  Funktion11 is Everything You Could Ask For

  Funktion11 is a terrific band. After attending a wedding for which they performed, my fiance and I knew the first thing we had to do was book Ronnie and the team. Funktion11 was professional, timely, and great to work with. Most importantly, they fueled the best night of our lives. They played all the music we wanted and knew how to read the crowd to keep the dance floor full. We danced so much they had to remind us to make sure to eat our first course. Funktion11 was essential to our perfect wedding and you can't go wrong with them.

  Funktion11 is a terrific band. After attending a wedding for which they performed, my fiance and I knew the first thing we had to do was book Ronnie and the team. Funktion11 was professional, timely, and great to work with. Most importantly, they fueled the best night of our lives. They played all the music we wanted and knew how to read the crowd to keep the dance floor full. We danced so much they had to remind us to make sure to eat our first course.   Funktion 11 is an amazing band! They say the two things people will remember at your wedding is the food and music. I can confidently say that Funktion 11 left people wanting more at our wedding and the band was certainly talked about by our guests in the most positive ways. I would recommend this band for any event. Ronnie is very pleasant to work with. He spent a lot of time with us prior to the wedding to go over things and make sure we have everything we need. They will also take time out to learn songs if you give them enough notice. Fantastic job Funktion 11!

  My pleasure to recommend Funktion 11 without reservation. Throughout the evening and in the days after, everyone was commending the band and was amazed at how they had everyone up and dancing.
  
  Our first dance songs were not simple (one was meant to be sung in Italian). They learned each one, rehearsed a number of times before the wedding and performed them to perfection.
  
  Not just a funk band, they performed a wide range of music and had something for everybody. They rocked the house.

  My pleasure to recommend Funktion 11 without reservation. Throughout the evening and in the days after, everyone was commending the band and was amazed at how they had everyone up and dancing.

  Aces across the board. The band was great from start to finish throughout the entire process. They kept our entire family on the dance floor the entire night and played groove line after our guests chanted " one more song!" at the very end of the night. Extremely professional, accommodating and friendly. So glad we booked funktion 11, they helped send our special night into orbit! Big thanks to the band again.

  I needed some time to think about how to begin to write a review for the service Funktion11 provided for us because I still can't believe how incredible this band was. In the beginning of the year while I was planning my wedding, a friend had recommended Funktion11 to me and she explained how they were an amazing and vibrant band that I needed to check out. I am so glad I did because soon after I read about them and listened to them online, I had called Ronnie (the band leader) and we became friends instantly. He loved the fact that we didn't want to hear the typical "wedding music." In fact, he encouraged us to play the music we want to hear FIRST. Lots and lots of funk, old school jams, motown, hip-hop and even some great current songs. He listened to exactly what I wanted and did over and beyond that. I've been told by the majority of the guests from my wedding this past November, that our band was the BEST band they have ever listened too. Not one person was sitting down. Not one! Ronnie and the talented band performed unique and challenging songs that we wanted for our first dance and parent dances, and not only did they nail it- but it sounded like they wrote it. If you are looking to book a band for your wedding or event and want people talking about how EPIC your party was- then look no further. This is the band you want to remember when you think back on that precious time in your life and how much fun you had when you danced with every person you love on one floor. I can not thank you enough- Ronnie and the band- for what you guys did for us November 25th in the fabulous Atlantic City. As we keep hearing over and over, "it was just epic."   Funktion 11 is the best!! Leading up to the wedding, Ronnie was so communicative and wanted to make sure Charlie and I had the best experience and the wedding was what we wanted. Ronnie was also helpful in sharing advice from past weddings to ensure everything was smooth.
  
  The music at the ceremony was way beyond our expectations. These are so seriously talented musicians and amazing vocalists. They kept the dance floor moving all night and many of our guests said it was the best band they ever heard play at a wedding. We also had some musicians in attendance who were totally blown away by their quality. Highly, highly recommend Funktion 11 and Ronnie!!!

  My husband and I chose Funktion 11 for our wedding on 9.9.17. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice, the band was simply amazing. From the moment the first note was played, our guests were up and out of their seats dancing, and didn’t return to their seats all night! The variety of music was perfect, the set list appealed to all ages and musical tastes. The band members brought so much excitement to the dance floor, their interactions with our guests brought it to a whole new level. It’s a month later and our guests are still reaching out to tell us how amazing our band was. If you are looking for an amazing band for your wedding, look no further, you have found it!

  The Funktion 11 Band absolutely ROCKED our wedding reception! After doing a ton of research on bands in the NJ area, I came across Funktion 11 and immediately fell in love with their style. The booming four-piece brass section, coordinated dance moves, stylish outfits, and amazing vocals captivated our audience from start to finish. Ronnie was an absolute pleasure to work with, and he made sure every detail was ironed out before the big day. As the emcee for the evening, he made sure all name pronunciations were 100% correct. All of our requests were performed PERFECTLY. The energy was electric all night long.
  
  My father surprised us by singing John Lennon's "Imagine" - he called Ronnie a few days before the wedding to see if he could help with background music. The band made sure that the right key was selected for my father, and they made his performance an unforgettable moment in my life.
  
  Ronnie also performed an amazing Horah for us during the reception. He even brought in a friend of his from Brooklyn to sing traditional songs as my wife walked down the aisle during our Jewish ceremony. Yet another unforgettable moment all thanks to Funktion 11!!

  Funktion11 achieved a difficult task of emerging two different cultures onto the dance floor through their music. We had a high level of expectation when it came to our music, and they did not disappoint.
  
  Ronnie is a great manager with a positive attitude and really took into consideration our styles and tastes based on conversations leading up to the wedding. They learned a good deal of new material for our event which was also tremendously appreciated. We wanted a band who was going to play not just "going through the motions", and Function11 brought the party.

  Funktion11 achieved a difficult task of emerging two different cultures onto the dance floor through their music. We had a high level of expectation when it came to our music, and they did not disappoint.

  Ron and Funktion 11,
  
  I was absolutely blown away by you guys on the night of our wedding (8.5.17)!!!!! We knew you guys were going to be awesome (as we had seen you in AC several other times) but the night of the wedding you were just that more amazing. You were so easy to work with and any questions we had for you leading up to the day of the wedding, you were there every step of the way to guide us.
  
  The music set list and medley choices were right up our alley! We are big fans of Motown and everything in between and you all delivered just that! Not only were my fiancé and I pleased about you all during the wedding, but I had every other person that night tell me that you were the best band that they had ever heard. The horn section, vocals, and professionalism were top notch! Funktion11 had the dance floor rockin' the whole night and our guests were raving for more as you played your last song. We had the best night ever and are so happy that we had Funktion11 as our band to share our special day with us ! You're the best and I cannot wait to see you next at our friends wedding in November !! Love you guys!!

  Room for improvement in flexibility and some flaws from the top in professionalism.
  
  They are a great band to see at their club shows or casual events. We were enamored seeing their online videos and checking them out for a couple of club nights. I do not recommend hiring the band for your wedding, if you want vendors who will take time to honor your wishes and work with you in sincerity. We found the manager mostly unpleasant to deal with (before and during the wedding) and lacking professionalism at the worst times. For our reception, they honored 0 of our song requests, which we took pains to put together and communicate, or other set details we discussed with the manager in advance. We were told they have done many weddings, but there were some amateurish decisions during our reception. Song choice and otherwise.
  
  We also used Funktion11 for our ceremony music, and it was done well. We were not confident on that until the moment of because we had such a difficult time getting confirmation that the musicians knew what we wanted. There was a lot of unreassuring 'yeah sure we got it' from the manager. For the ceremony music and the good time our guests had, I give 3 stars on quality of service and value.
  
  Basically, proceed with caution. The musicians are great, but the total package is not what I would consider wedding-ready.

Untrue that I micromanaged and tried to select every song (far from it), but I did feel entitled to have what was agreed upon.   As the band leader for Funtkion 11, this wedding reception was poorly designed at best. I usually as band leader emcee all wedding receptions as to insure the flow of any wedding reception is on track, and congruent to my band's performance.
  On this wedding, the bride and groom chose multiple emcees that I had never spoken with. By doing so the reception was not in-sync to the band in any way. During the reception starts, stops, speeches, and presentations were given at times I was completely unaware of which ate into the music performance time.
  
  We did the best we could under some very strained circumstances to say the least. We performed about 90% of the music requested by the bride, but apparently that was not good enough.
