  Above and Beyond from Start to Finish

  Gingi was such a joy to work with! There were so many things about working with Gingi (and Jonathan) that exceeded our expectations. We were able to do a site walk-through of our venue and the separate location where we wanted to do our first look with Gingi, which was a huge plus for feeling comfortable the day of our wedding and ironing out last-minute timeline details as things got finalized the week of our wedding. Though we only booked Gingi, she ended up bringing Jonathan as a second shooter which was a wonderful surprise. Our photos are stunning, truly captured our day authentically, and we got them back early! We felt comfortable with them both all day long, and Gingi provided just the right amount of gentle coaching for our portraits. Her guidance made us look great - we look natural and like ourselves. On top of it all, Gingi's rates are beyond competitive for the PNW, and she was responsive and helpful throughout our planning. You will not regret working with this team!

  Do you believe in magic? 💫

  I cannot express enough what a wonderful experience it was to have The Freemans capture one of the most important days of our lives. To say that they checked every box of what we were looking for would be a huge understatement. The professionalism, kindness, and creativity shown to us was unmatched. Gingi takes the time to understand your vision and I felt completely at ease knowing that we were in great hands. We truly felt like we could relax and enjoy the day. The photos we received are stunning and everything we hoped for. Our wedding was very unorthodox and unique and The Freemans were so innovative in the way that they captured the mood and aesthetic we were aiming for. Truly a joy to work with them both and I would highly recommend them to anyone! We were blessed to find them so quickly. From the first time we talked, I knew it was a wrap! Thank you so much Gingi and Jonathan from the bottom of our hearts.

  All I could've asked for!

  Oh. My. Goodness. Gingi was such an amazing help on our wedding day! Not only were her photos completely wonderful (we have gotten so many compliments on our photos), but in those in between moments she was there to help out in the small ways too (ie. emergency scissors!). From beginning to end Gingi was professional and so sweet! Thank you for being helpful with guiding my crazy family through that hectic and also completely lovely day. I couldn't have asked for more. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives!

  Amazing photographer!

  Gingi and Jonathan did such an amazing job photographing our engagement session and wedding! They were so fun to work with and they made the experience so fun and pleasurable. For someone who hates taking pictures and was dreading the process, she made it so fun and painless! We received all of our photos in the time promised and they turned out amazing!

  The most amazing photographer in the universe!

  I first met Gingi when she photographed my best friends wedding. We had so much fun taking photos and she was able to capture every moment perfectly. Two years later, about a month ago, I finally tried the knot myself. I knew immediately that I needed to call Gingi. My wedding photos are of course, gorgeous and she captured some special moments between myself and people I haven't seen in years, without me even noticing a picture was being taken. She is the queen of candids and basically an artist. I definitely recommend her for future events!

  Search no more, Gingi is the best!

  Both our engagement shoot and wedding pictures were absolutely phenomenal and my wife and I couldn't be happier.
  Gingi did such a wonderful job from start to finish and we are extremely grateful to have chosen her to photograph our life memories.
  There wasn't a time when looking at the pictures where we thought " I wish she would have gotten .... " because she really did capture it all for us.
  You can tell she really does care about the results and making the whole experience as easy as possible for her clients. She truly cares and it shows. Hands down, we would ask her to be our photographer again because she knocked it out of the park for us on so many different levels. With her responsiveness, suggestions, organization, depth knowledge in her art, and so many other aspects we would be crazy not to have her capture our memories again. If we had to do it all over, she would be our first and only pick.

  Gingi was so easy to work with and very flexible. There was a lot of unexpected things that popped up on my wedding day causing the ceremony to be pushed back an hour, and Gingi was so awesome and go with the flow. She really helped put me at ease and made me feel comfortable, even when I had a swarm of fire ants in my gown😳 trust me, she can handle anything! The pictures were gorgeous. There was a second shooter, and we got our pictures in a timely manner. The online album is easy to navigate and FILLED with hundreds and hundreds of beautiful pictures. She captured all the best moments and it’s just so raw and real. Seriously, I couldn’t ask for a better person to capture my big day. We love Gingi!!!

  Gingi Freeman Photography - high quality and easy to work with!

  When picking our wedding photographer, we wanted someone who would work with our plan and capture our day in a way that made us think they weren’t even there and that’s what Gingi did. Communication from Gingi was thorough. Response time time was very quick. Meeting with Gingi in person, emailing or texting made asking questions and setting up our “day-off” plan very easy. Gingi explained everything she could do for us in great detail. She worked well with our other vendors. She sent us a personalized wedding packet in the mail with a questionnaire, a checklist for pictures we wanted taken, our contract, etc. it was super cute and very much made us feel special! We received a sneakpeek of our pictures less than a week after the wedding. She is easy to talk to and made my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. She doesn’t micromanage and was beyond flexible in working with us! She’s great, get her name out there!

  Absolutely IN LOVE with the work Gingi does. Her and her husband Jonathon were so easy to work with and made sure to capture everything we wanted and more. Very flexible with some last minute changes we had to our timeline. I would definitely recommend her on your big day!

  I was so incredibly lucky to have found Gingi and her husband Jonathan to photograph our wedding! Gingi captured every detail in the most beautiful way that when I looked back at my photos, her journalistic approach made me feel as if I was reliving the experience. She and Jonathan were an absolute pleasure and I highly recommend them. Her work says it all!

  Gingi and John were amazing. They were friendly and fun. We only had them for the minimum 4 hours, assuming that pictures from guests would be good enough for the non-formal photos. The guest photos turned out fine, but I wish we would have had Gingi there the whole time. The difference between the photos she and John took and the photos our guests took is significant, both in quality and creativity. I didn't know there was such a big difference between professional photos and photos from hobbyists (even ones with good cameras).

  Excellent EXCELLENT pictures!! They really know how to capture the really special moments that you want to remember. Rather than basic portrait photos (which can be a little stale), they go out of their way to take really fun, beautiful, and magical photos that are full of life!

  Gingi & Jonathan are amazing! They are the sweetest couple! Both very professional but not in an uptight way at all. I am always really awkward infront of a camera, but they made me feel so at ease. Most of the time I didn't even know they were taking pictures! And when it was time for some posed shots, it was so relaxed! Gingi has such an eye for the little details and she is so easy to work with. They captured our wedding day so beautifully! I look at the pictures and am just in blown away that they were able to capture all of the things I wanted with such elegance. Our wedding day was perfect and our photographers were THE BEST! I would highly recommend Retrospective Imagery to ANYONE! We had 3 weddings the summer of 2012, we were in 2 and ours was the third, and not to brag but our pictures are BY FAR the BEST! And our photographers were the easiest to deal with, the nicest and most polite! My family thought they were friends of ours! Thank you so much Gingi and Jonathan!

  My husband and I planned a wedding in South Lake Tahoe from our home in Texas - we found Retrospective Imagery through a random internet search, and didn't even meet them until our wedding day! We definitely lucked out - they were well priced, and you can tell they love what they do. Gingi and Skye took SO many photos, it was tough to pick our favorite ones - there were so many! They definitely captured the love my husband have for each other, and the energy from the entire evening. Do yourself a favor and book them for your event!

  Gingi & Jonathan are both wonderful people and wonderful photographers. We found them after our photographer flaked out on us less than 2 months before the wedding. I was pretty upset and stressed out. Thankfully they were free on my day. We met them a few weeks before the wedding to discuss all the details. They both made us feel so comfortable that I knew they were perfect for us.   I loved her work and her profesionalism, she also made everyone feel comfortable the whole time. I will cherish my pictures forever and I plan on hiring her for every single professional picture I need in the future.

  If I could've, I would've given Retrospective Imagery even higher ratings. My family and I have had several different shoots done by them and we've NEVER been disappointed. I highly recommend them to ANYONE looking to have professional pictures taken.

  i cannot tell you how pleased i am with gingi's service! i LOVED having her shoot my wedding! the pictures are wonderful and completely captured the feel of the day. gingi was kind, fun, and not intrusive on our ceremony or reception. i would recommend her to anyone getting married!
