  Delicious wedding cake and mini desserts!

  Jaclyn made our cake and mini desserts for our wedding, and she did a fantastic job!! She was initially a bit hard to get in touch with and her replies weren't always the most timely, but all of this was overshadowed by the amazing job she did delivering the final product! We had a small cake just for cutting, and 5 different mini desserts for serving, and all of them tasted absolutely incredible!! She delivered them the day of the wedding and took care of all the set up. Her prices were also the most reasonable of any option I could find in the Charleston area that offered mini desserts, as we wanted something more exciting than the standard wedding cake. I would highly recommend hiring Gala Desserts for your wedding! It's also worth mentioning that their storefront in Mt. Pleasant is absolutely adorable, and every single dessert we've tried from them is to die for!

  Gala Desserts was exactly what we were looking for in a wedding cake bakery. Our cake was beautiful, elegant, and delicious. I did my research and you'd be hard pressed to find a better combination of value and quality in the Charleston area. Jaclyn was a pleasure to work with, from inviting us in for a tasting early on in our planning process (one of the best parts to be sure!) to delivering exactly what I had pictured on the big day. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding in Charleston!

  I chose Gala Desserts for my wedding because we wanted lots of mini desserts instead of one big cake. We did have an 8" cutting cake, but then we chose 6 mini desserts to accompany this. Jaclyn was great to work with and made the process very easy! She provided samples of the cake for us to choose from and the table arrangement the day of the wedding looked beautiful. All of our guests LOVED the mini desserts and we thoroughly enjoyed our cutting cake. I would highly recommend Gala Desserts for anyone planning a wedding!

  Jaclyn is so professional, responsive, and flexible. She was such an easy vendor to work with and even agreed to decorate our cake the day of the wedding with our flowers that weren't coming in until the day before. The cake was delicious and looked just as she said it would. She is very affordable and made the wedding planning year easier. Thanks, Jaclyn!

  Jaclyn's cakes are amazing! My husband, daughter and I went for a tasting and loved her from the first second we met her. She is personable, laid back and totally accommodating. We decided on layers with lemon, raspberry and key lime curd between each. Our guests raved about the cake (even though the mom did not get to taste it that night)! Everything was handled professionally and I never had one second worry about it being where it needed to be! I highly recommend Gala Desserts! You won't be sorry!

  Jaclyn at Gala Desserts was a pleasure to work with. I found her price very reasonable compared to even chain stores like Publix, and her cakes were way more delicious!!
  
  When I first reached out, she was quick to respond, and we set up an initial meeting and cake tasting. Unlike other vendors I had tried, she prepared small slices of each cake (rather than cupcakes). This was perfect, as I could truly tell what the cake was going to taste like. All her flavors were delicious, and she makes it easy because she will do each layer a different flavor for free--not something you will find from other bakeries in town.
  
  Her prices were extremely reasonable, and she charges a flat rate, rather than slice per person which can get pricy.
  
  I liked her so much, I recommended her to my mother-in-law who also used her for the groom's cake. She did a great job decorating our wedding cake according to the pictures I gave her and our groom's cake was great!! It was a dock, as my husband and I got engaged on a dock and he loves to fish. It looked great and was very tasty!
  
  I would definitely recommend Jaclyn if you are looking for great tasting cake at a reasonable price.

She had cake samples, beverages, and a fire for us! Her prices were some of the best I had seen as well and for a bride on a budget, that was so nice. It was an easy decision to have her do our cake!
  The cake i requested was really fun, and different. Jaclyn was totally willing to do it, she was actually excited to do something new. And just as important, it tasted GREAT! My husband even convinced me a month into our marriage to eat the cake topper and not wait till 1 year... it was still delicious! Jaclyn is a super lady and her cakes speak for themselves!

  The cake was positively scrumptious! I don't think I have ever eaten such a delicious cake. The setup was just as I pictured and the service was quick and easy. Jackie has made my daughters birthday surprise the perfect and unforgettable occasion. I will undoubtedly recommend her!

  We hired GALA desserts to do our wedding cake and couldn't be more pleased! They were amazing, worked with me on the perfect design and it was delicious. I can honestly say I got more compliments on the cake then I did on anything else, people are still talking about it. Definitely planning on using them again!

  Jaclyn Story is not only incredibly talented but an absolute pleasure to work with! Our cake tasting consisted of such a variety of flavors that making a decision for our wedding cake with quite difficult to say the least. I'm not typically a cake-person and I found myself devouring samples I wouldn't normally even consider! Ultimately, my husband and I went with alternating layers of cookies n' cream and lemon chiffon - both of which were to die for. I've been to weddings where the cake is appealing to the eye but not necessarily too great tasting (likely due to the use of fondant and non-edible treats) but my cake was absolutely beautiful AND delicious!!! Jaclyn created stunning roses and didn't need to use an ounce of fondant - the entire cake was edible, though it had many delicate and intricate details that looked too perfect to be safe for consumption. To top it off, we had an out-of-state wedding and only had the opportunity to meet with Jaclyn once prior to the event - an element of wedding planning that normally isn't very easy to perfect from afar. Jackie made sure that we were updated frequently with ideas and drawings and the day of our wedding we weren't the least bit worried about how the results would turn out, though we were seven states away while planning. So, whether you're looking for a local vendor or faced with the difficult task of finding one from afar - look no further than Gala Desserts! :)

  We used Jaclyn for our wedding in 2012, and we're so happy that we did. At the time she was baking in a small Italian restaurant that I had enjoyed before, but as the bakery wasn't at the front of the operation, I hadn't considered her for our wedding.   Working with her was an amazing experience. We stopped by after the lunch rush and she brought out two huge plates with a sample slice of EVERYTHING on it. And I will say, EVERYTHING tasted good. We even went with a layer in a flavor we would have never otherwise picked, 'cause Jaclyn's version was so good. She was very professional, communicative, and the price was very reasonable.
  We couldn't be more excited about GALA desserts, we wish her all the best, and we endorse her wholeheartedly.

  We used Jaclyn for our wedding in 2012, and we're so happy that we did. At the time she was baking in a small Italian restaurant that I had enjoyed before, but as the bakery wasn't at the front of the operation, I hadn't considered her for our wedding.
