    Wonderful service and beautiful results!!

    Had my wedding dress and MOH suit fitting and tailoring done here. Really nice people and they did a PHENOMENAL job!! Not only was my wedding dress PERFECT, but my sister ended up wanting a bit more wiggle room in the pants, so we brought it back and talked with them about adding a glittery fabric pinstripe down the legs. They helped us figure out a fabric (we ran to a nearby Joann's to find something we loved that fit their recommendation) and they made it happen in under a week for my wedding! The folks here are a pleasure to work with and really know the business/craft :) Highly recommend using them for your fitting needs!!

    Easy to Work With & High Quality Work

    I was recommended to Janet at Fine Stitch by the bridal salon where I purchased my dress. I am SO GLAD they recommended Janet - she was so easy to work with and her work is exceptional. My dress fit like a glove day-of!

    Great Service

    I went to Janet at Fine Stitch, LLC and she did an amazing job! She has a very calm and relaxing presence, which I LOVED. She altered my wedding dress exactly how I wanted it and when I came in for my fitting the dress fit like a glove and didn't need anymore work done on it. She even got a little stain out of it which I was worried out. I would definitely recommend going to Janet and trusting her with alterations!

    Absolutely wonderful

    Janet provided the alterations for my wedding gown and Sam provided my husband with a custom wedding suit. We were 100% satisfied with the final product on both of our wedding looks. Would recommend to anyone!

    Fine Stitch altered my daughter’s wedding dress and my mother of the bride gown. The owners are so accommodating and pleasant. They finished ahead of schedule and we were able to take bridal portraits ahead of the wedding! Janet devised a nine-point bustle that was nothing short of mind-boggling. She managed to make a dress with a ridiculously long train bustle up and fit my 4’11” daughter like it was designed that way. In fact, my daughter loved the dress bustled so much that she took a separate set of portraits with the dress bustled. I was shocked at how inexpensive the alterations were for the wedding dress-I was planning on spending at least twice what they charged.
    They completed my dress at a cost that was 50% quoted me from other alteration vendors. I will use them now for all my alteration needs.

    I cannot recommend Janet enough! I brought my wedding dress in for alterations. She is very sweet and really listens to what you need done. When I returned two weeks later to pick up the dress, there were a couple alterations that needed to be fixed. I asked when I should come back because I assumed they would need time to fix it; she replied that I just needed to have a seat for 20 minutes and they'd have it ready!

    The pricing is super. I thought I would end up spending $200+ but my total was less than $150.

    The shop is very clean, beautifully decorated, and inviting. It is located 45 minutes away from me but I will always make the drive for any alterations I need.

    Had my wedding dress train removed me you could not even tell that it wasn't made that way originally. Excellent work! Very very pleased. Also had my son's suit tailored and the turn around time was less than a week. Highly recommend!

    Fine Stitch did a wonderful job making my wedding gown fit perfectly for the big day. My dress had to be taken up in the shoulder straps, in on the hips, and shortened quite a bit. The bottom was covered in lace, so Janet had to remove it all, and put it back on, but it turned out perfectly. She also added bra cups. The fittings were not rushed, and my dress fit like a glove. Thank you!

    I actually purchased my dress from BHLDN in Atlanta but live near Kansas City. My dress had very intricate beading and they handled it perfectly! I needed an added layer sewn into my slip because it was almost see through otherwise and the length needed to be shortened ALOT. They did an absolutely amazing job and my dress turned out perfect & so beautiful.

    My dress fit perfectly after a couple of visits to Fine Stitch. A little expensive, but worth it! My strapless dress didn't move all day and the lace all lined up perfectly!

    This is the BEST place to get your wedding dress altered. I didn’t have to do much to it (mainly just a length issue) but Janet made sure it was perfect. She did an amazing 9-point bustle that kept my HUGE train up all night long. Her professional opinions on some other alterations that I was considering were so helpful. I also came back a couple of times to have her tighten up some buttons that come loose. Janet altered my wedding gown to perfection and in a very short time period. I didn’t get my dress in until early April but wanted it to be all done before my Bridal portraits in late May. Most alteration professionals won’t take a wedding dress with less than 8 weeks to get it done. Janet willingly accepted my dress with less than 6 weeks. She was a lifesaver. On top of that she also did my mothers gown as well. She is SO affordable and amazing to work with. Go to Fine Stitch for any wedding dress alterations!

    I originally purchased my wedding dress at belle vogue and I spent more than $500 altering it at fine stitch. I am very disappointed in the quality of work that was performed on my gown and feel that the poor quality alterations I received are the biggest contributing factor to why my gown fell apart on my wedding day. The straps I had them alter for the gown broke within the first 45 minutes of wearing the gown. The hook and eye above the zipper were broken therefore my gown wouldn't stay zipped during the day. Lastly my bustle didn't hold at all and my dress was torn to shreds by the end of the evening. I was unfortunately naive and trusted in the recommendations made by my bridal store to go to fine stitch....but I will most definitely not be a returning customer in the future and would not recommended them to others!

    Belle Vogue Bridal recommended I use Fine Stitch for wedding dress alterations. Unfortunately, I did not have an exceptional experience for several reasons:

    1) When I picked up my dress at Belle Vogue they said all I would need done is to have my dress taken in at the waist. Upon review by Janet of Fine Stitch, she said that shortening the straps would fix this issue. I was hesitant, but went along with this suggestion. At my second fitting the waist was still gaping on me and Janet told me that if I "stood up straight" this wouldn't be an issue. However, standing up straight only stretches the bunching of fabric and does not make the waist smaller. I can still grab nearly an inch of fabric on both sides of my waist. When I followed up on it, Janet said that making the waist smaller would only cause more bunching of the dress. As a result I will be wearing a dress that is too big.
    2) Janet lost a part of my dress. She initially stated that she did not even remember that part of my dress to begin with. She then said I could use a completely different part of my dress for this issue which would not work. She then concluded with "Well, I hope your day gets better." She called back later to tell me she had found it thankfully, but unfortunately handled the situation terribly unprofessionally and caused an abundance of stress and tears.
    3) Janet told me to pick my dress up during "wedding week." Upon arrival on Tuesday she initially could not find my dress and then told me it was not finished.

    Janet is a very good seamstress, but unfortunately that does not matter if she does not listen to the customer's needs. If you do choose to work with Fine Stitch which I do not recommend, be sure that Janet writes down every single thing in order to save yourself a headache.
