and make up for myself, 4 bridesmaids, and my mother and MIL. They were on time, SO friendly and kind, and worked so quickly and efficiently. Everyone looked so beautiful, I was blown away. They exceeded my expectations! If you are looking for hair and make up in the Salida area, this is who you want!

  Best experience you could ask for!

  We are so grateful to Rachael, Lisa, and Katie for being a part of our wedding day and making everyone who was included in getting their hair and/or makeup done feel beautiful. This team was easily one of my favorite parts of our day and I couldn't believe how flexible and accommodating they were as we had 14 people in the mix. We heard nothing but praises from everyone involved in our wedding party as well, which was so reassuring because that doesn't always happen! We would without a doubt hire Face of Makeup over and over again!

  Perfect choice for our destination wedding

  We worked with Rachael and Katie on my wedding day. They did hair and makeup for 8 people which included moms, sisters, and flower girls. They did a stellar job and had everything they needed to make us feel comfortable, heard, and feeling beautiful. Ours was a destination wedding (we're from Dallas), but I so wish they lived closer so that I could have my hair and makeup done more frequently by them. They brought a nice and calm vibe to our getting ready time, and it felt like they were part of the family/group. I am very picky about my hair, and Katie nailed it. I couldn't have been happier. Rachael's expertise shines through her work, and I was instantly grateful that I had decided to splurge a little on her services. Our entire group was more than satisfied.

  Amazing Elopement Hair/Makeup

  Rachael was incredible. She was easy to communicate with and accommodating of my last minute elopement in Twin Lakes. She was punctual, personable, and in general fun to hang out with while getting ready! She made sure to ask questions about what I wanted my hair and makeup to look like, using reference photos and comparisons. As someone who does not do my hair or makeup hardly ever, I trusted Rachael completely to make me feel my best. She also made my skin look great despite its imperfections. I felt amazing all day! 10/10 recommend!

  Elopement hair and makeup

  Rachael traveled to my rental home where I was getting ready and did my hair and makeup. The makeup was air-sprayed and included lashes, which I requested. The hair included extensions that I purchased. I had an inspiration photo that she worked off of while making accommodations for my coloring and hair type. I was thrilled with how I looked for my special day. I hiked and was active for 8 hours and my hair and makeup lasted all day. Rachael was also responsive and timely throughout the process and a real pleasure to spend two hours getting ready with. I highly recommend her.

  Had the best experience with Rachael at Faceof Makeup. She took care of me, seven bridesmaids and two mothers on my wedding day at the Surf Hotel in BV. Everyone loved their hair and makeup and I got so many compliments on mine. 10/10 recommend!!

  Rachael was so wonderful and fun to work with on my wedding day and beforehand. She’s very prompt, professional and kind and she felt like a part of my friend group immediately! We had a great time doing a hair/makeup trial and the wedding day couldn't have gone more smoothly. Her and Lisa handled our ~10 girls getting hair and makeup done without running behind at all.
  I don't typically wear any makeup, so am always nervous getting it done professionally. Rachael nailed the natural look that accentuated my best features. We also had a very rainy ceremony (outside) and my makeup didn't run or look any worse for the wear.
  Lisa and Rachael work together as a great team. Lisa did my hair while Rachel did my makeup in order to make the process quicker and reduce my time in the chair. My updo was perfect, and also stayed perfectly together throughout the night.
  They are thoughtful and both wonderful people to spend with while making you look your best. Can't recommend Face of Makeup enough!

  Natural, effortless makeup and great communication

  Rachael and her team are beyond wonderful to work with. I had a large group of bridesmaids and moms getting their makeup done before our wedding. Firstly, I was blessed with the ability to not have to wake up at the crack of dawn to fit everyone in. Rachael was able to add in a third artist to help make the schedule super flexible. They were efficient and we had plenty of time for touch ups. She personally did my bridal makeup and hair. I rarely wear makeup and almost never foundation- I was worried about being caught between not looking like myself but not looking nice enough for such a big occasion. She absolutely nailed my look. My hair stayed the entire night and my makeup too- through MANY tears.

  Far Above and Beyond

  Rachael of FaceofMakeup Artistry far exceeded my expectations. She was very responsive from the very first contact. Her skill level is 5 star professional! I can’t imagine a better artist for my hair and makeup. She was even willing and able to accommodate a last minute date change! That never happens. Not to mention she was willing to button me into my dress (since we eloped and had no guests). She was extremely friendly, easy to talk with and very personable. She captured my vision beyond my dreams. I wish I could do it all again, just so I could feel so beautiful and I owe it to her! Look no further for a hair and makeup artist; Rachael is the BEST!

  Originally I planned to do my own hair & makeup for our elopement. At the last minute Rachael was able to fit me in and not only help with hair & makeup but she came an hour into the mountains.
  She was friendly, punctual, and personable. But even better she had the skills combined with top products to make me feel my best on the big day. Both the makeup & updo lasted through 2 miles of hiking at elevation, still looking beautiful at the top of the hike! Hands down would work with Rachael again and so happy with her work for my elopement!

  Rachael with Face of Makeup did a gorgeous job on wedding makeup and hair for my wedding 10/08/22 at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. I could not have been happier with my wedding hair and makeup. My maid of honor looked amazing. Rachael is professional, flexible, and kind. The entire process from hiring to execution on the day of was easy and seamless. If you are looking for wedding hair and makeup in the Buena Vista/ Salida area, Rachael is your woman! You will not regret having her as part of your wedding day team! I am so thankful we were able to work with her on my big day.

  Beautiful, natural looking hair & makeup

  Rachael and her team did mine and my bridesmaids hair and makeup for our wedding and I couldn't have been happier. Everyone looked incredible - the makeup was natural but beautiful and looked the same at the end of the day as it did in the beginning. Everyone's hair was beautiful and stayed as well. I can't recommend Face of Makeup enough, everyone was so happy with how they looked and how everything photographed, thank you Rachael!

Everyone looked incredible - the makeup was natural but beautiful and looked the same at the end of the day as it did in the beginning. Everyone's hair was beautiful and stayed as well. I can't recommend Face of Makeup enough, everyone was so happy with how they looked and how everything photographed, thank you Rachael!

  So professional and amazing!!!

  Rachael and Lisa did my bridal parties hair and makeup and they are such a great team! They are true professionals, made everyone look beautiful and completed everyone's services so quickly. Our hair and makeup turned out beautifully and they were very personal. I struggled to find hair and makeup and they were so accommodating to get me into a trial in short notice during my trip to Salida. 10/10 would recommend!

  Can’t recommend them enough, they were the best!

  Rachael and Lisa were so great to work with. I live in Denver, my venue was in Leadville and they made it so easy for me and the rest of my bridal party! They came up to Leadville and were extremely prompt all while creating amazing looks that everyone was extremely happy with. The make up and hair all felt very natural while still looking elegant and photographed really well. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

  These ladies were so amazing to work with on my wedding day. I had my wedding at the Barn at Sunset Ranch in Buena Vista, Colorado and could not have asked for better hair and make up artists. They are so talented and we’re able to mimic my exact inspiration! Also - they are so sweet and fun which made the experience even better. My bridesmaids and I all loved our hair and make up and were so impressed by their expertise. Highly recommend!!!
