  The BEST food in the highcountry!

  We had two unbelievable dinners with the Gamekeeper. Not only was the food OUTSTANDING for our group of 120, the staff was incredible, the coordinator easy to work with, and my guests said it was some of the best meals they've had! Get the mac and cheese- and the bourbon chocolate bread pudding! Can't say enough about this restaurant- thank you for making my wedding weekend amazing!

  We're from Brooklyn and were nervous about finding catering that would meet our vegetarian diets and be fancy enough for our city folks. :) Wendy and Ken from the Gamekeeper were amazing. They went above and beyond to make our food and spirits perfect! Each guest I spoke to at the wedding complimented us on the food, over and over again.
  
  We're vegetarians and even though they specialize in meat, the food was gourmet. Their pumpkin bisque soup was to die for! And the cake, was so beautiful. So happy we chose the Gamekeeper at CSR.
  
  Really, I've read some of other reviews about price, some not so positive. I'm sorry but those people sound delusional! Come to New York, your food will easily cost you $20,000 without the rentals or venue. The Gamekeeper is incredible, 5-star catering at a fraction of the price.

  We had our wedding at Camp Sky Ranch and The Gamekeeper is their exclusive caterer. One of the drawbacks of many venues is that you can't choose your own caterer. However, having The Gamekeeper was sincerely one of my favorite parts of the entire reception. The food was impeccable. The service was amazing. Wendy and Ken are truly food artists. We had a simple NC BBQ menu and it was some of the best (if not the best) that I had ever had. Our cake that Wendy made was phenomenal. All of our guests continue to talk about how amazing the food was and how it was so not the typical "wedding food". You won't regret having The Gamekeeper caterer your wedding whether at CSR or at any other venue. They are simply in a class all of their own.

  We had the Gamekeeper cater our wedding at Camp Sky Ranch and they were AMAZING! The Gamekeeper was extremely professional, the food was fantastic, and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Food was one of our top priorities and something that was very important to us and we were not disappointed with the Gamekeeper. Wendy made it so easy to plan our menu and really made our wedding such a pleasure. I cannot understate how great it was to work with them! Wendy had great ideas about passed hors d'oeuvres that would work well with the entrees and sides that we had chosen to help create a balanced menu. Wendy also made our wedding cake. We chose to do a variety of cheesecakes and they were so yummy! We received so many compliments regarding the food and the service. If you have ever been to the Gamekeeper for dinner, you know what a spectacular experience that is--their catering embodies all of the same things that you love about their restaurant. I would without reservation recommend the Gamekeeper for catering an event--you will not be disappointed.

  Chef and Co-Owner, Wendy and her team at the Gamekeeper did a great job at our wedding. We opted for heavy hors d'oeuvres to serve our guests rather than meals. It was plenty of food and everyone had options to choose from. Friends and family still compliment us on the food and plan to visit the Gamekeeper restaurant once they are back in the Boone area. Can't thank them enough for a job well done on the quality of food.
  
  Maybe we should of thought of it ahead of time to tell the servers but that waiting on guests was more important to us than continual clean up. Everyone felt that the wait staff were anxious to clear away plates and trays of people's food. Several times wedding party members would bring me a plate of food, I would turn around to take a picture and POOF my food was swept away. Same for the groom. I feel that a good portion of what we had paid for had been wasted and wait staff often didn't approach us to offer the bride and groom food. I had to ask my girls to run instead. That was something I felt the waitstaff should of prioritized.
  
  The father-of-the-groom organized contact with Wendy and she was always willing to negotiate options and prices but communication took SO LONG! it would be about 2 weeks between email responses from her and she wasn't accessible to contact via phone, unless she called us. Because of the lack of communication I was worrying up until the week of the wedding to make sure everything was arranged and ready for the big day. They definitely came through but I think that if Wendy is so busy they should considering hiring an Office Assistant for the Catering side of the house to help manage communication. I think that would set brides at ease while working with this extraordinarily unique restaurant.
