We had an amazing experience with Faces by Emily on our wedding day! A talented artist from their team came in the morning and did the makeup for my mom, sister, and sister-in-law. The results were absolutely stunning, and everyone looked beautiful.
The artist was professional, friendly, and incredibly skilled, making everyone feel comfortable and confident. The makeup lasted all day and night, and we received so many compliments on how great everyone looked.
I highly recommend Faces by Emily for any special occasion. Their team’s expertise and dedication to making us look our best made our day even more special. Thank you for helping to make our wedding day perfect! -

Finding a makeup artist was one of the to-do’s I struggled with the most. Everything about it is subjective, every face is unique and no amount of looking at portfolios would tell me how an artist would make ME look. What one artist could do for another person would be totally different for me so I was very cautious. I knew I wanted a fresh, natural but emphasized look. I wanted my nicest features enhanced and essentially still look like myself but on a very good day.
I feel very fortunate to have found Emily. After thoroughly browsing her portfolio, I saw some brides who share similar features with me so I felt encouraged to inquire. All of the communication was done by email but I never felt that it was lacking as Michelle, her studio manager, replies so so fast and was transparent with all information. I booked a trial a week before my wedding at Emily’s studio. She is so sweet and very talented! I showed her some photos of what I wanted and she was great about interpreting my preferences. She gave me a ton of input on what worked/didn’t work and how to achieve the look I wanted. We tried a few options on my eyes and hair styles and thanks to the trial were able to hone in on a look. I felt very at ease. I wore the look all day for my engagement photos and it aged very well.
On the day of, Emily and Amy arrived early and got right to work. Amy worked on my bridesmaids and gave them a fresh, natural look and fun curls. They all looked lovely - Amy was able to pull it off with no problem. Emily worked on my mom and I. She made the corrections and made me look beautiful, glowy and fresh. Even my bridal updo was stunning and completed that soft, feminine look I was going for. The makeup also aged very well and survived despite wind, drizzle, dancing, food and lots of happy tears.
Really happy I booked Emily and I highly recommend her. She is so worth the investment and it’s a small price to pay for feeling (and looking like) like a million bucks on my wedding day! -

Emily did my hair and makeup for my engagement shoot and wedding day. I couldn't have asked for a better hair and makeup team. Including myself, we were a party of 8 ladies (bridesmaids and one mama). Emily and her team made me and my girls look so glamorous. They arrived on time. They were very professional and finished on time. I couldn't recommend her enough.

Emily & her team are amazing and super talented in what they do. I only interviewed one make up artist and the moment I met Emily, I was SOLD! She is so easy to work with and is super personable. Not only she made me look beautiful, but made me feel beautiful. The day of the wedding, she did such an amazing job on my make up and hair, it lasted all night long and I was glowing. I truly felt like I was a princess :) Her team did my bridesmaid make up and also my parents, and they were SO impressed and after they can't stop talking about how amazing and talented they are. Everyone was so satisfied and appreciative of their work. Emily and her team are exceptional. You will be in good hands, guaranteed! I would pick them all over again with no doubts! -

Emily and her team were AMAZING artists. There were a lot of things I was nervous about on my big day, but my make-up was DEFINITELY NOT one of them because I know I was in the hands of the BEST. I remembered going for a trial with Emily and had absolutely no idea what kind of look I wanted, but Emily was able to design a look for me that blew my mind and it was PERFECT. She is definitely an amazing artist and her team was also able to provide beautiful looks for my bridesmaids and family. I LOVED working with Emily and her team because they were not only there to provide amazing services but they are also very fun girls to talk and work with. She is one of the BEST make-up artists, so BOOK early if you are considering Emily and her team! =) -

I would not have wasted my time writing this review if her service was not that great. Our wedding was almost about a month ago, and finally have the time to comment on her work. Gotta say that my wife and I were VERY PLEASED & SATISFIED that we have chosen Emily. Two thumbs up for her. Enough said...you will not regret it if you choose her as your makeup artist for your Wedding. Lastly, she will not definitely disappoint you!!! -
User1589267 Sent on 04/18/2014Emily was the makeup artist/hair stylist for the Lucky Supermarket 2013/2014 Chinese Lunar New Year Parade float girls. She is punctual, professional, and down to earth.
Her talents brought out the beauty in all six girls as she prepared us for a night of cold and moderately windy weather. Even though we were freezing in traditional chinese qipaos, we couldn't have looked more amazing while shivering! Our makeup lasted through hours in crowds of swarming photographers, stadium bright lights, endless smiles, and boys drooling!
In addition, she has also done amazing makeup for my boudoir shoots and personal projects.
I highly recommend Emily will look forward to working with her again. -

Emily came highly recommended by one of my best friends, who said to me, “Emily will make you feel so beautiful on your wedding day.” I booked her for my large party of 8 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, a flower girl and myself.
I scheduled my trial for the same day as my engagement shoot, and first met Emily when I went to her studio for my trial. She offered me wine and I had SO much fun - we talked about anything and everything, it was like chatting with an old friend. I was sad when it was over because I didn’t want to leave. By the end of it, I couldn’t believe I was looking at myself in the mirror. Emily is seriously a miracle worker, it was hands down the best I’d ever seen myself look. Despite a six hour gap between seeing Emily and doing my engagement shoot, my hair and makeup stayed flawless and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out.
On my wedding day, Emily and her team arrived right on time and quickly went to work. My bridesmaids were all so beautiful and I appreciated how Emily’s team really listened to each girl to give them what they wanted. Both my mom and mother-in-law can be difficult and picky, and I’m so thankful Emily was so patient and understanding, and worked hard to make sure both mothers were satisfied with their looks.
I would highly recommend Emily to any bride, and can’t wait to book her again for future events! -
