  Adhari was absolutely awesome! I am a person who does not wear a lot of make-up so when I contacted Adhari, I told her that I wanted my make-up to look beautiful and natural for my wedding. I also showed her a few pictures of the look that I wanted. She took my input and she nailed it! My make-up was simple, classic and beautiful!!!! Just the way I wanted for my wedding day!
  She also did my mom, my sister and my bridesmaids' make-up and everyone looked fantastic!
  Thank you so much Adhari!!!!
  I strongly recommend using her for your wedding day! Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

  I wanted to write a quick review to say thank you to Adhari and to make sure other NJ brides know how wonderful she is- so they book her ASAP
  
  THANK YOU so much for doing the make-up on 10/2. As you know, my girls just absolutely adored you, and they were so happy you were onsite with us that day. They- and I- trusted you completely. They all felt and looked gorgeous- they talked about it all day/night.
  
  Adhari blew my expectations away when it came to my make-up. The trial was beautiful, but the day-of make-up was just so insanely gorgeous, bridal, beautiful, you name it. It was off the charts. She helped me feel so beautiful- on the most important day! And she was able to accommodate my nervousness, which is just another testament to her expertise and professionalism.
  
  I haven't seen many professional pics yet, but from what I saw, my makeup was just gorgeous. And most importantly, I knocked my groom's socks off, lol. He thought I looked so beautiful- he was so happy. Thank you.
  
  You are about to take off, Adhari, and I can't wait to be able to say "I knew you when..." ;)

  I cannot explain how happy I was with Adhari's work, I would recommend her to everyone, hands down! Adhari, not only stayed longer than she was contracted to, she followed me outdoors in the heat to constantly fix my makeup when sweat would ruin it because it was one of the MOST humid days of the entire summer. I like my makeup natural and she totally got that and made me look not only natural but amazing. I wish I could afford her everyday because when she does my makeup I feel like a model.

  Adhari is AAAMMAAZZING!!!! She has done my makeup for a few occasions and I look fabulous each and every time!! I just show her what I'm wearing and let her work her magic. That's how much I trust her creativity and work!!
  She is prompt with replying to emails and phone calls. Arrived and finished on time with out anyone feeling rushed. We had a great time conversing with her. She had TONS of makeup and everything was clean and organized!! Hands down would recommend her to friends and family (which I have and they are all just as satisfied) Can't wait for another event to get my makeup done!! Love her and her work!!

  I would hands down recommend Adhari Edwards and Gloss and Shadow for anyone who needs make-up services. I have never had my make-up done professionally (except at one of those make-up and hair birthday parties when I was like ten years old) and the experience was great. I was a little nervous because I do not wear a lot of make-up on a day to day basis, usually just some powder and a little eyeshadow and lipstick, so getting my whole face done with eyelashes and the whole nine yards was a little nerve racking.
  
  I showed Adhari a few pictures, and told her I wanted a more understated look, but definitely enough make-up to hold up to being photographed, and she nailed it! During the trial I made some suggestions for the eyelashes and eye shadow and she made the slight changes and I loved my make-up. My mother and one of my bridesmaids also got their make-up done and they loved it as well. I got so many compliments from guests at my wedding saying that my make-up was done beautifully, but that I still looked like myself even though I don't wear a lot of make-up usually. She nailed it and the make-up lasted beautifully all night even though I was a sweaty mess from dancing all night.
  
  Adhari is professional and such a nice person. I found out my wedding venue was the same as hers so we had a lot to talk about. But most of all her make-up is fabulous and lasts! I would definitely recommend her services and will definitely contact her the next time I need my make-up done!

  Adhari Edwards, hands down, is the best makeup artist anyone can have on their wedding day. My wedding was in the Long Beach Island area and she traveled to my location. She even traveled for my convenience to a central location for my makeup trial! She is beyond accommodating! Adhari and her assistant Grace were punctual and stayed on time throughout makeup applications on 13 people!! We all know how important a time table is for the wedding day. She did not short-change anyone with their time in the chair however. Every single one of my girls looked amazing! She brought out the beauty in them all. They all became glamorous versions of themselves. They loved how they looked! I have been a bridesmaid numerous times and have suffered through horrible makeup applications. Believe me, you and your girls will love the way you look! As far as my makeup, I was so very, very happy. Beyond the moon happy! I felt so gorgeous and glamorous. She made me look like a model in a magazine! I felt so very beautiful! My fiance', now husband, was concerned that I was not going to look like myself. Well, I have to happily say, when he saw me for the first time, he had tears of happiness in his eyes. He told me I was so beautiful and that he loved that I still looked like myself and Adhari had brought out all my best features. Plus, the best part is that the makeup lasted ALL DAY! I didn't got to bed until 4:30am that night and the makeup was still on! I was able to save the eyelashes and had fabulous eyes for my brunch the next morning! I got so many compliments on my makeup! My only regret is that I can't have Adhari do my makeup everyday!! You can tell that Adhari Edwards loves what she does because it comes out in her work. You can not go wrong if you hire her for your wedding! She will make you look like you have always dreamed. I know because she did it for me!

  Adhari is without a doubt the best make-up person I've ever met. I am a person who does not wear a lot make-up, I had my make-up done elsewhere prior to my trial with Adhari. It was caked so heavy on my face I looked horrible so I was nervous. When she did my make-up it looked natural and I looked beautiful! I booked her immediately without having any other trials! On my wedding day, she arrived extra early to set up. She was so professional and managed to get everyone done in perfect time (even with some of my girls running late.) All my bridesmaids and my mom looked gorgeous and I could not have been happier!
  I loved her so much, I used her again after my wedding day and will use her again when I need to.

  I ended up working with some crazy people I might not have worked with again for my wedding but Adhari was definitely not one of them. She was amazing. From the start, she was always available through email which was most convenient for me and helped me find a great stylist to do my hair as well. I was nervous about getting too made up and not having a good idea of what I wanted since I don't wear a lot of makeup but she knew exactly what would look good on me and I was so at ease after the trial. I only wish I had somewhere to go looking that gorgeous. She was very easy to work with and wanted to make me and all my ladies happy. My mom looked amazing and our makeup lasted all day and all night. All I needed was to touch up my lips and she gave me a new bottle of lip gloss to take with me. She even accommodated one of the bridesmaids who decided she wanted her makeup done at the last minute. I got so many comments about how beautiful I looked that day and I felt absolutely amazing. She really brought the whole look together and make me so calm and relaxed for those last few hours before the ceremony.

  I was recommended to Adhari from my sister who was a bridesmaid of a friend and had her makeup done by her. My sister loved the makeup so much that she said that I needed to hire her for my wedding; and she was right. Adhari is so amazingly talented. My makeup was flawless and made me look gorgeous throughout my wedding night. I usually worry that my makeup would run off and look oily (since I have oily skin) but that wasn’t the case here. My skin was flawless! She was also very punctual (a plus!) and very professional. She made me feel calm before my ceremony. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family for our next event. She is a QUALITY makeup artist.

I admit I just don’t know what to use or how to put it on. What I especially loved is that Adhari made me look so natural yet the make up lasted through the night. Adhari helped boost my confidence and many people told me my make up was beautiful. She was on time, worked within the time frame we gave her and also accommodated last minute requests from my bridal party. This helped make the experience seamless.

  Adhari is an amazing makeup artist! She applied the makeup for myself and my 6 bridesmaids and we never looked (or felt) better in our lives! All throughout the wedding I kept receiving compliments about how natural and flawless my makeup appeared. Despite rising temperatures and running around for pictures, Adhari kept me looking the same as when I had walked down the aisle. I would definitely recommend Adhari's services because her efficiency, professionalism and dedication will show in her work on your big day.

  Adhari did my makeup as well as my girls and my moms for my wedding not only was she amazing but she really listened to what we all wanted and gave us just that and then some I am so glad she was there to help top off our looks!! We looked gorgeous thanks to her!!!!

  Adhari's work is amazing! Upon meeting her while going through the make-up vendor process, I immediately felt comfortable with her. She took the time to listen to my likes and dislikes (I love make-up but I am very self conscience about coverage and it lasting as I have some adult acne), and she is very personable. After meeting with some other vendors I felt her pricing, work and creativity was the most exceptional. I booked my trial the same day as my bachelorette party (suggested by Adhari) which was great bc I got to see her work on me and able to test the longevity of it for my special night. It looked great, and lasted the way I wanted. She really knows her stuff, you can feel comfortable about any tweaks you may want to make as well.
  The day of my wedding she took care of me, my 5 bridesmaids and my mother. She was more then prepared, on time (i believe she may have actually been 10-15 min early) and done with some time to spare without rushing through anyone. She was meticulous about everyone being dressed after their application and still checking everyone to ensure everything was on point. Everyone looked beautiful and felt great. I especially was very confident in my make-up that day and had no worries.
  I have to say Gloss & Shadow is the best bang for your buck and still maintains the highest level of quality.

  Adhari is amazing! My bridal party was GORGEOUS thanks to her and her assistant Janna, my bridesmaids wanted to look HOT and they made it happen! I could not have dreamed for my girls and mothers to look more beautiful! She was so calming and attentive the morning of the wedding it was an awesome experience!

  Awesome!!!!!! My bridesmaids, family and I looked perfect!!! I loved my make-up so much that at the end of the night I didn't want to take it off!!!! SHe is great!! I would use Gloss andShadow again for my make-up for my next big event!!!

  Best Make up Artist around! Adhari is not only talented, she has the best personality. Me and my girls had so much fun getting dolled up with her. I am not a make up person - and was worried about that heavy make up feeling - nope! it was light and i didnt feel it at all. my eyes looked amazing with the fake lashes - i cant say enough! if you want your wedding day to start off great - trust Gloss and Shadow!!!

Since then, Adhari has done my make-up for my baby shower, my maternity pics, and other weddings. Because of how amazing she is, my mom and I now have Adhari come to my house to do our make-up for all of our events. She is uh-ma-zing!!! Not only is she a great make-up artist, she is also a total sweetheart and so much fun!
