  Michelle Smith surpassed our expectations on greatness. We still talk about her to our family and friends on how comfortable she made us feel. She is a very warm and compassionate officiant. Would recommend her to anyone.

  Working with Michelle was fantastic. She was incredibly patient, understanding and gracious. I confessed that I had a reoccurring dream/nightmare that the officiant didn't show up the day of the wedding and she offered to arrive much earlier than necessary just to put me at easy - she was one partner I didn't have to worry about, I knew I could count on her to make our day memorable.

  In the rush of heading out to the Belvedere Castle, we left the checkbook in our hotel. Understanding that we were out-of-towners, Michelle was gracious enough to allow us to send a check when we returned home from our trip! We mailed the check to her the very next day, but the offer was a life-saver. She was very courteous and well-dressed ;)
  It was short and sweet, but she helped it become special nonetheless.

  Michelle was a wonderful officiant! She provided a large package of many options for various parts of our ceremony and worked with us to put together the our perfect ceremony. She was a pleasure to work with start to finish. On the day of the wedding she was vey professional and officiated our ceremony in the most elegant and beautiful way.

  My husband and I were very pleased to have used Four Orchids / Michelle has an officiant. Michelle was very sweet, very calm and very professional - on a day which can be high stress, highly emotional.
  
  We discussed all of the details on the phone and via email and the day of the wedding was the first time that we had met in person. Michelle did offer to make herself available to meet, but we felt very comfortable with her. Hilariously, one of our guests complimented us on our officiant - he asked if she was a family friend who we knew for a long time.
  
  We were very pleased and would not hesitate to recommend Michelle.

  We were sure of the type of ceremony we didn't want and only had a vague idea of how ours should be. Michelle sat down with us and really helped put together a ceremony just for us. It was a huge relief knowing that we had the right person to marry us.

  Michelle was an absolute pleasure to work with. We had planned on having a friend marry us, but we couldn't sort out the paperwork in time. We found Michelle and she delivered exactly what we asked for. We were given a list of vow and ceremony options and we picked what worked best for us. She arrived at the venue on time, conducted herself with the utmost professionalism, and knocked out the 3 minute ceremony exactly how we asked. She executed all the paperwork, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. Top Notch.

She was so incredibly helpful during the months prior to our wedding, and she spent so much time helping me create a unique ceremony outline that fit the two of us. She also dealt with our schedule the day of the ceremony, which had some slight delays due to lots of unforeseen issues with some other vendor delays. We look back on our ceremony with such fondness, and we truly believe Michelle was a huge part of our day ending up turning out to be a perfect wedding, start to finish. Thanks, Michelle!

  Michelle was great. My husband and I flew into New York from Texas 3 days before we scheduled our "I DOs" and Michelle made it completely stress free. We made all arrangements by email prior to arrival and she was very flexible and professional with all the arrangements. She even recommended a great photographer for us so we didn't have to shop around for that as well. We had a very simple service with one witness at our hotel, but it was amazing. The booklet of service options was very helpful for us to choose our own wording and service arrangement. I cannot say enough good things about Michelle and Four Orchids.

  My husband and I planned a NYC wedding from Atlanta, GA with only one visit to the city prior to our wedding date. We found Michelle through the Four Orchids website online. She responded to our inquiries immediately, and was very accessible by phone and email. We arranged a meeting with Michelle in August 2009, and were so pleased to meet such a warm and friendly lady. She was very comfortable with the non-traditional, civil ceremony that we wanted performed, and understood our vision. Also, since we did not want to write our own vows, Michelle provided us with various passages, prayers, etc. that we could "cut and paste" to make our own. Michelle was also very accommodating to our location - on the Hudson River in Battery Park with no formal set-up, just 12 family members standing around in the windy cold! We were both very nervous, and Michelle really helped us to relax and enjoy our moment. She was genuinely excited for our union, and embraced our family. Thank you, Michelle, for helping us through it!

We especially appreciate the effort she made to learn to pronounce my husband's difficult Dutch name. Michelle is extremely personable and got along with our families as they waited for the ceremony to begin. We highly recommend her!

  It was an unforgetful experience for us. We had a peaceful and beatiful ceremony. Michele did a remarkable job and she was willing to accommodate our modest budget. We will definitely love to have her renew our vowls in the future.

  Michelle is great! When we first started the process, we weren't sure exactly what we wanted in our ceremony. Michelle suggested different ideas and as we got a better understanding of what we wanted, she was very accommodating in making sure that our ceremony was just perfect.   We contacted Michelle at Four Orchids about 4 weeks before our wedding. We were able to create an individualized wedding service together and make changes and additions together in this short time period. We were very happy with the attention we received as well as the results. Guests (who are not even planning a wedding) asked for her contact information for future reference.

  Michelle was the best officiant anybody could ask for. Not only was she extremely prompt and responsive, she was very kind, accommodating and the perfect person for our marriage ceremony. I would recommend her to anyone.
