Wedding in Roma on July 22,2023
Getting to know Francesca was a gift from heaven. My daughter’s wedding was on Saturday, 22.07.2023 in Rome, and living in Zurich, we relied on Francesca who followed all the bureaucratic formalities and contacts with the various vendors and was always willing to clear up any doubts in very few minutes. On the wedding day she was our guardian angel and followed everything step by step. The reception was incredible (she suggested Lincei catering).
Francesca is everything I like in a woman, she is empathetic but firm in advising you if you are going astray, she is decisive and confident with class, she is ready to solve unexpected problems without losing heart. All the advice she gave my daughter turned out to be sound, and all the vendors she recommended were outstanding! I recommend her from the bottom of my heart to those who would like to plan a destination wedding and those who simply want to get to their wedding day without having any worries.

From the first meeting she made us feel calm and no matter what we asked she managed to do it for us! We always said finding Francesca was the best thing we ever done for our wedding! I would definitely without a doubt recommend her to anyone!

hi Fransesca,
Thanks for taking the time to write to us your point of view.
- for flowers, you actually never provided the name of the florist and we had no information on what, and how many flowers your florist would provide. For this reason we decided to go with Stiatti flori which i highly recommend as they were amazing.
- for the tips for walking down the aisle, this was part of the contract. And the day before we were both stressed as we had no idea what to expect during the ceremony and I sent you a WhatsApp to ask you if you could give us tips as per our contract.
- for the last minute change, we asked you to add ‘you will find a translation on you chairs of the readings”…that’s all. this is the only change we did. And if it caused a problem we could have asked a guest to say it. Its such a small change and request that you bringing this up proves how we feel about your service (lack of effort and involvement).
- for translation to French, we actually mentioned in our first call, before signing a contract , that we did NOT want a word for word translation as this would be too boring for our guests. So we were surprised to read a word for word translation.
- the personal introduction, we wrote 100%. We actually sent you a draft so you could rework it and we were surprised that you actually just copy pasted our draft and thought it was good enough. Since you hadn’t worked on it, we decided to take the time to do it ourselves and find the right words and the right balance.
- we did mention length, as we were surprised that the ceremony would last barely 10 min. This does not mean we did not care about emotional meaning of it . We would not have spent hours/days working on which readings to use, writing our vows, songs to play, personal introduction if we didn’t care about meaning …. On the contrary this our biggest feedback to you, is that we felt like it lacked depth and personalization.
For 650 euros, for a 20-30 min ceremony, and you arriving 45 min in advance ( so 1h30 of service), we expected you to help us make that ceremony special and not just send us previous cérémonies of other couples.
We hope by the way that you will not share ours unless you ask for our permission. -

We choose Fransesca since she let us know she spoke French and English and had previously done bilingual non religious ceremonies. We were disappointed with Francesca services and we would not recommend her.
She didn’t listen to our needs ( sent us religious readings for instance)
She didn’t put enough time working on our ceremony and her version felt very generic and felt like something she copied from google. We ended up having to spent hours googling stuff online and researching to make our ceremony unique.
We requested if she could practice the ceremony and she refused ( we were very disappointed).
Last but not least, the intonations when reading the texts in English were off.
Out of the supplies we picked for our wedding ( florist, photographer, videographer, Dj etc which we were all great), she was by far the most expensive per hour and the least competent.

Dear Olivia and Victor, thank you so much for your review! I always find the reviews very helpful to improve my way of working for my couples.
I would also like to leave a precise reply to all your comments as I think it’s essential to provide other couples both points of view.
After our call, when you asked me for some advice on flowers, I offered (for free) my help in finding a solution to decorate your wedding venue with your tight budget. I also provided you a customized and discounted proposal for the wedding coordination (you asked me to send all the details of my proposal for the wedding coordination and then you also asked for an updated contract for this service and the you cancelled the service because the venue had charged you more than expected for other services). This is just to show all the efforts I made to meet your needs.
As for the officiant service, we started working together with me providing many different files with readings of any kind (not only religious), vows, rituals, and also suggestions on how to let me write a customised introduction with the details of your love story. After that, I wrote a personal introduction (which I couldn’t copy from Google as your love story is only yours and doesn’t belong to any other couple) and translated it in French. But then you changed your mind and you said that the French translation was too much, so I deleted it as per your request. I also asked you about your vows as I always print them for my couples, but you said you needed more time to write them so it was not possible for me to print them (as you never sent them to me).
When you asked me to practice the reading (which is not part of my service as it’s not written in my contract and not even in the first pdf I sent you with all the info on my service), it was two nights before your wedding, and the day after I had another wedding so I told you it was impossible for me to meet that specific need.
Also, let me remind you that I sent you 4 versions of your ceremony and you were more worried about the duration of the ceremony than of the emotional meaning of it.
On your wedding day, few hours before my arrival, you sent me a whatsapp message asking to add more sentences to the ceremony, which I was happy to add even if this was communicated to me at the very last moment.
I felt so sorry that you didn’t give your French guests the opportunity to hear your love story from my voice and you only gave them a printing of it (I felt it was very indelicate from you, as if they were less important than the American ones, which of course was not true).
Let me also remind you that your American guests laughed when I read the funny parts about your love story, so my tone was appropriate I guess.
Let me also remind you that I arrived at the venue and I gave both of you advice on how to walk down the aisle holding the bouquet (for Olivia) and how to greet Olivia at the altar (for Victor).
Also, when I arrived at the venue, there was no microphone as the dj told me it was not planned during the ceremony. So I kindly asked him to please set it up as I thought it was nice to listen to our voices. So you got a microphone.
At the end of the ceremony, I also suggested your guests to throw petals at you to let you have cool photos (I saw petals and I thought it could be a great idea instead of leaving them in the baskets). This was not something which was planned but I was very happy that you did it, and I am sure you will have nice photos of that moment.
Let me also tell you that your photographer and videographer thanked me for leaving them enough room to take perfect photos during the readings, during your ring exchange, and during your final kiss, as for me it’s very important that the couple gets the photos of the most romantic moments of the ceremony without me being in the middle of the scene.
That said, I have to thank you for giving me the opportunity to write this reply to you as I have analyzed my way of working and I noticed many small sweet actions that I do for every couple and that show how much I love my job. So, thank you again for judging my work and for letting me give other couples more information on my service as officiant. Wish you all the best for your future life together!
I hope our paths will cross again, maybe at one of your friends’ weddings, where you will be able to listen to a ceremony written by me for a couple thrilled to share their happiness with all their guests! 🤍
