    Perfect Location

We had our ceremony and reception at the Frog Pond and everything was perfect! Jack and Cathy were very laid back and easy to work with. They made sure the lawn and landscape were in perfect condition for our big day and our guests were so impressed. The bridesmaids stayed at the B&B the night before the wedding and Cathy made us the most delicious breakfast! We're so happy we had our wedding here and loved that there was no strict ending time for the reception and we could bring in our own vendors and decor to make everything unique.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Frog Pond and it was the absolute ideal location for us. The grounds are absolutely beautiful for an outdoor ceremony, very spacious with well tended landscaping and towering old trees that create a scene you cannot find anywhere else. The quaint charm of the bed & breakfast and carriage barn where we had the reception was just the best. Guests walking up the driveway looked around in awe at how beautiful it is here, more than one person commenting they felt like they were in a movie! The hospitality of Cathy and Jack for those who stayed overnight in some of the 3 bedrooms we rented for the weekend was 5 star. The daily breakfast was prepared from scratch and was all locally sourced and prepared perfectly. Our wedding day was literally perfect and Frog Pond was a big part of the reason why. If you have the opportunity to book an event here you are in for a truly magical time.

The Frog Pond provides the "Carriage Barn" and you have the whole yard if you want to do an outside wedding (which we did and it was wonderful!). They have a movable wooden bar that is available to use also. So they just provide the place which allows for you to be able to have the rest (catering, music, etc..) done exactly how you want it

    Gorgeous!!!

If you love an outdoor wedding and a barn reception, this is the place! MY only advice is to figure out the cost of all of your rentals before getting your heart set on it. You have to furnish the barn and if you need a bigger space, rent a tent. The barn fit our 125 people with 12 round tables but we had to take 2 tables down to fit the dance floor!
The pictures that we got are so amazing. The trees, gorgeous barn and a cozy B&B made it worth it!

    Picturesque gorgeous venue, Excellent value

The Frog Pond was a gorgeous venue for our wedding, and the owners take really great care of the property. We appreciated the ability to customize the wedding to our own tastes by adding our own vendors. You do have to budget for that, but we still found the venue cost (especially considering how much time they give you to set up) very reasonable and lower than others in the area. You do need to budget in the cost of rooms, depending on how many days you stay.

Our photos came out beautifully, and we really liked setting up the ceremony near their big tree, the cocktail hour on their patio, dinner under a tent, and dancing in the barn. The two of us and my parents stayed in the B&B rooms (their family home) and thought the breakfasts were lovely. You do need to manage most things on your own or with a coordinator since Kathy and Jack are pretty hands off, but we also found them to be very flexible. The owner Kathy did seem surprised that we were a mixed race couple. We're hoping our wedding helped broaden her horizons a bit ;D

I wouldn't recommend. The property is beautiful, as is much of upstate ny. The owners have no business running this place. The most stressful part of my wedding was Kathy. She's dishonest, she lies, and makes up rules as she goes and her anxiety isn't what any bride needs on their wedding day. The bait and switch nonsense wears you thin but came out right form the beginning. It's a lovely property, we had a great time for the wedding, but for the price (which is more expensive than any other place and does not include ANYTHING) it isn't worth it really.

as to not bore anyone with a long review and details about how things made me "feel", I'll give u the basic run-down:
    1. ) She told us we had to rent out 2 rooms for 2 nights. ok, no problem. she said $150 a night, website said $150 a night. she raised it up to $225 a night.

2.) We were told there was an additional charge past 100 people.

3.) We had to rent bathrooms since the property didnt include bathrooms, (although she charges an arm and a leg for the venue, no bathrooms are included.) we could only rent from 1 company she liked to deal with to rent the bathrooms.

4.) since it was a summer wedding, she said past weddings installed their own water misting systems for the heat. went out, purchased water misting systems, only to find out NO ONE had ever installed water misting systems because there is no water hook up to the carriage house. she made it up. her carriage house doesn't include fans or anything for the heat.

5.) Day before the wedding, she said she noticed we brought sparklers to the wedding for the send off and she didnt want sparklers because of her husbands tractors. wedding sparklers are the long ones, and as most brides know, they're not cheap at all.

6.) her "gourmet" breakfast consisted of white hot dogs, and tiger lillies which are not edible and she insisted that they were. also, a white sauce that when asked what it was, she cracked up and showed up a red hot sauce bottl
