    Geno's was a total life saver for our wedding! They were unbelievably accommodating. Staff is knowledgeable, professional, kind, and so helpful! We rented suits for our groomsmen, ties for ushers and ring bearers, and a suit for my dad. I also went back and purchased my wedding jewelry there, too! Great company!

    Geno's was the perfect choice for our wedding day attire! We ordered our bridesmaids dress and tuxedos through them. Our bridesmaids dresses fit perfectly! For our tuxedos they offered us a groom free preview where we could go in and select different styles to see which ones we wanted for our wedding. I would highly recommend Geno's to anyone!

    I used Geno's Formal Affair, primarily the Southland Drive Store in Lexington KY with Carrie as my contact person for my recent wedding. They provided our tuxedo rentals for the day. As the groom, I had a fantastic experience. Carrie was exceptionally helpful, preventing my already stressed bride from having to spend any more precious time worrying about groomsmen attire. They were accommodating, understanding of my inability to make decisions, and had everything ready to go several days before our wedding. Several of us had small complaints which were immediately corrected without hassle. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for wedding party tuxedo rental.

    We used Genos on Southland Drive in Lexington, KY to outfit our grooms party for our wedding. Ms. Carrie Thomas did an amazing job. They were affordable, personable, and the tuxedos were great quality. We looked into Macy's and Men's Wearhouse and Genos was significantly better in all aspects.

    HIGHLY RECOMMEND/EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!!! We recently went through Geno's Formal Affair for all of our wedding party's attire. The tuxes were of HIGH QUALITY and looked fantastic on all of the groomsmen, who ranged in size. Our wedding party were spread out in several stated, but Geno's made ordering both the groomsmen and bridesmaids attire a breeze. Their customer service truly exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We will certainly be recommending them to our family and friends, as well as using them in the future for formal attire needs.

    I had all my grooms friends and my dad go there to get their tuxs their and I was extremely impressed how they were so easy to work with. I thought it was going to be extremely stressful it was not even a little they had tuxs sent over that I wanted to just see from other locations and that really impressed me how above and beyond they went to make sure we had exactly what we wanted all the way down to the socks!

    The tuxes looked great and fit well! They offered great deals, so the groom's tux was free and the others were reasonably piced (some were discounted even more!). Geno's has several locations in Lexington that made it easy for the men to get fitted. For out of towners, they provided a convenient post card that the men could take to any men's tuxedo shop to record their measurments and then mail in.
    I also used Geno's to order bridesmaids dresses. (They carry many of the major designers.) They even gave the bridesmaids a discount on the dresses since we ordered the tuxes there! It was easy to match the colors of the tux vests and the bridesmaids dresses since the swatches were there in one store. The staff was very helpful, too!

    Our tuxedos for our groomsmen were a little more expensive than expected, even with some money off from spinning a wheel at the bridal show.

    We had some big and tall guys in our party and we were sent to the warehouse to find jackets for them. Great!!

    We rented the guys ties and vests from Genos on Southland Drive. They were so helpful and patient with picking out colors with us. When we needed to make changes just a few days before the wedding, they took care of it without any worries. They were great to work!

    If you decide to go with Geno's, make sure you go to the bridal fairs beforehand and get coupons from them.

    Geno's was wonderful for the suits we used in our wedding. They were very helpful and accommodating with some of our party being from out of town and for those who had never bought a suit before. I would highly recommend and they are local.

    We were looking for vests and matching bow ties. The vests were going to be cheaper if we purchased them, however there was no guarantee that there would be enough to match all the groomsmen and groom in the appropriate sizes. To rent was much more expensive.

    Poor Service / Sloppy with details

    My Tux was way too small, 5 inches too short in the leg, waist too small and coat sleeve came halfway between my elbow and wrist. I went back to get altered and the store was closed so i had to wear a personal suite as father of the groom. Upon returning it i asked for a refund and they refused, making excuses and telling me they were friends with other people in the wedding party and wouldn't want this to come between their friendship (had nothing to do with my situation). The owner refused to give a refund saying they were low on workers and that he wasn't given a chance to fix it. It was obvious they didn't use the measurements taken and very sloppily handled. Other Tux's in the party didn't fit as well. They also have 2 sets of store hours posted so make sure and don't mistaken one for the other. I will not be going back.

    If looking for tuxes, avoid like the plague

    I hate writing negative reviews, but I couldn't have had a worse experience renting for my wedding and I feel it needs to be shared.

    TLDR: the staff is nice enough but if you are renting a tuxedo for a formal affair, avoid this place like the plague. I’m sure they’re great for suits or maybe women’s attire, but not tuxedos.

    The staff were all very friendly, and when I registered for tuxedos, they walked me through some style options (lapel type, vest or cummerbund, shoes ect.) Including shoes, the total was ~ $250 PP. I really appreciated that they let the groomsmen come in for fittings or I could send in measurements for the out of towners.

    As the wedding approached I realized I was mysteriously muff on details as I discussed with my fiancé and the wedding planner. Geno’s sent me home with an order number and not much else. When I called to have some questions answered, I wasn't given much clarity.

    Ultimately, I ended up texting with an associate for days trying to find out basic information about what was included in the tuxedo rental. If I hadn't, we likely wouldn't have had studs or cuff links included, and a couple groomsmen would have been without shoes.

    Geno's apparently rents a standard tuxedo, that IMO doesn’t meet the definition of a tux. Their "tuxedo" rental has multiple issues or features that I feel other customers should be aware of, that were not advertised to me, as you don’t get to try on the actual rental model you will be wearing before renting:

    -Pants do not have the matching accent fabric/stripes that typically run down the side of tux pants

    -Pants have beltloops? One of the major differentiating features between tuxedo pants and slacks is that tux pants do not have belt loops

    - The tuxedo shirts are more than less plain dress shirts. They don't have any texture/bibs on the front (pleats, pique, ruffles, ect.)

    -The tuxedo shirts are barrel cuffs, not French cuff. While they do have a way to insert cuff-links and studs, they still have all the buttons in place and are not removable, just like a typical dress shirt, not a tuxedo shirt.

    Other things to note for renters, you can’t rent bracers/suspenders, socks are not included, and pocket squares are extra.

    Additionally, when trying on the rentals, my groomsmen had all kinds of issues and were required to drive to the warehouse themselves to get replacements.

    When I expressed concerns with the "tuxedo" I was informed that this was their standard tuxedo rental and all that Geno's carried in stock. I was clearly unhappy, with three days to go before my wedding. I expressed multiple times my primary concern was that the tuxedo pants should have a stripe down the side and shouldn’t have beltloops.

    After being rebuffed multiple times, I was finally informed that that "style" was only in their warehouse because most men chose not to wear it anymore, and they didn't recommend it since the pants were "balloonish" and didn't fit well.

    The other wrinkle, was that the tuxedo pants in the warehouse did not match the existing jackets, which were notch lapels for my groomsmen and a shawl collar for me, so all of us would have to switch to peak lapels.

    At this point, multiple hours in, my pre-wedding stress got the better of me so I started calling around to see if anyone could rush new rentals in time. I found a couple, but since some of my groomsmen were traveling from out of town and couldn’t get fitted in store, I'd have to supply their measurements myself.

    No problem, I thought. I'll just get their measurements from Geno's. When I asked for the measurements of the groomsmen who were not in Lexington already, they refused to provide them to me since Geno’s knew I was going to a competitor.

    After the full day affair, with close-of-business rapidly approaching, I ultimately decided to switch all my groomsmen to the peak lapel tuxedos at Geno’s (with the correct pants). I just ate the deposit I paid with Geno’s, and paid to FedEx overnight a tuxedo from Men’s warehouse that had a matching shawl-collar jacket and tux pants.
