  Extremely Professional and Perfect!

  Mari and Jimmy are the absolute best! I am so pleased with how our ceremony and reception turned out! I am so thankful we crossed paths via recommendation of our best man who is friends with Jimmy. Communication is top notch and the service took my breath away. Jimmy treated me like a queen! We love Mari and Jimmy and will always recommend!

  DJ Jimmy was NOTHING short of amazing, Thank you for getting our guests on the dance floor. Its been 4 months since our perfect day and our guests are STILL TALKING about how amazing our DJ was. Thanks for making our day AMAZING!

  Book Jimmy! He's amazing! We had such a great time, and the night went flawlessly. Jimmy did a great job making all the announcements and facilitating the evening's events. He played a good balance of songs based on our genre preferences. I really liked the way he mixed songs so there was a smooth transition throughout the night. If your guests like to dance, Jimmy is your DJ!!! He brought all of his own equipment, set up early, had everything ready to go. Also had some kickass strobe lights. :D

  We were blown away by DJ Jimmy and his set up. He definitely MADE our wedding reception the blast that it was! I was so glad how he kept the party moving smoothly, we had numerous guest come to us and tell us what a great DJ we had and how fun he was the whole evening. He kept the crowd on their feet and even came out and danced with the guests! Anyone looking for a great, energetic DJ you'll find that with Five Stars Entertainment!

  Jimmy was incredible! We didn't consider a DJ till later, honestly, very late. And I'm so glad that the DJ that we found was Jimmy. He did exactly as we asked him and was very easy to work with. He communicated and MCed our wedding for us, without him I don't know how we would have organized our wedding.
  
  I would recommend Jimmy to anyone who needed a DJ for any kind of event. He added professionalism, energy, fun, and got everyone involved. Exactly what we needed and wanted!

  I knew that I wanted an MC for my reception. Not just a "DJ" who pushes buttons, but someone to host my event and keep things moving along. Jimmy delivered exactly what I was hoping for. We went over a rough timeline of how the evening would go, and he stuck to it! He made sure that the guests were active and was amazing at getting everyone up and dancing. He was incredibly professional at all times and very easy to get in contact with. I absolutely recommend him or any member of the 5stars team!!

  Wow! Working with five stars entertainment was easy as pie. DJ Jimmy Rock made the entire process easy and enjoyable. It really was our special day! He was set up and ready to go when we arrived and the lighting, sound, and song selections were spot on! He was a great MC for the entire evening as well! Five stars for five star entertainment!

  My wife and I hired Jimmy Larrick for our wedding. To start, our wedding was a dry wedding...with dancing. I was nervous at best, I was worried that it would take booze to get people going, but instead all it took was Jimmy. He played relevant songs and blew the roof off our venue! He, at one point, even got out on the dance floor and danced with us! The light show was LEGIT, great setup and display. He was also a great announcer and kept things on track and running smoothly.   DJ Jimmy was the DJ at my wedding this past summer, he was very quick to respond to any of my questions I had and was very pleasant to work with. He did a wonderful job of getting the guest involved in the dancing and filling the room with energy, he made my reception unforgettable!! I highly recommend his services!

  My husband and I got matried this summer and Jimmy was our Dj. I would definitely recommend him for any wedding he was good at keeping things going smoothly. He was entertaining and a great guy too work with.

  When we booked Jimmy for our wedding we were expecting to have a great time, but never knew that he would make our wedding an experience that is still talked about today! We've been married for almost two years, and still get calls asking us who our DJ was. Friends & Family all want Jimmy! Our guests probably do not remember the favors, flowers, decorations, etc..,but they do remember the experience Jimmy created! Highly recommended!

  A Catastrophe at Our Wedding

  I hired DJ Jimmy Rock for our wedding but was totally surprised when Big Tee showed up instead without ever letting me know... that is how our wedding began with this vendor. Many things went terribly wrong. I do NOT recommend.
  
  I had filled out a detailed playlist and had a specific timeline for the events at our wedding which was not followed at all.
  
  The ceremony was to be to the music "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift (epic orchestra). Instead "All too well" is what was playing as I was signaled to begin my walk down the aisle. Enchanted began just as I reached my groom, about a minute into a 7-minute song. Not entirely the error of the DJ and more of a wedding coordinator issue; however, it is a team effort. It was an outside wedding, and by the time I could hear the music, it was too late. I had to walk down the aisle to the wrong song......which was staticky and crackling on the speakers.
  
  We began our first dance right away after a grand entrance to the song "Bad Things" but Big Tee distorted Camilla Cabeo's voice so badly that she sounded like Minnie Mouse on crack. Unacceptable music for a bride's first dance with her groom. We adore that song, but not when Minnie Mouse sings it. It was ridiculous and intentional by the DJ.
  
  Next on the timeline was a bride & 3 sons dance that was supposed to be to the song "I Will Always Return" from the movie Spirit. After a long pause standing on the dance floor in silence, the wrong song began playing. It is instead the song for the Mother & Groom dance, which wasn't even supposed to happen until 9 pm! I hurry off the dance floor with my sons (awkward!) and signal my mother-in-law and husband to start their dance instead without any warning.
  
  Next, Big Tee announced the Father-Daughter dance....but that isn't even on the schedule because my dad didn't attend the wedding. Awkward again as we stand in silence!!!!
  
  So we try -again- to do the Bride & 3 sons dance after another long empty pause. The wrong song starts playing AGAIN!!!!!!! And it is to COUNTRY music, which I expressed could NOT be played at the wedding at all because we hate country music. We go with the flow and dance anyway, because what do you do when 80+ people are waiting and staring? Then the lyrics of the music say "I'm her dad"..... okay, ENOUGH! My dad isn't at the wedding (which is made obvious for the 2nd time in 5 minutes!) As we dance to the wrong song, my oldest son steps away from me and addresses our guests "Just so you all know, I am NOT her dad!" and tried to make light of the disaster that this DJ was inflicting repeatedly on our wedding.
  
  Big Tee apologized....repeatedly into the microphone.... but that doesn't make it okay.
  
  But wait, there is more... He barely played any of the songs on the playlist I submitted to Jimmy. As a huge Taylor Swift fan, I had numerous songs that I wanted to hear at my wedding by her. At 10:30 pm, we had not heard any Taylor Swift, so I told him. He played "Look What You Made Me Do" and purposely distorted her voice so badly that it sounded like a man singing it.......Big no no. We also had a list of other songs we submitted to Jimmy, but Big Tee just played whatever.
  
  We also had planned to play several games (they were checkmarked on the sheet Jimmy Rock asked us to fill out), such as the shoe game. No games were initiated by the DJ.
  
  When our Best Man and Man of Honor were ready to toast, Big Tee had no cordless microphone for them.
  
  After toasts, he announced "It's time to CUT THE CAKE!" Hold the phone, Big Tee. No, it's not. Twilight photos were scheduled for that time and the sun was setting. We aren't cutting the cake whenever Big Tee decides..... We have an actual timeline we are following. That was shared with ALL the vendors in advance. I walked away and went to do photos before we missed our sunset.
  
  When we finally were ready to cut the cake according to OUR plan... Big Tee announces to the crowd, "GO GET YOUR CAKE EVERYONE!!!!!!" Except we weren't serving our small wedding cake to everyone. That was for us, the bride and groom. We had a cheesecake bar that had already been underway for guests to enjoy a dessert. Now we had them coming after our tiny wedding cake because Big Tee set it in motion.
  
  Do not hire this DJ service. Disaster after disaster, and it wasn't cheap. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have reached out to Jimmy Rock but have not received a response regarding what happened (why Big Tee showed up instead of him, who I booked and paid, etc). So much of my time went into planning our playlist, timeline, and special dances and none of it was followed or respected. An incredible disappointment.

After a long pause standing on the dance floor in silence, the wrong song began playing. It is instead the song for the Mother & Groom dance, which wasn't even supposed to happen until 9 pm! I hurry off the dance floor with my sons (awkward!) and signal my mother-in-law and husband to start their dance instead without any warning.
  
  Next, Big Tee announced the Father-Daughter dance....but that isn't even on the schedule because my dad didn't attend the wedding. Awkward again as we stand in silence!!!!
  
  So we try -again- to do the Bride & 3 sons dance after another long empty pause. The wrong song starts playing AGAIN!!!!!!! And it is to COUNTRY music, which I expressed could NOT be played at the wedding at all because we hate country music. We go with the flow and dance anyway, because what do you do when 80+ people are waiting and staring? Then the lyrics of the music say "I'm her dad"..... okay, ENOUGH! My dad isn't at the wedding (which is made obvious for the 2nd time in 5 minutes!) As we dance to the wrong song, my oldest son steps away from me and addresses our guests "Just so you all know, I am NOT her dad!" and tried to make light of the disaster that this DJ was inflicting repeatedly on our wedding.
  
  Big Tee apologized....repeatedly into the microphone.... but that doesn't make it okay.
  
  But wait, there is more... He barely played any of the songs on the playlist I submitted to Jimmy. As a huge Taylor Swift fan, I had numerous songs that I wanted to hear at my wedding by her. At 10:30 pm, we had not heard any Taylor Swift, so I told him. He played "Look What You Made Me Do" and purposely distorted her voice so badly that it sounded like a man singing it.......Big no no. We also had a list of other songs we submitted to Jimmy, but Big Tee just played whatever.
  
  We also had planned to play several games (they were checkmarked on the sheet Jimmy Rock asked us to fill out), such as the shoe game. No games were initiated by the DJ.
  
  When our Best Man and Man of Honor were ready to toast, Big Tee had no cordless microphone for them.
  
  After toasts, he announced "It's time to CUT THE CAKE!" Hold the phone, Big Tee. No, it's not. Twilight photos were scheduled for that time and the sun was setting. We aren't cutting the cake whenever Big Tee decides..... We have an actual timeline we are following. That was shared with ALL the vendors in advance. I walked away and went to do photos before we missed our sunset.
  
  When we finally were ready to cut the cake according to OUR plan... Big Tee announces to the crowd, "GO GET YOUR CAKE EVERYONE!!!!!!" Except we weren't serving our small wedding cake to everyone. That was for us, the bride and groom. We had a cheesecake bar that had already been underway for guests to enjoy a dessert. Now we had them coming after our tiny wedding cake because Big Tee set it in motion.
  
  Do not hire this DJ service. Disaster after disaster, and it wasn't cheap. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have reached out to Jimmy Rock but have not received a response regarding what happened (why Big Tee showed up instead of him, who I booked and paid, etc). So much of my time went into planning our playlist, timeline, and special dances and none of it was followed or respected. An incredible disappointment.

  The ceremony was to be to the music "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift (epic orchestra). Instead "All too well" is what was playing as I was signaled to begin my walk down the aisle. Enchanted began just as I reached my groom, about a minute into a 7-minute song. Not entirely the error of the DJ and more of a wedding coordinator issue; however, it is a team effort. It was an outside wedding, and by the time I could hear the music, it was too late. I had to walk down the aisle to the wrong song......which was staticky and crackling on the speakers.
  
  We began our first dance right away after a grand entrance to the song "Bad Things" but Big Tee distorted Camilla Cabeo's voice so badly that she sounded like Minnie Mouse on crack. Unacceptable music for a bride's first dance with her groom. We adore that song, but not when Minnie Mouse sings it. It was ridiculous and intentional by the DJ.
