  The staff at the Gilmore Theatre Complex helped make my dream-wedding a reality. They worked directly with us to ensure that every detail was as we asked, and allowed us to contribute as much as we wanted.
  The lighting and effects were exquisite; our guests were blown away. The cost of renting the facility was a bit high, considering the facility does not provide tables, chairs, etc. However, the venue was is so completely unique and magical that I do not regret a spending a single penny.

  We had our reception at the Gilmore Theater Complex. It was an amazing venue! It is a theater with theatrical lighting and theater dressing rooms for getting ready there. There was a lighting director that controlled the lighting all night long and would spot light or dim the lights to set the mood! We fell in love with the venue the first time we visited it and the pricing was very low considering what you get. We do not recommend leaving personal belongings in the dressing rooms as the building is open to students on WMU's campus. We had a few items stollen during our reception. The perfection of this venue out-shined the thefts.

  My wedding was beautiful and had the theme I wanted, we loved the spot lights and the cloth hanging from the ceiling. My biggest problem was with actually ever talking to the workers to set up our wedding plans. They never responded to phone calls or messages. It was basically last minute that they got in contact with us. The only time I ever have had good responsiveness from them is when I was giving my deposit and when they were collecting the money for renting the theater. So if you are fine with being patient and making tons of phone calls this will work for you. It will be beautiful and be a very unique and special day, which is what the goal is.
