    I can’t think of any other travel agency I would ever use. Going Places is the best!

    Best Vacations!

    Love booking vacations with Going Places! This is the second vacation that we have booked and Effie has always been amazing. We originally planned a honeymoon in Jamaica but due to COVID-19 we had to receive a refund and rebook. The process was long but it was refreshing when everything was all done. We were able to book our honeymoon to Jamaica for October with no problems.

    Our travel agent was Katherine. She was very knowledgeable about the resorts and places we were interested in. She provided us with traveling advice and made us aware of the best excursions to take. She was always ready and willing to answer any of questions throughout the planning process. We will definitely use her again for our future travels.

    Catherine was awesome.. Very helpful and tentative! She helped us find the right place for our honeymoon that met our desires! We have used her several times after our honeymoon as well!

    Will steal your money

    This is a doozie, in summary they are a waste of time and theft of money.
    We used Going Places for my Honeymoon to Jamaica.

    The biggest issue is I'm still waiting 2 months now for a refund of over $1,000 for an error on their part. In December we booked a trip to Sandals Jamaica for 6 of our family members. 3 of us wanted to take the Open Water dive class, and had Going Places Inc add it to our reservation. We never realized until at the dive shop that they booked us for Advanced open water. So we had to pay AGAIN for the Open Water Dive. "7-10 business day's" was the quote of my refund. Again..... this was December and as of February 7th I am still missing my money.

    Moving on from the loss of $1,000 they had little to no planning or communication. No encouragement or recommendation to get Global Entry or TSA Pre-check. You would think travel experts would know about Club Mombay for Jamaica. Nope, just go and suffer through customs. Why bother paying for a Travel Agent to take care of everything, if everything has to be a hassle to get worked out.

    Southwest dropped the ball on our flights like most of the country. We couldn't even talk directly to Southwest to fix the issue because Taking Places had to. That was fixed, but not timely.

    So again, why pay for Going Places when I have to do everything anyway. Such a rip off, and literal theft of my $1,000. I will never be back and will actively turn people away from using them.

    Dear Mr. Harris,
    We are sorry to hear that you have been dissatisfied with our services.

    We have been in touch with Sandals constantly since you have returned from your trip trying to get the dive class refund back to you. 

    When you came back from the trip and informed us that you had to pay again while in Jamaica for the corrected dive class, we contacted Sandals customer service to get the refund issued. We were informed that they had processed the refund at the time you were in Jamaica, but they did have a system error so they pushed it through again on January 16th. Sandals informed us that the refund would take 7-10 business days. 

    We followed up with Sandals as well as our Sandals direct representative after you still had not gotten your refund after 10 days (this was on January 31) and we had requested the refund again with an escalation. We agree that it is not fair that you do not have your refund yet, but Going Places does not have your refund - we are requesting it from Sandals Customer Service.

    We can only do so much. Global Entry and TSA Pre-check are services that you have to apply for through TSA, we do not apply this for you unless you are members already. Unfortunately we cannot do everything. Club MoBay is another expedited service, and we apologize this was not offered to you. 

    For the cancelled flight issues with Southwest, your refunds were issued after the cancellation. Southwest had thousands of cancelled flights and thus thousands of refunds to process so yes, it did take a while. We were in touch with you about this delay on January 4th.

    We have been in touch with Sandals Customer Services again today about your refund and they informed us that the issue should be resolved by the end of this week.

    We apologize for not meeting your expectations and would appreciate another chance to earn your business in the future.

    We will be in touch about your remaining refund as soon as we hear from Sandals Customer Service. Thank you.
