  Delicious end to our perfect night

  For my wedding in May 2019, we hired Giancarlo Fine European Pastries to create an authentic Swiss wedding cake. My husband and I had very high standards after tasting my late Master Pastry Chef grandfather’s cakes for years. But Giancarlo blew it out of the park with taste and looks. We also wanted real flowers to be added to our cake and he was able to do it at the venue. He was on time, set up the cake perfectly, and was easy to work with. We loved that they saved a layer of the cake for us to take home and eat after! We hope to be eating Giancarlo’s pastries for years to come!

  Giancarlo was one of the recommended bakeries provided to us by our venue. I have never had a better looking or tasting cake in my life! For months after the tasting, I was dreaming about getting to eat that cake on my wedding day. Their pricing is fair, and they are so pleasant to work with. anyone looking for even a birthday cake within 30 miles of this bakery is CHEATING themselves by not going to them. A true 5 star-worthy bakery.

  Giancarlo is the nicest man!
  He uses quality ingredients in his fabulous cakes and pastries while offering unbelievably reasonable prices.
  
  My husband and I had visited a few well-known bakeries in the Albemarle County-Augusta County areas but were disappointed at the lack of attention and customer service they provided.
  
  With Giancarlo, he takes the time to actually LISTEN and go through photos and ideas with you. In addition, he provides tastings at his shop to receive immediate feedback and communication in addition to providing you with cakes to take home with you to sample and discuss privately. When creating a cake he will talk with you about fruits and ingredients that are in season to offer you the freshest ingredients at the best prices while also maintaining flexibility to whatever your taste buds desire!
  
  Giancarlo is also extremely flexible and responsive. After we had decided on a cake, its size, and its shape, I had re-visited Giancarlo a couple of months later to add a surprise cake topper for my husband. Giancarlo was extremely open minded and friendly about the change and excitedly went over how we could modify the size and shape of the cake to accommodate the topper. The cake came out better than I could ever dream and our cake is one of the first things our guests continue to reflect and talk about! The beauty and yumminess of our cake impressed everyone.
  
  A more friendly, attentive, and quality wedding cake experience will be hard to find--Giancarlo is awesome!

  Giancarlo makes such delicious cakes! We got their flavor "wedding cake", which, even though I'm not a huge fan of raspberries, was so delicious! He and his wife have lots of photos to show you if you're not sure how you want your cake to look as well as so many flavors to choose from. He uses the best ingredients and the cake was so light rather than overly filling. Nothing but compliments on the cake!

  Wow is all I can say about this vendor. The cake was pricey but well worth it. It was delivered and set up perfectly and looked amazing!!!! We had tried this cake before and could not get over the freshness of the wedding cake. We had the traditional " wedding cake" with four tiers of different shapes and it was a huge success at our wedding. This is not your average dry wedding cake consisting of chocolate or vanilla and is on a much higher class than what most people are used to.

  I am not a huge cake fan and we had tried several different bakeries but when we tried this place we knew we had to use them. The cakes are absolutely amazing. His cakes can be expensive but he is willing to work with you to help find a cake in your budget. We received so many compliments on his cakes throughout the evening and even our vendor said they get so excited seeing one of his cakes walk through the door- they said he was their favorite. I think that speaks pretty highly of his cakes considering they host a wedding almost every weekend. He has his bakery out of the back of his home and works together with his wife, They will allow you to come in for a cake tasting or you may pre order a 6 inch cake. I cannot recommend him enough. Ours was a vanilla cake with a raspberry filling.
