    Excellent!!

    I have nothing but kind words for Garnished-Events. Our original Day of Coordinator was unable to help with our wedding about two months before our wedding, and Garnished-Events luckily had availability. I could not be happier with working with them. Sheena was great, organized, and detail-oriented. She thought of things that never crossed my mind. It really helped me out, and it was great that she was able to run with all that I had planned for the wedding so far. She offered suggestions based on her experience, and I was grateful for it. She also had her team, Linda and Alondra with her. They were fantastic to work with as well! I highly recommend hiring her and her team for your event! You will not regret it.

    Beautiful decor, bad communication

    Let us start by saying that on our day, 3.11.22, decor was incredible. Everything was beautiful and as discussed, Garnished Events succeeded in the vision we requested. It was nice to see Sheena at end of the night and thank her for all her hard work on steaming the table cloths, customizing the pearl design on the napkins, and fulfilling our Great Gatsby theme, in addition to the stunning large white feathers. Wow. Nothing but compliments from the guests and us!

    However, communication over the course of several months throughout the process was rough. We often felt like we were bothering them and often went weeks without responses — in addition to being told they were very busy and our wedding wasn’t until March, plus we weren’t their “full bride or client/ couple” since we only paid for decor. The evolving aspect of the bill was also confusing, but when they did explain it, it was helpful.

    While there were some personal situations outside of their control that impeded timely communications, we felt overall that communication wasn’t great. Email can come
    across snarky, but if said with the right tone and message, can make all the difference. That would be our best recommendation for Garnished.

    In addition, we booked this vendor 10 months before our wedding (May) — only to be called a few months before and told we were not in their service area. They found a solution that was no cost to us, but we were very stressed much of the time because it was a huge red flag.

    At the end of the day, our wedding turned out beautiful. So thank you for that. Wishing Garnished and team the best.

    Disappointing

    The communication was hit or miss and often delayed. I was disappointed by the lack of professionalism and quality. Things that were discussed did not appear on the invoice and I was blamed -- this is not good customer service. The attention to detail was lacking and the items I rented were overpriced. I would not recommend this vendor.

    Underwhelmed, overcharged and dissatisfied

    My experience with Garnished Events left much to be desired. Despite having high hopes for a beautifully decorated wedding venue, I was thoroughly disappointed with the services provided. Here's why I cannot recommend this wedding decorator.

    To begin with, communication with Garnished Events was a constant struggle. It often took several days for them to respond to emails or return phone calls, which created unnecessary stress during the planning process. There were multiple instances where I had to follow up multiple times to get a response, leaving me frustrated and concerned about their reliability.

    On the day of the wedding, the decorations fell short of my expectations. The overall design lacked creativity and attention to detail. It felt as though they put minimal effort into the setup. The centerpiece arrangements were haphazardly put together, and some of the flowers appeared scarce and cheap. The lackluster decorations didn't create the ambiance I had envisioned and left me feeling underwhelmed.

    Additionally, there were several errors and inconsistencies with the decorations. The quality of the backdrop linens provided were not the material we discussed, and they were wrinkled! It seemed as though the decorator didn't pay attention to the details outlined during our meetings and failed to execute our vision accurately.

    Furthermore, the decorator's lack of professionalism was apparent throughout the entire process. On the day of the wedding, they arrived late, causing unnecessary stress, and delaying other aspects of the setup. During our walkthrough meeting, which was four months before the wedding, Garnished Events assured they would have a team on the day of to execute the design due to the short time provided by the venue to decorate the space. On the day of, there was only one team member from Garnished Events at the venue to decorate. She seemed disorganized and uncoordinated, which led to a rushed and subpar execution of the decor.

    To make matters worse, when we voiced our concerns and disappointment after the wedding, the decorator showed little interest in addressing our issues. They were dismissive and offered no meaningful solutions or apologies for their shortcomings. Their lack of accountability and customer service left a sour taste in our mouths.

    Overall, my experience with Garnished Events was deeply unsatisfactory. The lack of communication, subpar decorations, errors, and unprofessionalism were significant letdowns. If you're looking for a decorator who will bring your vision to life with creativity, attention to detail, and professionalism, I would advise looking elsewhere.

    YIKES!- We should've hired someone else

    I have conflicting emotions when it comes to reviewing garnished events. Generally, I prefer not to leave negative feedback as I don't want to harm someone's business. However, in this particular case, I believe it is necessary. We had booked Sheena Lee several months in advance for the coordination of our wedding ceremony and reception. My wife had provided her with all the necessary information and details regarding the tasks involved. The days leading up the event we had tried to contact Sheena multiple times via email and phone but were unable to get in touch with her.

    Regrettably, Sheena did not fulfill her role in coordinating our guests for the photography sessions during the reception. We had a guest list in place to ensure everything ran smoothly, yet she even asked my sister-in-law to step in and perform some of her duties. Moreover, Sheena failed to print out the documentation containing the specifics of the table decorations for our guests, despite having verbally agreed to assist my wife with this task. It was disheartening for my wife, who had invested a significant amount of time planning these details and had sent them to Sheena in advance. If we had known that she wouldn't follow through, we would have hired our stage decorator to handle these responsibilities.

    To her credit, Sheena did resolve an issue with the last-minute table stand flowers, which was commendable. However, during the reception, she lacked a clear timeline of events, neglecting to inform my in-laws about when their speech would take place and other pertinent information. Consequently, my mother-in-law was unable to deliver her meticulously prepared speech at our wedding. Moreover, we experienced delays in adhering to our strict timeline throughout the reception. Sheena did help us dismantle the table decorations, but her overall presence at the event seemed lacking, and it appeared as though she wasn't fully focused on the task at hand.

    Considering our experience, I'm hesitant to recommend Sheena's services. We invested a considerable amount of money and were ultimately disappointed with the outcome.

    Major blow-up 1.5 months away from my wedding!!

    I originally contacted them for my wedding in May in Gaithersburg MD. After I paid my deposit, we had to change venues, so our date also changed. I contacted Sheena in January to make sure that was ok and gave them the new date and location, then I emailed them the same. They contacted me the same day with a contract. I signed and paid the full balance. They sent me an email saying thank you. Today, FIVE MONTHS LATER, Sheena insisted that I made a mistake because I originally told them Gaithersburg, even with proof of email and asked that I hire more staff or pay mileage for "my error." She was extremely condescending, trying to make it seem like she was coming up with a solution, but really kept just blaming me for them not realizing it was a different location. I was understandably upset and trying to understand how this happened, and she was even insinuating this was my error, and she kept making comments like "are you done?" I asked if she could explain how that was my error, she refused. Then when I demanded a refund she hung up while saying "you're the one who filled out the paperwork wrong."
