We got married September 23, 2023 and thanks to Gold Star DJ it was quite the experience! John was always responsive and helped create the perfect night with the perfect songs. We planned our wedding for over 2 years and he was in touch with us through those 2 years. John gives so many helpful hints and tips. You can definitely tell that he is experienced. John with Gold Star DJ is incredible! He played a massive role in helping us with our timeline, our vibes for the night, and planning overall. He was a HUGE help to us with planning in general, completely above and beyond our expectations!
The day off was completely seamless, we didn’t even see him arrive and set up because it was so fast! He checked on us frequently and helped remind us of things we had forgotten about day off, but had told him we wanted during meetings before the wedding. Just amazing!Gold Star DJ's reply:

John went SO above and beyond and made the day flow with so much ease. I had other vendors give me the run around and collaborating a timeline with them all was hard until I realized he was the only one who needed to be setting the timeline because he knows what hes doing. Becca, thank you so much, truly. Often time when planning big events, everyone has their own ideas of how to get them to be the best. Just as you can have too many chefs in a kitchen, sometimes you must choose which vendor to trust with leading the way. We thank you for trusting us to do so. Sometimes brides choose to use another vendor’s timeline, that’s ok too. We are always prepared to come up with a plan, but totally fine running with someone else’s too.

John was an ESSENTIAL pillar to our wedding. We booked him 6 months before our wedding day and he immediately scheduled a call with us to walk us through the process. He went above and beyond to understand the kind of wedding we wanted and the kind of music we had in mind. He helped us structure everything so we weren´t overwhelmed with the the number of songs and the type of music that went perfect for each moment of the wedding day. He then met with us in person and walked us through the order of everything, he knew the the venue we were getting married and the people who worked there and gave us amazing recommendations for the orientation of our wedding ceremony, tips for the positioning of people during toasts so the pictures looked better, basically not only helping with the music but also helping with the flow of the whole wedding, from the photographs to the speeches. All this prior to the wedding day!
And on the wedding day he was everywhere! Attentive to the volume of the music, he asked us if the music was ok and if we had any notes. He helped coordinate things with the wedding coordinators and his announcements helped us move guests from one moment to another so we didn´t get overwhelmed. And always with a smile and the best predisposition. We felt like John was our special guest of the wedding and a ton of guests came to us later to complement his music and his help throughout the whole ceremony. We wanted our wedding day to be perfect and we couldn´t have done it without John. We even bought a custom t shirt with the logo of his company to remember his incredible work!Gold Star DJ's reply:

Hands down this was the best DJ we could've hired for our wedding. He is detail oriented, super organized, and was able to help us organize our timeline of the day when we had no idea what we were doing. When it came to the day of, we made changes quickly on the fly, and John rolled with the punches and accommodated us in every way possible. He was definitely the glue that held our wedding day together and he kept us moving from even to event to keep us on track and on time. Thank you so much John!!!Gold Star DJ's reply:

John @Gold Star DJ is the absolute best! I am being honest when I say; I would have been lost without him before and even during the wedding! He seriously amazed us throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, during our first meeting where he explained everything and gave us all the details. I knew we were in super good hands. Then during the next meeting, he helped me tremendously as we came up with the event lineup and was so knowledgeable about the entire timeline of events. John helped me choose songs when I was stuck and was thorough when learning about my guests and what I wanted. He even went above and beyond and helped me plan the details for the order of my bridal party and many other things. On the day of my wedding, I knew I could trust that he would bring absolute magic to my special day, and HE EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! Every single thing I requested was done seamlessly, and the front of the DJ booth having our personalized photo on it was beautiful. My guests bragged about him all night and were very impressed with his fun, outgoing personality, kindness, song choices, and professionalism. Our family just loved him! We would have been lost without you during this entire planning process, John. Thank you for helping us as much as you did. I knew nothing about wedding planning, and you seriously saved me! If you're searching for a DJ, stop here! John will make sure your event is everything you've ever dreamed it would be. He goes above just DJing..he comes into this with the mentality of how he can make things easiest on you and make your experience incredible! I cannot express enough how much we loved our experience with John from Gold Star DJ! He was very inviting, was interested in what we wanted to listen to, and helped us plan out our reception! He even provided us with a planning guide that helped keep our order of events and music choices in an organized way! I highly recommend using John. he's very thorough and down with the bride changing things the day of even after saying to do it differently at more than one meeting lol. our crowd was super not into dancing which was a bummer but he still stayed and made sure everything was going according to plan. all the songs I wanted were played. he was great with us (he even got us our drinks when we walked in) and great with our guests. I honestly can't say enough good things about our experience. it was an amazing use of our money to go with his as our dj. Best Quality Service for the Lowest Price Around
I could not be happier with the service we received from Gold Star DJ Company aka John, for my resorts New Year’s Eve party! John was perfect for our every need. He was friendly, fun and professional. Honestly, Gold Star DJ was the best quality entertainment I could have gotten for the most reasonable price in the entire area! John charged me HALF of what all the other DJ’s in the area quoted me, for DOUBLE the playing time AND he brought his own lighting for the dance floor! He did a great job with the birthday, anniversary and just general announcements throughout the evening which took a lot of stress off of me as the hostess. The transitions were smooth and things flowed nicely all night. He announced our food specials, took song requests, and interacted/entertained the crowd while my staff was able to work the floor and get the guests what they needed. Our resort has guests/families of all ages, with very different music interests and he did an amazing job of providing a variety of music to satisfy everyone’s taste. John, as a true professional, constantly read the crowd and changed things up to keep the music exciting. He adapted to our needs to provide the best service possible at all times. He played the classic line dances and even the baby shark song to keep everyone (young and old) dancing literally all night long! Our event was 1920’s themed and he threw in current music with a jazzy twist to help carry our theme, through music, throughout the entire night. As if he hadn’t already impress me enough, he brought his own noise makers and toys to give out to the kids, and even had his own “countdown to New Year’s Eve” mix song that he played as we said goodbye to 2019 and hello to 2020. I cannot rave enough about the quality of service I received from Gold Star DJ!!! I will recommend him for any event, of any size!!Gold Star DJ's reply:
