We could not recommend the Garnet Hill Lodge enough. The view is absolutely stunning and makes for an incredibly memorable experience. The food at the dinner service was delicious. All the staff we were incredibly professional and accommodating. Nicole the wedding coordinator was very flexible and helpful throughout the entire process. And overall, the value was very absolutely worth it. You will not be making a mistake by booking this location for your wedding.

The staff at Garnet Hill Lodge was excellent! They all went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly for our micro-wedding. They took care of every detail and were so kind and supportive throughout the whole process.

The venue itself is very scenic at all times of the year, and the updated lodge was a perfect setting for our event. Breakfast was included for all guests, which was a huge perk for us, too!

Would highly recommend this venue to others!

We got married at The Garnet Hill Lodge on November 4, 2023.

From the moment we arrived on Friday night for our meet and greet pizza party through Sunday morning breakfast, everything was wonderful.
The food, the beautiful scenery, the staff, the Adirondack ambiance, the fire pit that we used both nights - it was exactly what we wanted.

Special shout-out to Nicole, Lucy, and Erin for making our wedding so spectacular.

We got married here in October 2023, and it was absolutely perfect. The venue was everything that we wanted, naturally beautiful – which made décor that much easier. It was great to have the place to ourselves for the whole weekend, and all of our guests were so impressed with the views. We are from North Carolina, so they also helped out finding vendors in the area to help make the wedding day even better, and they helped us through our laundry list of questions for all things as we prepared. The big thing for us was the plethora of food allergies and restrictions we had with the guests of our wedding. They were extremely accommodating to help make sure that everyone could fully enjoy the weekend with us.

We were obviously busy getting ready, so we weren’t able to enjoy the amenities, like hiking or canoeing, but our guests loved it! Every single one of our guests had nothing but rave reviews to say about the lodge and the staff that worked there. They were extremely helpful in all facets of the weekend. We have already talked about coming back for an anniversary to get our chance to enjoy all of these perks.

We just had our wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge, 9/30/2023. It was perfect! It was a beautiful weekend, our guests who came in Friday night had a taco and Sunday bar. There was some issues with guests coming in due to a severe storm in the NJ area, however Garnet Hill easily adapted. Nicole is excellent to work with leading up to the event and day of the event. She is quick to respond to email and phone call. She handles things well that come up last minute and provides a good support to the bride, the moms and vendors. All our vendors loved the location for how beautiful it was and how well the wedding went. The rooms were beautiful, the coziness of a typical ADK room but also recently updated; we stayed in a balcony room and the view was peaceful to wake up to! Our guests loved how outside the wedding they were able to hike, kayak, disc golf, rock climbing and enjoy the local town. Our band and cocktail hour trip played outside in the beautiful new pavilion, plenty of room for hours of dancing! Our wedding was super fun and perfect for us! We could not have asked for a more amazing weekend and wedding!

I would highly recommend the Garnet Hill Lodge as a wedding venue. My daughter got married this past weekend and the entire staff welcomed us with open arms. Nicole is a great planner who really supported our requests. Every staff member really made us feel at home. The food was great, the views are stunning and the Lodge and dance pavilion were beautiful. It was a weekend to remember. Thank you!

My husband and I got married at Garnet Hill Lodge on September 23, 2023. We could not have asked for or envisioned a more perfect venue and experience than what we had at Garnet Hill Lodge. We and our 70 guests stayed Friday afternoon through Sunday morning and had an incredible wedding weekend. Nicole and her team were absolutely amazing in every way. The staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our guests were complimenting the service at every meal. The front desk staff could not have made the check-in process more easy for our guests staying onsite. When we had to unexpectedly move some guest rooms on Friday night due to unforeseen circumstances with an offsite rental, Ana was extremely helpful and efficient with helping with this process. Every meal we had during our stay was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, the BBQ buffet Friday night was a hit and the reception food was unreal. We opted for the reception food to be buffet style and it worked out perfectly for our guests. The kitchen was more than accommodating for our dietary-restricted guests and also labeled food allergies with each deal. Coffee, tea, and water were always available in the lobby for our guests. Our guests were never bored and took full advantage of the lake, mountain bikes, and the beautiful back porch. Special thanks to Patrick for taking 38 of our guests on a guided hike to Hooper Mine on Saturday morning. Even my 86-year-old grandfather was able to participate! Thank you to Nicole, Lucy, Patrick, Ana, Paula, Erin, Kristen, and everyone else who worked tirelessly the entire weekend to make our experience amazing. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the service, to the facilities were outstanding. If you are looking to have a wedding that is private and more than just the traditional 6-8 hours, I cannot recommend Garnet Hill Lodge enough. Staying the whole weekend with our guests gave us time to relax, talk individually with every attendee, and more importantly, spend uninterrupted time as just the two of us. Our guests left saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to!

Garnet was truly a beautiful venue. Nicole communicated everything flawlessly. It was easy to work with Garnet Hill. The staff and service were phenomenal.

My husband and I got married in Sept 2023 here and it was beautiful! The staff were all helpful and friendly every step of the way. It was an amazing opportunity to have both our families come together for a weekend and get to know one another and have a relaxing vacation along with attending the wedding. Many people went on the guided hike and had a great time! The food was amazing and the view even better! We had a fabulous time, and I cannot say enough good things about the venue and staff!

Leading up to the day Garnet Hill’s event manager Nicole was very responsive and helpful. She made sure that the lodge understood exactly what we wanted and helped guide us through the planning process.

We had the entire property to ourselves for the weekend—which meant almost all of our family and friends were able to stay at the lodge. It is charming, well-appointed, and clean. On Friday night we did a barbecue which everyone loved! The food was amazing, and it gave us time to chat with our wedding guests, soak in the views, and enjoy the bonfire.

On Saturday before the wedding our guests enjoyed going on a guided hike led by the a Garnet Hill staff member (thanks Patrick!) and exploring the beautiful nature surrounding the lodge.

Then came the wedding ceremony—our guests are still talking about the stunning views and we can’t wait to see how our pictures come out! The cocktail hour was fun, the dinner was intimate, the service was seamless, and the food was delicious! The dining room looked stunning, thanks to Lucy and the rest of the Garnet Hill team. We did dancing outside under the beautiful new pavilion and had late-night pizza after building up an appetite on the dance floor.

Overall, the Garnet Hill team was incredibly flexible, professional, and friendly. Our wedding weekend was perfect!!

It has been a whirlwind getting back into the swing of things post wedding, but we can't stop talking about what an incredible weekend we had at Garnet Hill. The wedding weekend was everything we imagined and more! The food was fabulous, the staff was incredibly kind, the views were breathtaking, and I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. Everyone who attended still reaches out to tell us how much fun they had at Garnet Hill. We would absolutely recommend having your wedding there!

We had our micro- wedding at Garnet Hill Lodge. Us and all of our guest came in for the weekend from out of town. Nicole had made it very easy to plan a wedding from out of town because her communication was great. They took care of all of my requests and handled all of the decorating. They made my day less stressful. The weather did not cooperate for the ceremony, but Nicole and Lucy had given us a plan b and it was still perfect. We got married under the pavilion and it was gorgeous.
The food was absolutely delicious!!!! 5 stars!!!! We hosted a welcome dinner and reception dinner and our guests could not stop raving about the food. Even breakfast buffet each morning was delicious. They also accommodated food requests for my 2 and 5 year olds.
The staff is wonderful! We met Lucy when we arrived Thursday, and she was just fantastic. There were no other guests that evening and she offered to stay to tend the bar for us. It was nice talking to her and getting to know her. She was so helpful the whole weekend!
The Lodge itself is charming, cozy, and incredibly clean. The views from the balcony rooms are incredible. The flowerbeds around the lodge are stunning. Pictures do not do justice. The Garnet Hill Lodge exceeded my expectations in every single way. We will definitely be coming back for a visit.

We loved our winter wedding experience at Garnet Hill Lodge! We wished for snow and we certainly got it!!! There was a raging blizzard which was at peak force when guests were arriving, and the lodge staff went absolutely above and beyond in making sure ALL guests got to the lodge safely. Jessica Brown was wonderful to work with and put us all at ease with her friendly, easy-going nature and her can-do, problem-solving attitude. The venue is gorgeous and was perfect for a cozy, wintry wedding weekend with lots of littles running around—just what we wanted.

Garnet Hill Lodge provided us with a wedding experience that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Leading up to our weekend, the venue coordinator, Jessica, was extremely responsive and helpful with answering our numerous questions, clarifying details, and guiding us along our planning process to ensure the details we had envisioned would all come together. This extended to the wedding weekend itself, when the team at GHL provided us with an outstanding experience, including (but not limited to!) the venue coordinator, Jessica, the dining room captain, Lucy, the head bartender, Erin, and the caretaker/hike leader/outdoor bartender, Patrick. All of the staff at GHL were extremely positive to work with, making a weekend full of logistical hurdles feel like a team effort to throw a perfect party. Additionally, the lodge and grounds provided an unbeatable setting. The lawn, with expansive mountain and lake views, was the perfect setting for our ceremony, cocktail hour, bonfire, and mingling space for our guests to meet and enjoy each other’s company. The newly-constructed, screened in pavilion provided an incredible space to dance the night away under fairy lights hung from the wood beams. The main dining room of the lodge provided the perfect rustic and warm setting for our wedding dinner and casual hangouts with our guests. Guests enjoyed the clean and comfortable accommodations in the lodge and other on-site buildings. Last but not least, the grounds provided an unparalleled outdoor experience, with many of our guests taking advantage of the hiking trails and beach on Thirteenth Lake. The grounds also provided a variety of breathtaking backdrops for wedding photos that we will cherish forever. The rustic charm of the setting was complimented by delicious food, often incorporating an Adirondack flair into familiar favorites. Many guests commented on the quality of the meals, from morning breakfast, to the wedding night hors d'oeuvres and dinner, to late night pizza. The flexibility of the venue was also a huge benefit, with our questions regarding meal options, locations, and timings being met with enthusiastic solutions. We would definitely choose Garnet Hill Lodge over and over again for the wonderful experience that we had here. My husband and I eloped in May and decided to do a wedding weekend celebration with family and friends at Garnet Hill Lodge in June. The grounds are just beautiful and all the rooms were recently updated so they were very lodge-chic for our guests. We were looking for a venue where we could have most of the guests stay on the grounds, we didn't have to use any shuttle bus and enjoyed a fun-filled weekend Friday to Sunday, with the place completely ours. We did a BBQ Friday night which was so delicious, did a sit down dinner Saturday night and used the new outdoor pavilion for dancing. Our guests enjoyed the grounds for lawn games and the lake during the day. We had big bonfires both nights. I am very into home decorating and Garnet was accommodating, letting me bring a ton of decor in to make the lodge feel a little more stylish. They also agreed to hang a ton of hanging lights which made for perfect ambience. Dwayne, the Manager, was amazing - he ensured renovations were done in time and even brought in our favorite donuts, Duck Donuts, from Albany! It was truly a magical weekend, it went so smoothly and we have such a wonderful time! PS - we lucked out and had no issues with black flies! so that was something we realized we didn't have to worry about like we had thought. Would highly recommend if you want an outdoors weekend with a beautiful view, good food, and a location where you can reserve the entire place/grounds for just you and your guests!

My husband and I got married at garnet hill in September. We had a wedding “weekend” with our guests staying at the lodge Friday through Saturday. We got very lucky and had gorgeous weather both days. There was a bonfire each night and smores which was a huge crowd pleaser. All the food throughout the entire weekend, included the reception was amazing! We went with buffet style and the choices and variety were all delicious. The staff went above and beyond, not just during the event but leading up to it. The event coordinator, Jessica, was so patient and helpful with the many emails and phone calls back and forth. She thought of things that hadn’t even crossed my mind but we’re such thoughtful touches! We couldn’t be happier with our wedding at Garnet hill. Our friends and family can’t stop talking about the wonderful time they had!!

My husband and I were married on 10/2/21 at the Lodge. We started our planning and booked the venue Jan of 2020 and throughout the entire process they were nothing but accommodating.
Jessica took everything we had dreamed and made it come true. Erin, Lucy and Patrick are a true asset to the Lodge. You can tell they have been working together for a while by the smoothness in which everything comes together.
We have gotten so many compliments from guests on how GREAT the food was and how much fun they had. It will not be like any other wedding you or yours guests have attended. We ended up staying from Thursday to Sunday and the whole staff made us feel so welcome and we cannot wait to come back and visit everyone.

Without hesitation, we booked the site for a September wedding.

Here is the breakdown of our amazing experiences:

ACCOMMODATIONS
One of the main reasons we booked with GHL is due to the accommodations. Between the Log House and two cottages (Birches and Tea House), your family and friends are able to gather together on one property. The lodging is within walking distance from each other. There is something so tranquil about your guests arriving and parking their cars for the weekend and being able to walk and explore the resort by foot. The guest rooms are impeccably clean, decorated and comfortable.

VENUE
GHL is undeniably the perfect wedding venue! Imagine having an outdoor ceremony with your guests overlooking Thirteenth Lake and breathing in fresh, crisp mountain air. The arbor and chairs were set up that way so we all had a picturesque panoramic view. For outdoor Cocktail Hour, our musician played while hors d'oeuvres were circulated and guests played lawn games. Our reception was held in the spacious Log House. Our guests sat comfortably and dinner service went smoothly and punctual. For our First Look, we chose the location of the Private Beach and it was an ideal spot for pre-wedding moments with our photographer. Our guests had access to kayaks, canoes and paddle boards for use at Thirteenth Lake. They loved the outdoor activities!

STAFF
The wedding planning was seamless due to the most knowledgeable, patient and responsive Group Sales Manager aka our wedding guru, Jessica. From the initial email we sent to Jessica inquiring about the venue to our wedding day, she was amazing to work with. Jessica is your go to guide for all GHL-related questions, concerns, ideas, requests and wedding day needs. She went above and beyond to answer our questions by phone, email and in person, and helped us plan and organize the wedding weekend of our dreams. Jessica was professional, courteous and friendly. Her diligence, calm demeanor and attention to detail leading up to our wedding day was truly appreciated. You will enjoy working and planning your wedding with her!

Jeff is another employee of GHL that was clutch! As Head of Maintenance, he was responsible for setting up the venue for our Welcome BBQ, Ceremony and Reception. His assistance, support and hard work was cherished. He takes care of the venue property and the love and care are highly visible from the Private Beach to the hiking trails to the massive lawn space outside the Log House.

As we mentioned, Dwayne is the Manager and gave us a grand tour of GHL. He was friendly and responsive to our questions and ideas!

SERVICE/DINING
From check in with Paula to dining with the servers, the GHL team worked collaboratively to create a relaxing and pleasant stay for us and our guests. The Head Chef, Michael, cooked us tasty meals on the wedding day and we also opted for a welcome reception BBQ. We were excited to meet him at our menu tasting and have the opportunity to narrow down the delicious entree options. The food was fresh, filling and GHL offered a variety of options for all diners with any dietary restrictions. The food portions were more than you could ever ask for!

The service staff, notably Head Server, Lucy, and the Head Bartender, Erin, worked together harmoniously to provide enjoyable meals, drinks and exceptional service throughout the weekend. They were kind and very welcoming to our guests. It was nice to meet Lucy during our menu tasting and develop a positive rapport with her. Erin is an experienced bartender and will make your cocktail dreams come true. She was happy to work with us to create our Signature Cocktails for our wedding day.

In a nutshell, you will not regret booking GHL for your wedding experience. Thank you, Garnet Hill Lodge, for such a special and unforgettable wedding with our family and friends. We often reminisce about the good times we had there. It is highly recommended for all the reasons we listed above!

Garnet Hill Lodge is a beautiful venue with an incredible staff. My husband and I had the weekend wedding of our lives and wish we could just keep reliving it. Our wedding turned out to be a hundred times more amazing than we could have ever dreamed of. The staff were so helpful, welcoming, easy to work with, kind and all around amazing people. They really made us and our guests feel at home. By the time we left, we felt like we were part of the Garnet Hill Lodge family. Jessica and Patrick were who we mostly worked with and they were outstanding from the start of booking until the day we left. Garnet Hill Lodge itself was the perfect venue for my husband and I who are very outdoorsy people. The lodge was perfect, rustic and cozy, the view was breathtaking and the lake was so much fun to swim and kayak in. The other lodging that was offered on site was a great fit for our guests. One of the most fun things about the weekend was that there was not a lot of cell service and once everyone got to the venue on Friday no one had to leave until Sunday because everything was provided there. The Welcome Party on Friday night was a blast, we brought a bunch of yard games and had a party! The wedding day itself was just magical, I am still lots for words but it was just absolutely amazing. We would recommend Garnet Hill Lodge to anyone and everyone, if we could give them a 10 out of 5 stars we would. Our wedding guests and us are still reminiscing about how fun and wonderful the wedding weekend was, and we all can't wait to visit again sometime soon.

I cannot recommend this venue enough! It was stunning, the food was incredible, and the staff was fantastic. Nicole in sales was so responsive and helpful, she really made planning our last-minute-destination-holiday-season-pandemic wedding easy! Garnet-Hill was not our original plan, but this turned out to be 1,000 times better than our original plan! We got to have the whole lodge for the entire weekend, with just our closest friends and family. This made it so our wedding wasn't over in just a few hours. We were able to provide all food for our guests (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for the whole weekend at an incredibly reasonable price! It was less than other vendors (who weren't as tasty) quoted us for just the wedding dinner! And the food was AMAZING for every meal! Lucy, the head server, was sweet and so great to us and all of our guests. Our pictures turned out phenomenal because the setting is just so beautiful. Everything was perfect. Also, now we have a cool place to go back and visit for our anniversaries!

I just had my wedding last weekend at the Garnet Hill Lodge and I really cannot express how unbelievably perfect it was! Every aspect of the wedding was exactly what I wanted. From Nicole and her staff, to the food (delicious!!), to the ambiance (the view is unbelievable), I could not have been more happy with my wedding! My daughters wedding this past weekend at Garnet Hill Lodge was spectacular. From the time the planning began a year ago until we picked up the last forgotten items today, the experience was amazing.

Nicole, the Lodge event planner, helped us make the decisions that were needed to be made, with ease and confidence. She handled all my last minute changes with grace and a 'Got it' attitude.


All of our guests commented on the amazing views and accommodations. The food was delicious and plentiful. Nobody went hungry.

We had the entire Lodge for the wedding, so it felt like we were visiting a relative's Adirondack hideaway on the top of a mountain. Guests took advantage of the kayaks and canoes, bonfires and s'mores at night, and the well-equipped game room .

The Lodge staff was amazing, especially Lucy, who set up for the ceremony and reception according to our plans without missing an item, Patty, server extraordinaire, and Chef Brad, who offered amazing dishes as well as customized others for us.

As guests were leaving Sunday morning, all of them mentioned that it was one of the best, most relaxing weddings they have attended.

We knew this was the place we wanted to get married as soon as we drove up.

Nicole and all the staff were amazingly helpful and accommodating with all our ideas and requests. We wanted a low-key affair that was also nice and enjoyable and Garnet Hill delivered on all counts. All our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the celebration and the venue. It was especially important to us to extend our party over the whole weekend, and being able to have a private celebration at GHL was exactly what we wanted. Our wedding weekend was everything we could have asked for and more. The staff are very professional and took care of all our needs on the wedding day, and we did not have to worry about anything and were able to relax and enjoy our celebration.

The food throughout was absolutely amazing! From breakfast to BBQ to the food for the reception, we did not have a bad meal the entire time. The kitchen accommodated all the food allergy concerns, and the Polenta the chef recommended for our reception was exceptionally good. The maître d', Lucy, made sure we were well taken care of throughout.

We really can't say enough good things about Garnet Hill. We were also able to stay within our budget, and the prices were entirely reasonable, unlike at so many other places that we looked at. Nicole and staff answered all our questions and put us at ease in planning our event. We always felt taken care of and respected. Garnet Hill was the perfect place to have our queer wedding in the Adirondacks.

Our wedding at Garnet Hill was perfect. We wanted a private venue, a place that allowed our guests to experience the beauty of the Adirondacks, and that's exactly what we got. It's a stunning place to stay, to dine, and to unplug.

We found Garnet Hill 14 months before our wedding, and communication was everything I needed and more over that time. Nicole put my mind at ease by answering all of my questions thoroughly, including some I know I asked more than once, and was there to make sure the entire weekend went exactly the way we wanted. Lucy and the banquet, maintenance, and bar staff helped ensure my vision was executed, and I felt so comfortable after so many months of planning that everything was in good hands!

The staff helped execute a perfect Friday night welcome BBQ (the food was absolutely delicious, the kitchen staff did an amazing job, as did the bar staff) and ensured our guests got just the right introduction to the Central Adirondacks by recommending activities for during the day Saturday before the reception. The owner even led a guided hike Saturday morning!

After breakfast, the staff had to transform the Lodge and grounds on ceremony day and set up the ton of boxes of decorations we brought. It was more perfect than I imagined it could be, including all the little details I envisioned for the reception. So many staff members played a part in it, and for that, I'm so truly grateful! The food was excellent - a feat hard to manage for nearly 100 guests - and the pies were the perfect dessert. They served the bride and groom early, which I very much appreciated :) And breakfast Sunday was amazing - great food, great service, and a perfect way to end the celebration.

Great views and scenery are abundant in the Adirondacks, and Garnet Hill Lodge has those, but it's such a incredibly special place, and the people running it make it that way. It was our perfect wedding spot, and I can't wait to keep going back for getaways and anniversaries!
