We absolutely loved having our elopement ceremony at the train station. Tracy was our point of contact and she was absolutely wonderful! We arranged everything from TN. Tracy checked in with us several times leading up to the ceremony and was there the entire time the day of our ceremony! Highly recommend this venue! It's a hidden gem in Gettysburg

I can not recommend this venue enough for a wedding! The Visitor Center and the surrounding park made for a unforgettable backdrop for our daughter's wedding. The town of Gettysburg and tours, provided more than enough for our guest to do before the wedding. Debbie Joyner was our event planner. Truly, Debbie is incredible and the phenomenal success of our wedding was because of her expertise and efforts! Suzanne Curtain was our representative from Aramark catering. They worked beautifully together and brought a team effort to honor every request and changes to those requests throughout the months of planning. We live in Baltimore and I never once felt the distance to be a problem. They cared about our daughter's big day as much as we did. Our flowers came from The Flower Boutique in Gettysburg. Mary Beth, from the flower shop, was incredibly accommodating. Again, Debbie and Mary Beth worked as a team, making the whole experience stress free. I wanted the fireplace mantle to be filled with candles, flowers and greens. Together, they made it absolutely perfect. Any request was met with enthusiasm and honesty about what would work and what wouldn't. Our guests loved the food, the atmosphere, and the fact that we were using the entire Visitor Center throughout the evening. Museum areas included! Many commented on how they felt very 'taken care of' by the entire staff that night. The Sevens Salon in Gettysburg was where the bride maids spent their day getting make-up done flawlessly by Talitha Collado and perfectly styled hair by the talented staff. The salon allowed us to bring in a tasty catered lunch from the restaurant Food 101, right down the street. and a cooler of water & mimosas! I would highly recommend the Visitor Center and the other services I have mentioned for your wedding without reservation!

Working with Debbie and the staff st the GNMP Museum & Visitor Center for our reception was wonderful! We had already lost two venues due to poor communication by the time we found Debbie and she just made everything easy for us. The reception was absolutely beautiful and having after hours access to the museum during the reception was something our guests really enjoyed. Thank you so much!

We are so glad we decided to host our wedding reception at the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center. The museum is fantastic for starters and the staff is exceptional. The museum is large and offers different spaces to host your event. We decided on the refreshment saloon, which features a beautiful fireplace and attached patio. The cocktail hour was hosted in the museum lobby which allowed guests to easily view the museum during that time. The museum was fully staffed for our event and our guests had access to the entire museum the whole night. The catering associated with the venue is fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious and we received several compliments from guests. The linens and table decor were breathtaking! Thank you to the site coordinators, Debbie and Tracy, for making our wedding everything we'd hoped it would be!

Outstanding facility and staff!!! Recently we held the Austin Healey Club of America and Austin Healey Sports and Touring Club's Enclave event at the facility. We had over 450 event attendees who had nothing but praise for the Center, film, cyclorama, museum, food service, bookstore and staff. Debbie Joiner and her entire staff were easy to work with and full of suggestions to enhance the overall event. Bruce Reinke and the Aramark team prepared outstanding hors d'oeuvres which were substantial enough to serve as dinner for most attendees.

When we started looking for a venue, we visited just about every option in the area. The Gettysburg Visitor Center doesn't seem like a typical place to have a wedding reception and that is exactly why we chose it. "A Night At the Museum" was a terrific backdrop for our friends and family to both enjoy our day and get VIP access to the wonderful history. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! The Grounds, the facilities, everything well maintained, roomy, and classy. It is hard to imagine at first when visiting with tourists everywhere, but the way Debby and Tracy transformed the place for us, it turned out beautiful and everyone commented on how nice it was to be part of the ceremony, but have so much to see; perfect for when you want to take a break from dancing et al. The added bonus is to have Debby and Tracy to work with. When we came to them at first, Debby took the stress off our plate and took care of EVERYTHING. From getting things organized, set up, ordered, to making sure that everything was running smoothly during the day, Debby and Tracy gave us 110% the whole to make sure our day was perfect...and it was. This facility is unique, fun, interesting, and professionally managed from start to finish, giving us more smiles and less worry. I highly recommend!!!

I would say there couldn't have been a better place to have pictures and my wedding ceremony in Gettysburg ... Outside but still under a perfect pavilion and in a central location where guests enjoyed walking around after and before wedding ! Great for pictures because of its historical buildings and great fun atmosphere! The staff were friendly at the train station and welcoming with open arms to help us plan our day! Thanks again Tracey who did a wonderful job coordinating the wedding at the location!! This place is close to many other locations to use for reception or you can simply have your reception rigt there ! The weather was nice because your not under any sunlight .. And the buildings create shade !!! It was 80 degrees and we didn't feel that at all!

Tracy Cromeans was awesome. It was nice having her once assigned. They accommodated us very well. It was totally on us, but we had tentatively (in our mind) scheduled a conference room at the Visitors Center. We failed to call to confirm. In the time, the room was booked. Service above and beyond would have contacted us before booking the event. This was more on us, but if you are looking to improve, that may have been a courteous thing to do. The scheduling with the Battlefield Guide was a bit awkward. You can book directly with a guide (which I did). However, he wasn't responsive. I then booked the same guide through the center. I think it would be extremely beneficial if the events staff had a list of guides that were the best for specific topics and there could be some coordination between the corporation and the guide in advance. Feel free to contact me if you need any further explanations. We will defiantly do future events and would like to improve the process.
