I spoke to a few florists before I got in touch with Flowers by Joan and I felt like I had wasted months futzing around when this gem of a florist was available to work with. When I connected with Jeannine, she probably thought I was somewhere between bridezilla and totally nuts, but it was because a few weeks earlier I’d spoken to a different florist who told me they thought my vision for flowers at my venue, Le Chateau, wouldn’t look good and I was hurt, embarrassed, and quite defensive. So when I got to chatting with Jeannine I launched into some rambling novella about flowers and what I wanted to achieve…and after listening without interrupting, Jeannine calmly summarized what I’d described and said “I think that sounds beautiful for a March wedding.”
Jeannine & the amazing team at Flowers by Joan were so, so easy to work with the entire process of our wedding planning. I had last minute additions and subtractions to my order and there was no hesitation or questions about the possibility of it being completed. They built us a beautiful arch for our ceremony that stayed behind our table during our reception. Our center pieces were just gorgeous and exactly what I described in my bridezilla way, which was having arrangements low enough for guests to be able to see each other across the table but still elegant enough to feel like flowers were there. They installed pillars of flaring candles in between each arrangement and when the lights were low and all the candles were lit, it was gorgeous. My bouquet was so beautiful I’m having it preserved. I couldn’t even imagine leaving it behind. And finally, Jeannine learned how to make jaimala for us, which are ceremonial flower garlands. They were threaded with the same blooms from my bouquet and the centerpieces so it was all a cohesive look and design.
Flowers were a really important part of our day. Our table names were all different flowers types (Dahlia, Daisy, Lily) and so we wanted our flowers to be beautiful. Jeannine understood and delivered when I asked her for arrangements that would meet my list of asks but minimize on waste. I cannot imagine our wedding day with any other florist. Thank you all so much. -

Simply the best!
Jeannine and her team are rockstars! My husband and I were blown away by the florals on our wedding day. Flowers by Joan took our vision and not only brought it to life but amplified it. We got endless compliments on the bouquets, centerpieces and the sweetheart table. O. M. G. The sweetheart table! It was stunning! Jeannine was the best and most easy to communicate with. She kept me in the loop and always made sure we were on the same page. I can’t say enough good things about this amazing team of florists. If you don’t hire Flowers by Joan for your wedding day, you’re doing it wrong. -

Jeannine did my wedding flowers this winter and did an amazing job! She was so great to work with from the beginning. We met with her and she provided examples of her work and helped us narrow down what we wanted. After that, she helped us every step of the way with all the details. Jeannine delivered our flowers to 3 different locations the day of the wedding and was extremely timely and professional. She did an amazing job getting flowers together for our 14 person bridal party, bride and groom, parents, and grandparents and the reception looked great. The flowers were beautiful, both at the rehearsal and the wedding. Great experience all around!! -

User1339878 Sent on 09/21/2013What wonderful service! Joan is kind and sweet, and made me beautiful bouquets for my wedding. If you call and schedule an appointment with her, she will gather sprigs of any flowers you request so that you can see them at the shop. When you arrive, you'll be seated and she'll gather up sprigs from all your samples and show you how they look in a bouquet. It's really amazing to see the flowers come together, and you get a great sense of what your flowers will look and feel like. I loved all my flowers, and Joan was on time the day of the wedding and did everything to perfection!! -

Katie Sent on 09/18/2012I got married 9/9/12 and my guests are STILL talking about how beautiful our bouquets and centerpieces were. Eileen was so easy to work with, she'll accomodate a bride no matter what. The arrangements were beautiful, I took a centerpiece home with me and it still looks fabulous! Eileen was prompt and professional, and FUN to work with. She gave me everything I wanted and more. Beautiful bouquets, beautiful centerpieces. I'd recommend her to anyone!
